Cassie wanted a life away from small town and she will become new owner/chef in Houston until she has to be back to take care her grandparents house. She didn't want to come back to life she left behind. Now she is back, but she is not planning to spend more than couple months to fix up her grandparents house and sell it. Everything should be easy peasy until Robbie showed up.
Robbie lost his best friend and now she is back and he wants her back. He would do everything in his power to have a second chance with her if he could convince her to stay. But it won't be easy since she is selling her grandparents house.
Cassie has work cut out for her and having Robbie around messes with her feeling. They were best friends growing up and they were there for each other they went each way for college. Both faced challenges but they both wanted to end up in same school until everything fell apart for Robbie.
Cassie was it for Robbie but they both have past they will need to discuss but Cassie's boyfriend and Robbie's girlfriend is in their way.
Will they finally find there way back to each other and find their happily ever after.
It was sweet second chance story. Robbie and Cassie were perfect for each other and it was great start of the series.
Thanks to Author and Netgalley for my ARC in exchange for honest review.

The title sounds like a nice chick-lit, but the cover makes it quite clear that it's rather a steamy romance. Still, I was quite surprised to read the word p*nis in the very first sentence already. Talk about what he could do with all the tools in his belt to various body parts of her begins pretty fast, which makes it seem as if their (mutual) physical attraction is the only thing going for these childhood sweethearts. Dylann Crush could have invested in more shared scenes that not only consist of teasing, flirting or being mad at each other. The characterisations of Cassie and Robbie individually on the other hand was pretty well done, they got some depth and background. But together they seemed to have only one thing going for them. Also, lots of scenes or actions from the characters (including the exes, best friends, the Dad) were very clichéd. There was nothing really new or surprising about it all.

Of course you know where the story is leading. The subtitle - A Lovebird Cafe Novel - makes it also pretty clear. I just wish we could have seen more of the actual Lovebird Cafe, not only in the epilogue. I guess one has to read the 2nd part to learn more about that. But the blurb of the 2nd book makes it clear that this will be about two completely new characters that we haven't even met yet, but not about Cassie & Robbie

I love a good second chance romance, and this one delivered.
Sweet Tea & Second Chances can be a bit cliche and predictable but that is what makes it so good and satisfying. The story is sweet and steamy at the same time, with enough small town charm thrown in. A quick and enjoyable read.

Second chance romance. Sweet Tea & Second Chances was a cute story. A small town romantic comedy. It was cute. Nothing too memorable though.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This was a decent read. I like second chance romances as much as the next reader, but I think my issue with this one was the point of view of hero and heroine. The back and forth was not my cup of tea. Characters each have emotional baggage so the characters were well developed. I have read other books by Dylann Crush and have loved them so hard for me to give this low of a rating.

I received an advance copy from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review.

Sexy, emotional, and heartfelt. I read this second chance love story in one sitting. Just pulls you in and doesn’t let go at all. Even when finished they characters stayed with. Definitely be looking for more books by this author, especially if they are anything like this one is. Totally recommend. Happy reading everyone!!

This is the first book I have read by Dylann Crush and it won’t be the last I fell in love with the residents of Swallow Springs and I look forward to reading more in the Lovebird Cafe as well as checking out other books by this very talented author.
Cassie is back in the small town she grew up in to sell her late grandma’s house the only problem is it’s needs a lot of work before it can go on the market and the only construction firm in town capable of completing the job is run by Robbie who just happens to be her childhood sweetheart. Cassie and Robbie grew up together and shared many firsts but when it came to college they ended up going their separate ways will the second time around be any different for this adorable couple...........
This story is told in both Cassie and Rob’s POV and it was easy to get involved with their journey and the residents of Swallow Springs. This book ticked so many boxes for me, I love this authors style of writing, I loved the characters, the banter left me laughing and smiling like a Cheshire Cat, I swooned as Rob set out to win Cassie’s love again and I gasped as she dug her heels in but in the end this book is not only a great second chance romance it’s also small town romance at its best. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers.

Cassie and Robbie were two peas on a pod growing up. They were best friends and eventually sweethearts, falling deep into young love. Of course, things happened that caused them to split up. Nine years later, these mid twenty-year olds run into each other again when Cassie comes home to fix up and sell her grandparents home and Robbie is the contractor helping her. There’s nothing like a summer romance to rekindle feelings that never left, but when one of them is playing for keeps, what are the chances for a second chance?

