I was up way too late reading this book last night, and I couldn't wait to dive back in today. Love, loss, drama, who's to blame, so many feelings and emotions. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Great start to the new series.
We are dealing with tragic events and the aftermath. The story bounces between present and the past, so if you're not into flashback books this is not for you.
Arrow has systematically tried to screw his entire life up and now faces house arrest. He is dealing with guilt on multiple fronts. Yet he still tries to keep his distance from the one bright spot he could have in his life, Mia.
While Mia tries to put her life back together she is simply going through the motions. Taking on the live in nanny position gets her the means to support herself and her family. This isn't her ending, she will fight to find the answers even if the cost is more than she thinks.

Spinning Out is not your average sports romance. Its intense and has this storyline that just draws a person in It goes from the past to present timeline. This is the first book in the Blackhawk Boys series.

Mia Mendez is a hardworker who is studying to become a lawyer. She dates safe but has a thing for Arrow.

Arrow had so much going for him with football. But throws it all away with drugs and alcohol. He's also in love with his best friends girlfriend Mia.

This story has so much angst. Filled with charcters carrying guilt of what happened in the past. Will they be able to get past it? Or will it be something they carry for the rest of their lives?

Spinning Out carries so much emotion a definite page turner. Between facing fears and learning forgiveness this is one story I got much more out of then I originally expected going in.

In the book we habe the cliche of the football star meeting the poor girl - and it works. Its a wonderful love story. Sexy, romance and a pageturner.

Incredibly entertaining offering drama, twists and turns, emotional roller coasters of emotions, sizzling chemistry and sweet romance......hold your interest until the last page. This book will break your heart and put it back together again. You will need tissues for this one!!

This is the type of melodrama that you really have to be in the right mood to read... and luckily I was in the right mood! I definitely had fun reading all the angst and over the top relationship plotlines. There were actually times when I thought the author could have pushed it even further.

Told in a back and forth, interwoven timelines kept the story moving and interesting. I appreciated the author’s writing style but it was also a little long, I started to get bored, but then I’d get sucked back in again.

Okay, one thing... Brogan. I died every time I read this name. Hated it so much. It sounds like a frat boy’s douchey nickname. I couldn’t take it seriously.

Overall, there is a lot going on in this book but if you’re looking for ridiculous new adult drama then this is the book for you. Definitely satisfies a guilty pleasure craving.

If you enjoy a book that is going to destroy you, this one is it! Spinning Out is so full of angst it will have your emotions spiraling. Arrow is trying to move on from football and Mia is trying to deal with what her life has turned into. Neither one of them really moving in a direction they want to be but that's the life is.

The story was great, well written, and we'll thought out. My only complaint is that I felt like the story moved pretty slow initially. Overall though, the story was pretty great and I would easily chose to read it again.

Lexi Ryan's Spinning Out is a crazy and ultra complicated rollercoaster of a story.

Mia and Arrow have long been in love, but they've never been able to be together. Mia's already dating Arrow's best friend.

Through the use of many flashbacks, we learn about their past, including what put them into the situation they're in now. Arrow's on house arrest, and Mia's a mere shell of the girl she once was.

The events that lead up to this are tragic and horrific, resulting in a story full of guilt and grief, lies and manipulation. They fight their attraction and want, deal with pain and hurt, and try to move forward with their lives.

This is one hell of a messy story. There are many secondary characters, of which many are vile. I even spent a lot of time mad at Arrow.

In the end, they'll find some peace and resolve some of their issues. But, damn, it takes a lot to get there. I definitely couldn't put it down, despite now loving the story.

Spinning Out begins the Blackhawk Boys series. Though it was entertaining enough for me to consider reading the rest of the series, it was a difficult read. I appreciated the strong dialogue, the variety of secondary characters and the complexity of the primary couple. My difficulties came in the pacing of the book, and I think they were due to the abrupt time changes. Several times when the story shifted, I found myself confused. Then when the story shifted again, I would need to do a little rereading to get back the plot line. It was a quick, sexy, read, and I would read the next book.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

If you're looking for a series to put you through endless loops of high tense emotions, look no further! From start to finish, Mia and Arrow relationship was nonstop emotional rollercoaster in “Spinning Out” that deals with love, lost, death and betrayal. For the most part I did like the series but I will say it felt like a little too much was happening with all the characters at the same time. The constant back and forth between past and present became a little tiring after a while yet it was obviously understandable considering the author was giving more background on what actually happened and what cause the dysfunctional relationship between the hero and heroine. Overall, a decent read and I will definitely look out for more series from this author in the future.

Spinning Out took me on an emotional rollercoaster. It was not what I was expecting at all. I felt so much for the characters. I wasn't sure what direction it was going to take me on. It was a unique storyline and had complex characters. I loved the supporting cast and the backstories you learned along the way. I think Lexi is a great author and this book did not disappoint.

I had to take a few days to think before I wrote this review and I'm still not sure my heart can take it. This was an excellent book that caught my attention from the start. A story about Love and Loss, had a love triangle and the sacrifices one makes in the name of friendship. This love story between Arrow and Mia was just real. Not the fall in love at first sight and everything is all hearts and roses kind of love. Our characters had to work for it. This book was fast paced and at the end a great read.

Spinning Out is a book that started out ok and quickly became great. Arrow is definitely broken in the beginning and I found his lashing out very tough to take. Slowly though, the book won me over and I found it a fun read.

I received an advance copy of this book from net galley in exchange for my honest review.

The story starts out four months in the past where a tragic accident happens. Fast forward to present day and you see how this tragedy affects the lives of the main characters as well as their family and friends.
I loved Mia and Arrow together, but was frustrated by the lack of honesty between the two of them. If they could have just been honest with their feelings and things they had done in the past, there wouldn’t have been so much angst and delay in them being together. Although I guess there wouldn’t have been much of a story, if that was the case!
This is the first book in a series, but can’t be read as a standalone.

I had a hard time with this book. I felt it was a little all over the place.

Both Arrow and Mia had so much angst. I know they are college kids but the weight of the world seems to have been put on their shoulders.

I just had a really hard time believing some of the scenarios in the love triangle.

Maybe it just tried to be too many things.

If you want angst and the push and pull of emotions, then this book is for you. And let's not forget about the scandalous questions that have rocked the small town in Indiana. The combination of all that made this book a page turner.
I really enjoyed the college (New Adult) setting-- I felt the characters were true to their age without being overly whiny or eye-roll worthy. Arrow and Mia had amazing chemistry that went beyond the physical and I enjoyed the inter-relationships between the other characters like Bailey, Brogan, Chris and Mason.
The twist at the end made for some eyes wide, heart clutching moments.
Spinning Out is definitely a worthwhile read. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series.
D 4/5
