I’m usually a fan of this author but, this time was a hard pass. I was bored by the half way mark. Storyline was mediocre at best. Disappointing as usually I love her writing.

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

*Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the ARC.*

The Make Me series has been a real delight to read. I enjoyed the storyline and I enjoyed watching Trish and Cameron come together. It was sexy, steamy, and fun.

This is the first title I can recall reading by this author. Neve is cool as a cucumber, while Damian has the hounds of Hades nipping at his heels. Neve's demeanor, however, has a lot of performance in it, and when neither of them is willing to back down, the sparks show up! There's a bit of narrative discombobulation midway through, and the vagueness of the "thing" keeping Damian from his real life gets sort of annoying. The steamy scenes are steamy, but nothing super-new or unique to these characters. I did enjoy the business concept that brought them together, and wanted more from that team!

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

Another amazing daring story from harlequin. If you read from Katee Robert, you know what to expect. Sizzling, sexy romance and just a little sweetness to appease your tastes and keep you happy. I got sucked in from the very first page.

***3.5 Stars***

This was a quick read that had me grinning one second then rolling my eyes the next….not that I was all that surprised by it considering how I felt about Becka and Aaron in Make Me Yours and the crazy they put me through. But I loved Trisha, she had her moments, but here is a woman who truly tried to look at things in a positive light and make things work. Cameron tried me. I totally understood why he didn’t like beating around the bush and preferred the blunt and to the point way of doing things, but the need to Gibbs smack him was strong. Their journey was quick and crazy, but even with the eye rolling I did enjoy it because I liked how when an issue arose and the initial reactions happened and they calmed down, they would talk things out and they both came out stronger for it.

An office romance, assumptions, secrets and a desire to do the right thing.

When Trish has the chance to help her brother out will she risk it all for an office fling or keep it professional while trying to not risk it all.

This quick read is hot, steamy and full of fun. If you like Katee you'll enjoy her steamy office romance.

A sexy read with the down on her luck Trish and her brothers friend Cameron whom is also her boss, whilst they share a lot of chemistry and a few romantic moments the story doesn't hold the appeal of Roberts previous stories so didn't find it quite as engaging as I'd expect.

Thank you NetGalley for an eCopy of Make Me Need.

I felt the characters were a bit flat and not well developed. The story line might have been believable if Trish and Cameron did not immediately get together. It was a predictable plot with both attracted to one another while trying to ignore their feelings yet have steamy scenes for a love/dislike relationship throughout the novel..

Trish needs money and gladly takes a job for her brother when he goes out on paternity leave. She ends up working with his business partner and best friend Cameron. Cameron is good looking and grumpy about people like Trish. A hot one night stand between them turns things upside down. This is a good read.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

MAKE ME NEED is book four in the smoking hot Make Me series by Katee Robert and centers around a fashion maven wannabe and the security expert who just happens to be her brothers best friend and business partner.

Trish is an interesting character. She knows what she wants in life, she just doesn't think she's at a place to reach out and grab it just yet. It doesn't take her long to get some confidence when she's bringing the sexy man in the office next door to his knees though.

Cameron tries to be someone we dislike with his hard exterior, but he had me interested pretty quickly. He knows his best friend is going to flip his lid, but he simply can't resist Trish. Watching them find their way past all of the obstacles around them is pure magic!

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced, steamy read with lots of snark weaved into the mix. Every book in this series has been quite yummy, and this particular one holds true to form.

Katee Robert has become one of my favorite romance authors over the past year, however, this book fell just a little short for me. Make Me Need is a brother's best friend office romance, that tells the story of Trish and Cameron. Trish takes a job working at her brother's security firm where she works with her brother's business partner and best friend Cameron. The two mix like oil and water, and both go between hatred and obvious attraction to the other.

Because Cameron is denying his true feelings for Trish, he comes across gruff and a little grumpy and honestly was a bit unlikeable. I had a hard time seeing him with Trish, and I struggled with their connection.

If you're looking for a quick, steamy read then Make Me Need is a perfect choice. However, for me, I just felt like it was a little too predictable, and left me wanting more.

