A+ story with lots of heated scenes. Delilah Peters has written a next door neighbor romance that is hot. Good writing and characters. I liked how the two meet and sparks fly. HEA.

This book comes with its own disclaimer "The Dirty Bits from Carina Press give you what you want, when you want it. Designed to be read in an hour or two, these sex-filled micro romances are guaranteed to pack a punch and deliver a happily-ever-after."

Because of that disclaimer, I went into this story expecting a quick read (which I got), that still managed to have complex characters and an interesting story-line. And while I will one hundred percent say that these characters were likable, I don't feel that they were particularly interesting. We get the run down on what happened to Emma's marriage and can form our own opinions on why it ended, but we don't get the same story as to why Will's marriage ended. All we know is that he's friendly enough with his ex (to the point he kissed her on the mouth in front of Emma before they were involved). I mean if you're going to give us that, I would like to know why.

But regardless, just looking at the relationship between Will and Emma. I wasn't buying it. I understand that as a novella the time line is on hyper drive. I even like that. I like knowing that a week has passed since the last time they spoke. I liked that the author showed that progression of time so we knew just how long these two had known each other. However, even with that this seemed not only rushed, but to come out of the blue. We see Emma as this dedicated single mother (and I am in NO WAY saying single mom's can't be sexy and enjoy sex), however he brings pizza over, hangs out with your kids and you want to.... blow him in your yard? Ummm okay? With your kids inside?

I also didn't care for the way she gives her body to him, and yet the first time things become difficult she runs and avoids him. Not the kind of behavior I would expect from an adult, but whatever.

Overall, I do really like the concept of these stories - Quick romances the end in a happily-ever-after, and I do believe others will as well. I would read more from this author.

These books are not long but there good escape and they really do make it a fun read. I would suggest any I've read so far. This one was a treat because single parents have the hardest time finding someone to fit them and their kids.

This book had pretty colorful characters in it. Emma is a tough nurse whose husband left her, and she must take care of her two kids as well as work one of the toughest jobs as a nurse. Will, her neighbor, has a special needs son and his wife also recently separated from him. I liked their chemistry in general, though I thought they hit it off too quickly and once they did, their romance went from point A to point Z really fast. Of course, it is understood that because this book is meant to be read in one sitting, or as one quick, enjoyable read, I still felt that the pace was a bit too fast.

It goes without saying that this book contains smut. That being said, I felt like they were doing stuff with each other really quickly and at one point, while kids were in the other room! I felt that as a mom, there certainly can’t be times where Emma can be alone. However, she was trying to get it on with Will, who she met only 20 pages previous, and her kids were playing in the other room. I just felt like that scene could have been improved upon.

This book was pretty good, however, in showing how a mature relationship can look like, though by mature I mean that these two already have kids and need to work around that fact. The relationship in itself wasn’t toxic at all and it was burning pretty quickly.

The ending left much to be desired and I felt like a conflict wasn’t resolved as it could have been. Again, I understand that with the genre comes easy plots and only good parts such as smut but a little more work on the plot point could have made this an even better story.

With all of that being said, this book wasn’t all that bad. Again, it had enjoyable characters, interesting points of care and exchange between the two and a nice fantasy from the “hot neighbor next door”.

Will and Emma are both single parents. Emma is content in her life, or so she thought, until Will moves in next door with his son Nick. (On a side note, Nick and Emma's girls, Mags and Lola, are absolutely adorable!) Even though Emma is attracted to Will, she's reluctant to start a relationship because of traumatic events in her past.

I enjoyed this story. I loved watching Emma and Will grow in their relationship. The kids were adorable and gave the story lighthearted moments. And I have to say, it was a lot steamier than I was expecting. Loved that surprise.

Short and steamy, Right Next Door is the perfect afternoon read.

Hot, hot, hot! I couldn't put this sexy book down! There was so much chemistry between Will and Emma. But, it was more than just passion. You could feel the connection on a deeper level. I loved that the author didn't shy away from tough matters (like disability and drug addiction) despite it being a novella length. She brings the heavy and the sexy and mixes it all together beautifully! Can't wait to read more from Delilah Peters!

Right Next Door is a lusty adventure to happily ever after. Though it has some intense subject matter, it is a filthy romp to tantalize its readers.

Everyone deserves a Will in their lives!

