I could barely get through a few chapters of this book and had to give up. The plot seemed fantastical off the bat, the characters unlikable and awkward, and the writing pedestrian.

This book was suspenseful, with interesting characters and good story besides just the fear. Going in, I didn't realize it was book three but I was able to read it with no confusion, didn't feel like I missed anything.

Kellen has gone through a lot, and her and her husband and daughter are trying to move past it all as a family. Kinda hard when there are bad people coming for you and you have to hide. Kellen's hubby is sweet and supportive, her daughter is a typical preteen. The character development was really well done.

Not only was this full of action and scary moments, the diary was so interesting, the house was a mystery. This is the first I've read by this author and I totally would read more. I really enjoyed it.

I started to read this book and it felt like I was missing background information. Cool book for people who read the series...not so much for someone diving in. I feel like the cover should state that it's part of a series, not just 'a novel'. Maybe I'll revisit this book if I decide to read the series.

This isn't a stand at lone series and I wish I had known that when I started to read the book. While the author Christina Dodd does her best to give readers as much information as possible to be caught up with what is going on there are times new readers will be lost.

The characters are well developed for those who started with book 1 but those jumping in will find themselves a little lost but the author ability to paint pictures though written word will have readers excited.

That being said as the story takes off readers will be wanting more as the book takes it time to bring the intense mystery and suspense will keep readers wanting more and seeking out other books written by Christina Dodd.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher HQN Books for the advance copy of Christina Dodd Strangers She Knows

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin romance for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Is this part of a series? I felt sort of like I walked into the.middle.of a conversation. This reads just ok as a stand alone. I truly felt like I was missing a lot of information, maybe a chapter about what happens before we arrive? I liked the book, it has a little romance, lots of suspense and a bit.of mystery. I rate this a 3.5

The Cape Charade undertaker, Arthur Earthman, is used to dealing with the deceased. What he's not used to is hearing noises coming from the casket display room, when he goes to investigate he finds Miranda Nyugen. Miranda, a widow, had told Arthur she was going to bring her deceased husband home for a proper burial, where she and their twins could visit his grave. Miranda wasn't there to pay her respects in the dead of the night, and she wasn't Miranda Nyugen either. After killing Arthur, she made sure that his wife delivered a message for Kellen along with leaving her calling card--cutting off the deceased hands. Mara Philippi, Kellen's nemesis is back!

For the sake of precaution, Max and Kellen decided to take Rae, their ten year old daughter, and stay in Morgade Hall on Isla Paraiso. A remote island, with the three of them, a cook, and the couple, who are eccentric caretakers. Rae has to get used to having no cell phone or computer access. Kellen is recovering from brain surgery and trying to regain the use of her atrophied hand. As a way to spend time, Kellen and Rae search the house and find an attic with a diary. The three of them got engrossed in the long ago story of the life of the previous owner's daughter.

As the family, scouts out the island, they have to deal with unfriendly caretakers, a cook that only is along for the money and the only means of outside contact is the radio in the helicopter. Rae makes a promise and as a storm brews takes off on her bike to deliver a message, but when she returns back home, it's obvious something is wrong and Max has to leave Kellen behind, in order to get their daughter to the hospital. Left alone on the island, Kellen will have to win a game using her wits because she's not alone at all, but she does have a guardian angel on her side.

I've been hooked on this series, since the first book came out. One of my favorite series! It draws you in and keeps you glued to the pages, wanting to know what happens next. Delivers one surprising twist after the next! I loved the ending of this book!

I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from NetGalley via Harlequin-Romance and have voluntarily reviewed this book.

In this thrilling conclusion of the Cape Charade series, Kellen is finally free to live a quiet life. Well, actually, she is rather forced to do so. She has just had a bullet removed from her brain and she is currently striving to regain some skills. She is now with her husband, Max and daughter Rae.

However, Kellen is not so safe after all. Someone has managed to escape prison, thus forcing Kellen and her family to flee in order to survive. What a challenge for Kellen. She has proven to be a strong, resourceful woman who has survived the unthinkable before now. Currently, however, she is far less than 100%, and she has much more at stake since she is finally with her family.

I have read every book in this series, including the prequel and the novellas. I am truly invested in Kellen, Max and Rae. I adore them, in fact. Kellen is by far my favorite heroine in any book I have ever read. What Kellen must do to survive is nothing less than miraculous! She must use her wits to deal with a formidable foe. Max has proven to be excellent in this series and is even more so in this story.

Although this book was not due to be out for several months when I received it, I pushed aside my TBR only to sit down and read it from cover-to-cover in one sitting. My only sadness is that we have reached the end of this incredible series.

Hard to Kill, Dead Girl Running, Families and Other Enemies, What Doesn't Kill Her and Hidden Truths are the previous books in what is one of the best series I have ever read.

Many thanks to HQN Books and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

I will review this on Amazon on Sept 17, 2019

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review.

This was the second book I have read from this author. This was another awesome action packed thriller. I love Kellen, Max and their daughter Rae. The supporting characters in this book certainly had their issues, but that helped to make the storyline even more interesting. When a serial killer is headed your way, to kill you and your family what would you do to keep them safe? I would definitely recommend this to those that enjoy thrillers.

Another great addition to the #CapeCharadeSeries. The book can be read as a stand-alone, however, for the reader to fully appreciate the depth of the plot motive, it is recommended to catch up on previous storylines as there is an unexpected plot arc. @christinadoddbooks once again delivers a narrative full of mystery & suspense. She has relented Kellen Adam’s character to more emotion in this depiction and portrayed physical limitations that allow the reader to see a different side of her. Illustrating growth in her character as a mother and a wife. While this is in direct contrast to the withdrawn, stoic, soldier that she has represented in the other novels, it gives a much needed reprieve to her character. It is a different play on strength and works well with this clever story line.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #Harlequin for this ARC of #StrangersSheKnows

Love this series - In her latest addition to the Cape Charade series Christina Dodd does not disappoint - a quick paced, action packed romantic thriller! Kellen, Max & Rae are headed to an island off the coast of California, Isla Paraiso, to escape the revenge of a former adversary. Couldn't put it down! Thank you NetGalley.

I loved this book and the rest of the books in the series. This a wonderful romantic suspense story with characters that I love reading about. I hope this is not the end of this series as I would love to watch Rae continue to grow. This book had the perfect ending, it tied up the story lines and gave everyone a happily ever after. But I still want more books in this series
