This book was fun, but there was nothing particularly special about it. I enjoyed the characters and it's a quick enough read that it's worth it if you have time.

Steamy office romance where opposites attract, leading to an entertaining happily ever after. I would have loved just a bit more intimacy outside the bedroom, but it was an overall good read. Tetering in the fence between steamy and erotic, with strong language.

The latest in this series, the story of Trish and Cameron. He is her new boss, so while they are attracted to each other they try to hide it.

A quick read, but nice to see what is happening with characters from the previous books too.

Last year at the Baltimore Book Fest there was a discussion panel called “Where Are All the Asian Beach Reads?” It could have easily substituted BM/WW interracial for Asian and been just as relevant. While the pairing of black men with white women is frequently included in urban fiction, that combination is much rarer in mainstream romance—and usually the socioeconomic differences assign poverty to the black man and wealth to the white woman. Katee Robert cleverly rejects those conventions and more in Make Me Need.

Trish Livingston is a twenty-four-year-old college grad who’s struggling to establish her professional career and ends up working for her older brother Aaron’s cybersecurity company. She starts while he’s on paternity leave.

Aaron had hired her to redesign the office space, liaise with incoming clients and provide general support to him and Cameron. [page 10]

Easy, right? Wrong.

Cameron O’Clery, Aaron’s business partner, is the opposite of Trish’s bubbly, charming personality. Their collision course in the workplace generates a series of madcap slapstick encounters that create opportunities for deeper emotional intimacy, which Trish and Cameron explore. Their connection sparks a smoking hot sexual chemistry that singes readers’ senses in only the most satisfying ways.

It would have been a pleasure to see at least a portion of the model’s face in the cover art to reinforce the idea that a black man is much more than just his body.

This was a quick, sexy read. I think there are others in tne series, but this can be read as a stand-alone. It didn’t have much substance, but if you are looking for decent writing and good sexy with a HEA, this was pretty good! Thank you to netgalley for the ARC!

3.5 stars

I was very eager to get to this installment from the ending of Make Me Yours. While this is a hot quick read, something was missing for me to fully enjoy it like I did with the other three in the "Make Me" series. It could be the story plot, or the main characters not connecting enough for me. Overall, I will still continue to read Katee's work.

I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Fun

Opposites attract in this quick read about an unlikely pair who find they are perfect for each other.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Right from the start, you can tell Trish and Cameron have the chemistry to explode up in flames. On that aspect, it's a great book. They're hot for each other and it's well written. But that's about it. There's the main course but little to no filler. It was sort of disappointing because they had the potential to be a great couple just not enough chance.

This is Trish and Cameron’s book, Trish needs cash really bad so when her brother offered her a job while he is out on paternity leave she takes it although she’s not looking forward to putting up with his best friend and business partner the grumpy Cameron O’Clery ! Cameron hates everybody he can’t stand preppy people happy people basically he hates people LOL especially people like trash she’s too bubbly! These two have such a hard chemistry towards each other but they’re doing everything to stay away because Trish knows her brother won’t be happy and Cam knows his best friend will be pissed!! Lol I really love Katee Roberts but this book I think might be my least favorite of hers I mean it was well written and it was OK but it was really really boring to me?! not much happens at all, I mean it’s a nice flowing story but there’s just nothing to it. no meat to it, not much happens so if you’re into just a chill book then this one’s for you! thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I had conflicting emotions while reading this. On one hand I found the chemistry between the two characters sizzling and the slow sexual tension hot but the actual love story was lacking. Trish is fighting to be both self reliant and ambitious. She works as an assistant for her brother's company and can't resist her brother's partner Cameron. Cameron is aloof, awkward and blunt. Also overprotective and demanding. He's drawn to Trishs sunny personality and stubborn streak. The problem comes in when Trish can't decide what she wants more. She seems to want Cameron but can't compromise on her need for independence. This duality leaves her as an unreliable character who picks a fight at a whim and makes her appear indecisive and petty. I was not a fan of the heroine. The ending left me feeling dissatisfied because I felt Trish starts unnecessary drama to coerce him into an outcome she desires.

Cameron’s business partner, Aaron, hires his sister to help get their office in proper order while he is on paternity leave. Trish and Cameron have instant chemistry, but fight it until they end up sharing a suite during a business trip to London. They fall in love, but aren’t sure how to proceed since Cameron is Trish’s boss. Then, Trish is offered her dream job in California, while Cam’s business is in New York. Fortunately for both of them, Aaron intervenes by telling Cam to find a solution, and he does.

This was a quick, but fun and sexy read. It was also nice to catch up with Aaron, his fiancé Becca, and their infant daughter from an earlier book!
