Trish Livingston wants to be a designer, but until that happens, she needs cash. When her brother offers her a job while he’s on paternity leave, she takes it. She’s even willing to put up with his best friend and business partner, the extremely grumpy Cameron O’Clery. Cameron hates people, especially perky people like Trish. He tries to avoid her. That is, until a business trip throws them together and passion erupts.
I liked this contemporary romance. The chemistry between the main characters was evident, and the sex was steamy, yet tasteful. I loved how we got to see a little of Trish’s past and what made her “tick.” I wish we could’ve seen more of Cameron’s past and why he was so blunt and tactless. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Trish takes a job at her brothers’ security firm. In his absence she gets to experience the full charm of her brother’s partner Cameron in all his irritable glory.

Cameron can’t decide whether he is more annoyed with Trish’s happy disposition or his attraction to her. His feelings are irrelevant as she is completely off limits.

Although sweet, there is only so much Trish will stand for. Between Cameron’s grumpiness, bossiness and mixed signals, it is enough to push her over her limits. From spontaneous kisses, elevator action and a steamy business trip away, Cameron can only resist so long.

Make Me Need was a quick steamy office read without much drama or angst. Just a story of bullheaded male denying his feelings over a ridiculous bro code. This read was enjoyable but unfortunately not very exciting.

Brother's best friend is a trope I quite like so I was of course interested in continuing this series and read this book which was a quick, fun and sexy romance. I liked how different the main characters were from each other; on the one hand you have Trish who is very lively and cheery and then you have Cameron who is all quiet and serious but they totally fit together. I admit sometimes I got a bit annoyed at Trish but nothing that made me want to stop reading, plus Cameron more than makes up for it.
Overall it's sexy, fun and light romance story.

Cameron and Trish are not what you would consider compatible. Trish is bubbly, fun, and lively. Cameron is gruff and tough, muscle and brain. Trish is there to do the job her brother hired her to do but the sight of Cameron in the office makes it difficult to think. Cameron is rethinking his agreement to allow his partner's baby sister to come and work for them. This book is full of funny, hot romance. Sure to please!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley & author.

I was excited to read a new to me author... the basis was a brother's best friend romance.. almost a forbidden love.. although the brother didn't really care that they got together.

it's a pretty popular trope now... but I feel like this story was slightly lacking the chemistry and plot we hope for.

i'd try other books by the author though.

I breezed through this book in less than a day. While I didn't enjoy this book as much as Make Me Yours, it was still a fun read. I just felt like it lacked some of the fun dynamics that were in the other book. I didn't quite feel the same connection with Trish and Cameron and I did with Aaron and Becka.

I would give this ⭐️. Cameron and Trish’s story was more than flat, it was non-existent. There was no easy chemistry between the two.

There was no connection between her fancy free personality and him being a daily jerk.

Then there is the cover. The previous books in this series sported a character in all his beautiful glory, but this book with a black man doesn’t get the same treatment. It’s incredibly disappointing.

I seriously love Katee Robert's novels. They are sexy, emotional and always fantastic! Make Me Need was a delicious office read between boss and employee/bestfriend's little sister. Trish and Cameron were so captivating that I did not once lift my head from the page. I never wanted it to end.

When Cameron O' Clery is forced to deal with his best friend and business partner's younger sister, Trish, as their new employee, he never expected the level of attraction he would have for her. This novel was so addicting and Cameron's grouchy, surly personality hid the smoldering man inside. Gah!! I legit wanted to jump him myself.

While I loved the story I did feel that the beginning was a little rushed as I would have loved more build up before their first kiss/connection. It almost felt like we were dropped into their story at the twenty percent mark as it seemed to move very rapidly. But despite this, I loved their feelings and connections and especially being in Cameron's head as it was so nice seeing his feelings for Trish. I absolutely cannot wait for more from this author!  4 stars! ~Ratula

I really liked Cameron and Trish. This book was hot and sexy. I really enjoyed the story that these two had together. I thought the journey these two went on could not have been done any other way. Enjoyed.

I am a fan of Katee Robert's O'Malley series and the Wrong Bed, Right Guy series. While Make Me Need was a quick fun read, I don't feel like it was the same caliber of the above series. There wasn't much character development, as well as very little in terms of descriptions of the way the two looked. I just know Cameron was an African American man.
I think while the story had a lot of potential, it needed a bit more depth.

Ok this started out great. It did! Cameron is Trish's older brother's best friend since college. They've never met what with one thing or another. And she gets to work with him for awhile while waiting on her own plans to fall into place. Trish is bubbly and cheerful while Cameron is quiet and not at all sociable. And there's heat and attraction between the two.

And it was great when the two finally got together. But then Trish started to get annoying. Really. Wanted to shake her and say hey, plans are not set in stone!! Be flexible. Sheesh. Mostly Trish I blame. Cameron, well he's a guy. So a little slow on the uptake. But Trish. Grrr. She's luck to have Cameron.

Not the best book in the series but...it's ok.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for a copy of the book.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my review.

This is the first book I've read by Katee Roberts and from the description, I was intrigued.
However I failed to pick up on some of the things that were alluded to in the description.

