This book is a sequel, and, having not read the first book, i was missing information. Regardless, a decent sci-fi read.

This sounded like it would be right up my alley. Aliens! Super powers! Conspiracies! Battles! Perfect!
Turns out, no. DNF at 20%, I'm afraid. Too much telling, not enough showing, and far too simplistic for the age group it's aimed at. It's a shame because there's a good story idea, but it needs a lot of work.