Right Next Door by Delilah Peters is the story of Emma and Will.
Emma has to daughters to raise in addition to being a nurse...both seem to be unthinkable jobs. Emma has no time for anything for relationships, besides she been burned before just adds to her not wanting to engage with men. Will is a single father who sees something in Emma besides her harsh attitude. Of curse they end up burning up my kindle pages.
Quick Hot Read.

4 For Starters.. show me your tits Stars
this review is hard to write because this book is so many things.
This is a new author to me and a debut author for 2019 so I did not know what toe xpect going in. However I love Carina Press and I ALWAYS take a chance when I see that publisher. These books are meant to be a hot 1-2 hour read that leaves you warm and tingly all over. I already read a Carina Press neighbor story that oddly began the saem way but the stories are quite different. The show me what you got at the window scene is deff change your panties worthy for what it was.
This book is about two adults living their lives as single parents caring for children and working to make ends meet but its also about two adults remembering that their entire world doesn't exist for their children and they are allowed to be adult.
I would have absolulty loved this book if it was more developed, became longer or even became a series of novella length books. It has too many moving elements to just be wrapped up all neat and tight. But I loved the chemistry between the main characters. I would read this author again

I received this eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was short and sweet. I enjoyed the background story of the characters and how much they had grown from their pasts. The instant attraction was great and the simmering scenes between them were steamy. I'm glad i got a chance to read this.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Right Next Door from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this novel. It was shorter than I expected, but it packed quite a bit of everything into a short amount of time... pages. The depth of characters and their very real struggles made this book authentic and enjoyable. Having children and jobs, yet finding ways to balance it all finding time for oneself--this IS reality. This is an author from whom I would like to read again!

Thank you to NetGalley and Delilah Peters for the ARC!

I loved this book. It was sweet and sexy. Ok, it was scorching hot — the story is sweet.

Single dad, Will and single mom Emma are next door neighbors. They are attracted to each other and their kids are good friends. But there is conflict with Emma’s ex-husband.

Emma has a lot of emotional baggage through trauma while giving birth to her second daughter and the horrific things her obstetrician and husband did to her. She left scarred and insecure and permanent painful sex. Will is great. He loves Emma, everything about her. He finds ways to pleasure her and prove she’s beautiful to him.

This story is everything thing I want in a romance. Heat, humor, some conflict, and a great HEA.

4 Love Thy Neighbor Stars ⭐️

Life is not easy for single mother of two Emma. As a nurse that works night shift she is unimpressed when she is awakened by her hunky, ginger bearded neighbor doing home repairs first thing in the morning.

Their first meeting isn’t exactly the most welcoming. In fact, Emma is just prickly borderline unlikable, but Will sees something more in her.
Emma is reluctant to engage. Past hurts have made her cautious and closed off.
Fortunately, Will could recognize her struggle and was happy pushing her buttons and getting her to lower her defenses.

“And this.....this persistent, chemical reaction I seemed to have to Will didn’t have to mean anything. It could be stress relief. Friends with Benefits.”

Right Next Door was an interesting read and not what I expected, in a good way.
Firstly, this book was deliciously dirty so my pervy little heart was extremely satisfied.
But this story was so much more. What I first believed was a story about a woman with trust issues; was Emma’s journey overcoming personal fear to embrace intimacy again with the right man by her side.
For a short little read, it packed a punch.

“This is the thing about great sex. It doesn’t go smoothly. It’s not perfectly lit. Sometimes there are horrific noises that you-hopefully-laugh about.”

‘Arc’ provided by Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

I loved this story, but I can see why some people might not be so keen. This is a short, quick read. If you're expecting something completely light-hearted and fun, then this is possibly not the read that you are looking for. That's not to say that it's incredibly dark or hard going, but there are topics touched on here that won't be for everyone. The heroine has issues with intimacy after a traumatic birth and subsequent related injury. It also deals with the realities of juggling being a single parent (in some ways, any parent) with having a life, particularly a sex life. For people who are looking for something that is solely escapism, then this may not fit the bill.
I actually really enjoyed the realistic side of this story. Just because sex is sometimes awkward or less than glamorous, it doesn't mean that it is not a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed the romance and relationship between Emma and Will, it felt true to life, but still exciting and interesting. Will, in particular, was great. I always like a caring and thoughtful hero, but for someone like Emma, with all of the baggage that she has, he fits even better. Overall this was a good quick read, that I just didn't want to put down.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
