A couple have written a book with the goal of helping others reconnect in their Christian marriage. This is a beautifully designed book set-up to use in 52 weekly devotionals. It includes questions as well as Bible scriptures and weekly exercises. All are to help guide discussions through real life topics and thoughts or issues including money and trust. Communication through faith and the Bible is found in this book. The writers have created a book using the Bible and finding the verses for couples guiding them through ways to healing or a strengthening of their marriage. This marriage devotional book guides the couple at any time they want daily as a time set aside to reconnect and find the answers they need to nurture each other as well as feel God’s love. The goal of this devotional book is to help couples and it does a pretty good job with help from the BIBLE!

I really enjoyed reading this with my husband and found lots of insightful, loving, and godly advice in it. Every marriage needs to be nurtured and god centered to survive all the daily struggles. My husband and I are evangelical Christians and don’t believe or follow the LDS beliefs but still enjoyed the Devo.
These are just some helpful things I found in this book.
“God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it. Marriage was conceived and born in the mind of God.”—Max Lucado

“Studying the Word is an essential practice for any Christian for several reasons.
1. Spending time in God’s Word is equivalent to spending time with God. And you can’t spend time with God without His influence, love, light, and grace rubbing off on you.
2.Time in the scriptures invites reflection and inspiration regarding personal questions, anxieties, frustrations, and challenges. We all need that.
3.God’s Word teaches truth, and obedience to God’s truths will guide you in how to live a life full of happiness and connection.
4.God’s Word brings healing and power into your life. There is a transformative power found in the scriptures that can be yours if you decide to open them.
5.The scriptures lead us to Christ. They don’t just teach of Christ and fill us with Christ’s love—they actually help us come to know Him and become more like Him.”

This book has a devotional for each week of the year. Each week has a bible verse, a reading and questions to answer and think about. Thank you Callisto Media via NetGalley for the free copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Be warned. If you're an evangelical Christian looking for a devotional book for your marriage, look elsewhere. The title of this book makes it sound like a Christian book because the authors quote directly from the Bible. However, don't be fooled. This book is not a Christian book, but one published by a cult. In the introduction you'll find that the authors were married in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--they are Mormons. While they may say they believe in the Christian Bible, their own version has been changed from the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, and they put more stock in their own holy books by Joseph Smith. While the authors may include some information based on valid principles of psychology and counseling, I cannot support their efforts, as ultimately, they are based on a false religion.

Note: I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for this review.