Since its inception, I've found that it's hit or miss with Harlequin Dare romances, and while Make Me Need is the fourth book in the author's "Make Me" series, it's the second one I've read, and having given the first novel a 5-star rating, sadly, I'm hard pressed to give this one a 3-star rating.

Make Me Need is a brother's best friend romance, but it's not particularly romantic. Trish Livingston hasn't been able to find a job since she got her degree in sales and marketing, is tired of living at home with her controlling parents and needs to get out and be on her own. Her brother, Aaron, whose pregnant fiance has just given birth to their first child, has taken paternity leave from the company he and his best friend, Cameron O'Clery co-own, Tandem Security. Their office desperately needs a receptionist and a redecorating makeover, and Aaron offers Trish a more than generous salary to take on the job, and even rents her a pricey apartment within walking distance. It's an offer she can't refuse, but she'll have to work with Aaron's partner, the hunky, tall, dark, handsome and totally uncommunicative, Cameron, who she's both attracted to and frustrated by on sight. Cameron, whose last name is O'Clery, led me to assume that he was of Irish heritage, but when Trish first encounters him, we learn that he's African-American. I don't have an issue with interracial relationships, but I haven't the first clue why the author chose this option for her hero, since race has absolutely nothing to do with the story--Cameron could have been purple for all the difference it made.

Trish is pretty, smiling, perky, hard-working and spontaneous, and while Cameron is rather cold, distant and grumpy, she and Cameron strike sparks off each other from the moment they meet. Cameron knows it's wrong to get involved with his employee, just as Trish knows better than to get involved with her boss, but that doesn't stop them, and on a week-long business trip to London, the two can barely stay out out of bed long enough to conduct the business they are in London to conduct.

While the sex scenes are somewhat steamy, the abbreviated backstory of these two characters simply wasn't enough for me to bond with or especially care for either character, and, as is typical with novels in Dare line, from the very beginning to the expected HEA ending, I found this short novel to be rather uneventful, lacing a plot, far too insta-love for my tastes, extremely abrupt and rather unfulfilling. It is, however, well-written, and not a bad read, but nowhere near as engaging as Ms. Robert's first novel in this series. However, if you're looking for a quick, short, sexy read, you may enjoy this novel more than I did.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

Hellooooo Katee Robert, what an awesome story! Trish and Cameron are fantastic characters, likeable and the plot runs smoothly and quickly. I'm loving the Dare series. I loved the challenge of Cameron and Trish's approach. Great Office read and perfectly in line with the Dare series. Giggles abound and it was refreshing to not have truckloads of angst and drama. i really, really enjoyed this.

This is my second Katee Robert book, and while she can definitely write some steamy scenes, the characters in this one fell flat for me. Trish's youngness comes through from the start and somehow seems to get worse the more I read. Now, I remember being 24 and thinking I knew everything, which I obviously did not, so maybe that's why it was hard to read. And even though Cameron tried to be supportive and encouraged her to be honest with herself and grow, she pretty much dug her heels in more. That's what made the HEA so unbelievable. They both literally spend the whole entire book telling each other it's not going to work out and then everything falls into place at the end. I might have bought this as a "happily for now" book, but when you start bringing up having babies about knowing each other 7 days it's a bit much.

Lots of great sex, but not a lot of substance. It's a fine read if you're not looking for anything deeper than a quick, hot read.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

This was fun. Cameron and Trish, like the couples before them in the series, are opposites. She's all cheery happiness and he needs a keeper ever since his grump attitude has lost accounts for the business. While her brother and his business partner is out on paternity leave, the two are left to their own devices. They burn hot and they burn fast. He sees through her facade of eternal happiness and she finds his attitude somewhat endearing.

Robert wrote another hot read with enough emotion to have me devouring it in one sitting.

Yes a typical Harlequin Book. Very predictable. Made for good mindless unchallenged reading. For me I believe I would’ve preferred an audiobook

A readable romance but I found my attention drifting from the story. The combination of best friend's little sister plus workplace didn't work for me as I had hoped and I went on to read other titles.
