I very much enjoyed reading this book, there are plenty of twists and turns all the way through. The characters were good, the plot was exciting and suspenseful and the style of writing was perfect. I have read other books by this author and have not been disappointed with any of them. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading psychological thrillers.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.

Not my cup of tea as not into domestic violence, but the book is well written if not a little complex. There are loads of characters to follow. It's another psychological thriller with childhood secrets that impact adulthood.
If it is your type of book, the concluding chapters are exciting and well written

I received a digital arc of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I'm not really sure how to rate this if I'm honest. I was drawn in very quickly and kept turning the pages quickly enough. I thought I'd be 30% through it but actually it was only half that. It is a long book and some parts seem to fly by whilst other parts are slow and I lost interest a little. I did like the way it was all explained and who did what. Some good twists and unexpected events.

Another great read from Emma Curtis! I was gripped throughout and couldn't wait to find out what had happened to Nick. Some really good twists, especially near the end.

This was a great read. A twisty psychological thriller that had me turning the pages. I read it in two days, and was desperate to know the outcome. Recommended.

Tense and intriguing tale of childhood trauma and one man’s seemingly random disappearance. Lots of red herrings along the way make it interesting.

This was the first book of Emma Curtis I've read, and I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the very beginning, and couldn't wait to see where the book will take me. Recommended.

The Night You Left was, for me, a bit of a slow starter but I stuck with it and I am so glad I did. The characters were excellent and the plot, although hidden from sight for the majority of the book, had a gratifyingly logical outcome. Definitely a book which let you see the lifelong repercussions of childhood silliness, spite and jealousy. Nick and Grace come out of it really well but his mother, what a piece of work and his father a dreamy philanderer who doesn't know when to stop. At least Anna, towards the end, managed to come to terms with the consequences of her actions and even made noises of repentence. I was going to give it four stars because of the slow start but the plot was so enthralling it gets a five from me.

I really enjoyed this book. From the start I was hooked, not knowing where I was going to be taken. The characters were well thought out and I could build emotions towards each of them and not always correctly. I really didn’t know what had happened to Nick until the end. This is a book to sit up all night with.

This is one of those books that you cannot put down. A brilliant read, and I highly recommend it. It covers missing persons and the procedures, close friends, difficult relations and belief in your own life and happiness. This is the second book by Emma Curtis that I have read, and this is just as good. 4/5.

Oh my days, what a read.

When reviewing books, I do my best not to include spoilers but also not to just repeat what the blurb says.

Nick and Grace have been together for a long time and with Lottie, Grace's daughter from a different father, they are a happy little unit.

Nick proposes to Grace and although it's a day that she will never forget, it's not necessarily for the right reasons as Nick disappears into thin air.

It doesn't make sense. Why would you propose to a women and then just up and leave her?

The police think he has just left her, but why would he propose then leave? She think she knows him well, but does she?

Told from different points of view this kept me gripped and turning the pages so much that I feared for RSI

And the ending . . . .wow.

This book is fantastic and I couldn't put it down!

Grace and Nick have been together for 7 years. On the night he proposes, he disappears. Grace is sure that something has happened to him and sets out to find answers.

The story flits between the current time and back in 2000 when Nick would been 16 years old. His family along with two others are holidaying together and a tragedy happens. The two stories tie together really well and kept me guessing right til the end.

When Grace’s fiancé vanishes without a trace the night after proposing, her life is turned upside down. But has Nick walked out on her, or is he in danger?

As Grace desperately searches for answers, it soon becomes clear that Nick wasn’t the uncomplicated man she thought she knew. And when she uncovers a hidden tragedy from his childhood, she realises an awful truth: that you can run from your past – but your secrets will always catch up with you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it alternates between the year 2000 and 2018 and it's very clever how all the characters are intertwined.

Read it!

Wow, what a cleverly plotted thriller. It starts of a little slow so bear with it but then it takes off.
The book is told in two time lines- 2000 and 2018. This intriguing story is full of twists and turns, some of which are completely unexpected. Well written with engaging characters. I enjoyed the ending which I didn't see coming.

Fabulous, I highly recommend this fantastic book.
