Mixes Christianity and Judaism with fictional meetings between characters from the bible and the Torah to create a view of a modern religion of compatibility.
A joy to read

Written in short bite sized chapters, this book looks at 7000 years of Jewish wisdom. It looks at its origins and the reinterpretations and changes made along the way. It reinforces how fundamental this is to morality and why, in spite of centuries of attempts from all corners to eradicate it, it has survived.

This book is beyond marvelous! It uses fictional meetings between several important Torah and Biblical personages to explore and reinforce the compatibility and shared heritage of the two major religions. Did I say that it is wonderful? And eminently readable!

Phenomenal book

Asher Elkayam did an amazing job of coverying a myriad of subjects in his Jewish Wisdom A Modern Look. Part history lesson part sociological study I was impressed with the amount of material covered and the conciseness of its presentation. This is a book to savor not devour.
