J.T. Ellison just keeps getting better and better. This book was awesome, suspenseful, mysterious, couldn't put it down, characters were great, and the storyline was superb. I don't want to give any spoilers on a book that won't be released until December, but please put this book on your list to read as soon as it comes out! Don't miss it, don't forget it. You will not forget it once you've read it, for sure! In the meantime, read all her other books! All great, especially the Taylor books!

So far this is one of my favorite books of the year. I really liked that it grabbed my attention throughout the entire book. I haven't really liked many YA thrillers in a while but this one is an exception. I'm glad I was able to get an advanced copy!

Just when I thought I was going to say...I KNEW IT, I was thrown a curve. An amazing stand alone read from an author I have always enjoyed.

The book releases in December. Mark your calendars, or preorder NOW.

Amazing new book by JT Ellison. This one grabbed me from the first pages and I was unable to put it down. The twist in the middle kept me reading. I've loved all of her other books and cannot wait for the next one! Thank you for the advanced copy.

3.25 stars rounded down to 3.*

Good Girls Lie is the first book I've read by J.T. Ellison. I found it on a list of thrillers not to be missed in 2019. I was excited to find it on NetGalley and lept at the chance to review it for Net Galley.

Good Girls Lie takes place the Goode Academy, a prestigious all-girls private high school located in the tiny town of Marchburg Virginia. Led by a young headmistress, the girls of the school are the daughters of Senators, Tycoons, and Scions.

The book opens with a grisly crime scene: a young student hanging by her neck from the gates of the school.

Flashing forward, we meet Ash Carlisle, a British girl arriving at Goode following the tragic death of both of her parents. Ash has secrets to keep in her past and issues to hide from her classmates and the headmistress.

The students are catty and vicious, the hazing is outrageous and shocking and the story is full of plot twists and trickery.

I enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it to my friends who enjoy thrillers.

*with thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Even a snake couldn’t perform as many twists and turns as this novel does. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, along comes something else which makes you start thinking all over again! A fantastic read.

This book had so many twists and turns that I had to re read parts of it. The ending was surprising. It is set in an all girls school and show how mean girls can be to each other

I absolutely love J.T Ellison and jump on any new book she writes. This was a really dark and effed up plot and the element of an all girls school full of rich, snotty, mean girls made it even more the darker. On that note, there was a lot going on and I found myself flipping backwards sometimes because I couldn't quite keep track of who was narrating at that point. The ending was mysterious as well and left me saying hmmmm.
I honestly am torn between 3.5 and 4 stars. It had me jumping in feet first at the beginning and then I felt somewhat bored of the usual "mean girls" cliches, then I was in it again trying to figure everything out.

Thank you #NetGalley, the author and the publisher for my free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review. 3.5 star, rounded to a 4.

J.T. Ellison is one of my favourite Authors. This book is a must read. An elite female only boarding school. Some nice girls but also some egotistical bullies. Secret societies, affairs, suicides and murder. I didn't know who the imposter was until the end. Thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin-Mira and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

Good Girls Lie by JT Ellison was a book about truth lies and deception set at a prestigious and mysterious girls boarding school in the US.

I really enjoyed this book, I am not sure what about it it I enjoyed most but I would definitely recommend it. It brings together mistrust and psychological thrills. Throughout this whole book, I was never sure who or what to believe and it wasn't until towards the end I started to get where the book was going.

A must read for thriller fans!

Good Girls Lie by J.T. Ellison. Harlequin-Mira, 2019.

After a family tragedy, Ash Carlisle travels from Oxford England to her sophomore year at an exclusive American boarding school. Ash has her own troubles and history, as do Ash’s room mate, and most of those that she encounters; dysfunctional mother-daughter relationships are prevalent with some very bad fathering thrown in.

Chapter One begins with a death, the Dean identifies the body and then Chapter Two slips back to Ash’s British Airways flight and her arrival at the school. Though there are a few early hints of what might be happening, this complex psychological thriller is not completely predictable. Although the story flows well, several characters flash back, so I wasn’t certain who was narrating until just around the ¾ point where the story begins to catch up with Chapter One.

Good Girls Lie, one of the most compelling books that I’ve read this year, caught and held my attention from page one and kept it right through to the end. I recommend it.

J.T. Ellison simply does not disappoint! I love when author exceeds my expectations Every. Single. Time. Good Girls Lie is a chilling mystery/thriller that had me guessing until the very end. Throughout the novel, J.T. Ellison does a great job with leading the reader in several directions and I found myself not exactly sure what was fact and what’s fabricated which I found added so much to chilling complexity of this novel!! The storyline was brilliantly developed and trust me when I say you will definitely be “on the hook” until the last page! Good Girls Lie is a total 5 star novel that will absolutely keep you up way past you’re bedtime!!!!

Dark and twisty. Starts out really compelling, but gets a bit slow in the middle. There is a LOT going on in this book- some of the characterizations/back stories seem superfluous. It has a solid twist, though, and I can see it being a good book club pick.

Psychological thriller with many twists and turns. Sometimes it seems hard to follow all of the twists.

A very interesting and intense read although at times was very hard to follow. Would recommend though

Honestly not sure how I feel about this book. It hooked me from the start, but I found it confusing and hard to follow at times. I wanted to finish it, but felt like it dragged on and on and on and got more confusing as it went. Hard to keep straight all the characters, who was nice, who was mean, who was both, and leaves you continually trying to put the story together. I think I liked it...but still feel confused.

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This story just went on, and needlessly on. Eighty-nine chapters. The writing is decent - there were many great and even clever lines. After a while, there were too many great and clever lines. There was also way too much interior monologue (telling and not showing), and everyone and everything is shrouded in mystery. Now HERE is a novel that should have been turned into a serial. Thomas Wolfe had serious issues with over writing and I was feeling a sense of deja vu with this novel as well. This book was certainly not my cup of tea.

Interesting and unusual story with many twists. Have read most of J T Ellisons books and this is not as good as others.

There is some gory stuff here, being in a snooty rich girls' school only adds to the viciousness.
The way this book was set up there was lots of semi veiled references to how things had happened before and allusions to some shady business taking place now.
It's a bit frustrating to get teased when you know it will be pages and pages before the story is told; to keep trying to put the little clues together.

Normally I like JT Ellison, but this is not one of the best. The meanness of everyone, the betrayals, and ultimately the end of a few of them is disheartening.

The ending is sad, but I am not sure I totally understand who is who, so maybe it wasn't as sad as I thought.