The book itself is a sweet romance with a little bit of heat thrown in. Trish is working for her brother's company (although I had trouble figuring what she was supposed to do - maybe Girl Friday?) and finds herself increasingly attracted to Cameron, her brother's business partner.

She is all smiles, sunshine and happiness, who tries really hard to please everyone. He is serious, struggles to understand some of the weird things people do and prefers to be alone most of the time.

While I liked Trish and Cameron's story, there wasn't a lot of depth to it. At times I found it intensely frustrating to listen to Trish bend over backwards to placate her mother, who sounded like she was bordering on some kind of breakdown.

However, if you want an easy read about two people who deserve their happy ending, you'll like this one.

Trish takes a temp job in the 2-man high tech company her brother owns with his partner, Cameron. They fall in love, of course, in the best-friend's sister romance. It takes place over a few weeks & the romance ramps up real fast.

The hero is well drawn. A complex man more comfortable with software than people. I found the heroine's motivations murky & she is kind of snarky. We get that she has suffered some sort of career setback that is making her question her path in life & she is quite down on herself. For most of the story she appears to be running from her helicopter mother rather than TO something.  There are some inconsistencies with her that I won't detail because that would be spoiling -- but things like saying (or doing) something irrational that provokes Cameron, then giving him a bad time about getting mad because he got provoked. Cameron has the patience of a saint.

Overall not bad, but I liked the hero a whole lot better than the heroine.

Make Me Need by Katee Robert is fourth in a series but can be read as a standalone. I'm new to this author but enjoyed this fast, sexy Harlequin Dare read. Would certainly read more by the author in the future.

Once I applied for this and was approved, I then realized this was book 4 in a series by Katee Robert. Not that this story can't be read as a standalone, because it can. I just wish I had known so I could have has previous knowledge of the characters.
This was a enemies to sort of friends to lovers story, that spanned a total of a few weeks. Insta love is kind of a hard thing for me to get into but the insta heat Trish and Cameron had, that I could deal with.
A quick read in the Harlequin Dare genre, it is a little bit spicier and I am totally ok with this.
The attraction is instant and they try to fight it, well Cameron does. A business trip to London, throws Trish and Cam together and romance ensues. Thrown into a meeting with a woman from Cam's past really throws Trish.
I think if you are looking for a sexy sweet quick read , this is the book for you.

I loved Gideon and Lucy. A story that doesn't exactly fall under one specific trope was pretty crafty for to do.

Gideon and Lucy danced around with their chemistry. Guilt and loyalty kept him from pursuing anything with Lucy in the past. Pain kept her guarded and at arms length. But when a professional goal has her calling Gideon, lines are blurred and some things of the past just can't be kept in the dark anymore.

Ms. Robert can deliver a hot, sexy scene like a champ. You can feel the emotions running through the characters are you read them. In all honesty, the story was an excellent read.

I didn't realize going in that this was the fourth book in a series by new to me author Katee Robert, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone. This is also my first read from the Harlequin Dare line, which based on this read is spicier than the traditional Harlequin titles I'm used to. For me this book was just okay. It was a very quick read and the entire story only spanned a couple of weeks so the relationship went from zero to sixty in no time. I feel like the love story was both really simple, but also more complicated than it needed to be all at the same time.
Trish is a struggling recent college grad who can't find a job in her field. To get her out of her parent's house, her brother offers her a job at his cyber security firm while he is out on paternity leave. Enter Cameron, brother's gruff best friend and business partner. There is instalust the moment they set eyes on each other, but the whole employee/boss, best friend's little sister situation makes them decide to keep their hands off. That lasts for about five minutes. I'm all for good sex scenes in books, and these were pretty good, but I didn't feel as though there was enough development of the characters, their feelings, or their relationship. In fact, both Trish and Cameron wonder through out the book if their relationship was being held together by all the hot sex. I don't think there was enough getting to know you, and the issues that they did discuss were always about Trish and quite honestly she started to come off as whiny. I felt like Cameron was still unknown to me by the end of the book, and to Trish for that matter. That's why I had an issue with the massive declaration at the end. No spoilers but drastic life changes were made for a relationship that had lasted less than a month. I think it could have ended with an acceptable happy for now, but instead it was a HEA that just wasn't believable for me..

A sweet story about a girl and her big brother's best friend/boss... This is an entertaining read that gives us Cam's story (who we met in the last book) and that of Trish. While at times she is a bit whiney about her plan, it wasn't enough to be truly annoying!

All in all I enjoyed this story, and can't wait to see if there are any more in the series

Cam can be my book boyfriend anytime. He's HOT! Trish is a very lucky girl. I really enjoyed, Make Me Need.

3.5 stars for another steamy romance from the Harlequin Dare line. Cameron cracked me up with his no BS attitude. Many people find him annoying and as far as being his company’s face to clients, he finds himself failing much of the time. Trisha is hired by his business partner, who happens to be her brother, to be the face and manage him while he is out on paternity leave.

I like Trish as a character and the way she manages Cam and his attitude and sees beneath the gruff to someone with a good heart. Not sure I liked her attitude about relationships in general and her dislike of deviating from her plan.

Overall, a good romance.