I really liked Cassie! She was sweet, smart, extremely stubborn and when she cut loose she was funny. She was also a rigid planner with a checklist of goals to accomplish. Sh had a well of feelings and it was an interesting journey watching her work through the gamut of emotions Robbie, and Cassie’s own memories, took her on.

Robbie was a riot! He had a wacky sense of humor and could be serious when need be, but it was his deep core of loyalty, compassion, and love for those dearest to him that won me over! It’s hard to resist a guy who would lay his heart all out there, trying to win his girl.

With a mix of sweet, steamy, and lots of fun, I loved seeing these to rediscover each other! I know their relationship was inevitable, but wrenches being thrown into the woodwork of their relationship kept me flipping to see where things would finally end up!

Dylann Crush is a new for me author and I am in love with the first book in her Lovebird Cafe series! I fell in love with Cassie and Robbie’s second chance romance and had a ball seeing where things would go! The extra bonus scene really had me in stitches too! Talk about things going wrong! The other characters-even the mean girls-are worth a mention, but it was Misty and Jake who had me cracking up with mentions of parenthood, quality time, and their boys mischief! I’ve already preordered the anthology their novella is included in and can’t wait for August to get here!

I have to thank Aly for posting this cover on Instagram. It caught my eye and and curiosity and when I literally stumbled on it through Netgalley a fewdays later and I couldn’t resist requesting. I’m happy I did since I found a new author with a backlist to check out!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book offers lots of down-home charm, humor and genuine emotion, but also a major case of frustration. I found it very easy to like Robbie and Cassie I wanted so desperately to like more than I did. She was so blind and stubborn. For me, almost to the point that she seemed unrealistic. I could never truly grasp how someone that was so focused on having a home, could be so eager and willing to sell the only one she had ever really had. If she had been all about being a successful chef and restaurateur, it would have made sense. That was not the case though, sure that was a part of it but she wanted a home, a place that was her own. Plus, I wasn't a huge fan of how she thought of Robbie. He needed to grow up?!!! He was a guy with two jobs and was taking care of his terminally ill father, A man he didn't even get along with and had been a horrible dad! I will be honest, Robbie wasn't a prince. He was a real guy. He made some mistakes and could be a jerk sometimes. He really loved to push Cassie's buttons, but just in that way of A. a guy that likes you and wants to get you worked up and B. As a longtime friend that just has to egg you on and knows the best way to do it. The story was enjoyable though. These childhood friends and teenage sweethearts share a colorful, poignant and painful history. I enjoyed going along for the ride as these two got their second chance at love. For the most part this is a fun, angst filled book, that has an entertaining cast of secondary characters and plenty of small town allure. I liked this book and I am looking forward to reading book two.

This story is about second chances. Cassie has come home for the summer with the hope of fixing up her grandmother’s home and selling it. With the money, she is hoping to make from the sell she wants to use that as an investment in a new restaurant. She is a chief and she is looking at this as her opportunity also to be part owner. The person she ends up hiring for the remodel is her former boyfriend Robbie. Robbie is still in love with her and does not understand all of her rushes to do the remodel and leave town without giving them another chance or even thinking about the closed down café in town where she would be her own boss. There are issues with other people in their lives but neither one is really serious though Cassie thinks she is. Also, there are letters from nine years ago that neither one has talked about. Then there is his father who really makes everything a mess from the past. This turns out to be a good story and I did end up liking the characters.

The Story of Cassie and Robbie. A second chance romance for childhood sweethearts.

Can they move past what happened when they were teenagers?

Entertaining, and at times emotional, read.

I've just stumbled across a ray of sunshine and it's name is Dylann Crush. Sweet Tea & Second Chances is a smile in waiting. Robbie and Cassie stumble into a legend and run off with your heart. Ms. Crush takes a funny, yet insightful approach to romance that will put a little love in any heart. ONE CLICK ROMANCE FAVORITE!!

Who doesn't like second chance romances? “Sweet Tea & Second Chances” practically has it a title for crying out loud yet despite that, there wasn't anything particularly interesting about this series. Pretty much a bland read with characters that didn't do much to pull the reader in. Sadly this just wasn't a keeper.

I love second chance romance books and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Loved Robbie and. Cassie - though at times I wanted to shake Cassie! The H and h hadn’t seen each other for 9 years and the separation back then was due to someone meddling. They rekindle their romance but Cassie has big dreams and think she needs to make them in Dallas. Luckily she comes to her senses and we get our HEA. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Thanks to NetGalley for the copy.

I loved this book! Cassie and Robbie’s story was so sweet. I love second chance romances and I love stories told from a first person dual POV and this book had both. I loved Dylann’s writing style and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.
