Holy crap! HOLY. CRAP. What in hell did I just read?! Because it was fantastic!! This book follows Camilla, a woman who gets into an accident with her husband while driving drunk. She survived with various cuts, scrapes, bruises and broken bones; he wasn't so lucky. Months later she's basically a shut-in. Her only contact with the outside world is her sister Hannah and social media. There's one account she follows religiously: a girl she went to school with, Valerie. But soon after the story starts, Valerie winds up in trouble and in rides Camilla to save the day.

I really liked this story. I read it in one greedy gulp in a matter of hours. Every time I thought I had the story pinned, in came a plot twist to rock me in another direction. By the time the book was over I had been shocked silly several times. The writing itself was so smooth and drew me right in. If you like psychological thrillers with killer twists, do yourself a favor and grab this book as soon as you can!

Like, Follow, Kill is a book I thought I'd love. It's about this woman, Camilla, who was in a car accident with her husband, Chris, while drunk driving. She came out of the accident scarred, her face quite disfigured, yet still somehow, she got the better end of the stick than her husband, who died in the accident. Camilla locks herself up in her house and turns to social media for any kind of entertainment. She follows her school acquaintance, Valerie, very closely, developing an obsession for her perfect, glamorous life. And then Valerie goes missing...

I think anyone who enjoys thrillers would be hooked after that synopsis. Unfortunately, the story didn't turn out to what I wanted it to be. The bones of it were great, the ideas solid. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll be very vague about my thoughts. I thought the main character was well done, but apart from one mention at the start, there is nothing that explains the person she is and why she is like that.

The book was suspenceful and fast paced. The first person narrative was a good choice of a narrative - it gave a glimpse into the main character's mind. I think I would rate this book 3.75 stars if not the ending. I like being shocked, but what I like more is when I can go back and trace all the signs back to the big reveal. The ending was full of plot twists, but the bad kind. The ones that are there clearly for the shock value, and don't add up. I think, maybe, I would've enjoyed the book even with those if not the last 2 pages, but sadly, those completely ruined the book for me.

Not sure where to start with this book, it was fairly bonkers!

The story line definitely had me guessing as I had no idea where it was going!

Camilla hasn't ventured outside since the car she was driving was in an accident that killed her husband.

She has become obsessed with the on line life of an old school friend, Valerie. Her life seems idyllic.Then Valerie goes missing and Camilla knows she is the only one who can track her down...so far, so sane! Then it takes on a life of its own and you just have no idea where its headed!

What did I just read? That was nuts. It takes a while to get used to the writing style which is all over the place, just like the main characters brain. It is a really quick, fast paced read and will have you sucked in pretty quickly. As the story continues it does start to get a bit over the top and unbelievable which is where it lost me. It was a great plot, but I was hoping for more.

Camilla starts to notice a man in all of her videos and begins to think she has a stalker. And then Valerie goes missing.

I did not see the ending coming! Like, Follow, Kill is a taut thriller with a cast of well developed, unlikeable characters. Twists and turns drive a fast paced novel. Great for fans of Gone Girl!

Since killing her husband in a drunk driving accident and mangling her own face, Camilla has been staying in her house and talking to no one. Her only connection to the world is her old classmate Valerie's social media posts, which are starting to indicate that her perfect friend may be in imminent danger, and it seems like Camilla may be the only one who can save her.
This book was a quick and fast-paced read and involved a hot librarian, but the ending was pretty ridiculous.

Woah - that is not what I expected!
As I read through the story, I totally saw this going one way, even as the twist was happening, I kept telling myself that it wasn't going to go like this and WHAM!
The characters in this story are amazing and real. I absolutely felt for Camilla and what she went through. The story will definitely keep you second guessing everything you thought you knew.

Wow what a ride this book was!! You had two psycho women in this thriller that messed with each other's minds! It definitely makes you wonder about the people that follow you on Instagram!! Are they really your friend? Or do they have ulterior motives?

Great idea, poor execution. Honestly, I couldn’t finish this. The writing style was distracting. The constant ellipses seemed to be a cop out. I shouldn’t have been bored while reading it. The characters were flat and not very interesting. Maybe after a few revisions it’ll be better.

This is an entertaining fast paced psychological mystery.

Camilla's life forever changed when she lost her husband, baby, and her face badly scarred in a horrible accident that was perhaps her fault.
Retreating into her home, she lives her life online where she grew an obsession with a former classmate's seemingly picture perfect life on Instagram.

Then Camilla became convinced that her friend is in trouble and sets on a mission to save her.
This is an entertaining and sometimes suspenseful story about madness and obsession told through the mind of an unreliable but tragic narrator.

My only criticism is that towards the end things got really rushed up without proper build up and certain elements felt too far fetched, but I overlooked that because I was already invested in the story and wanted to know how such story would end.

3.5***** rounded up to 4 because the book entertained me for a few hours.

This story was crazy and a little too far fetched at times but I completely devoured it. Told by a really unreliable narrator Camilla who has been badly affected by a serious accident a year previous. Camilla is a little disturbed and crazy, but she’s lovable and honest and suffering. There were parts in this I gasped and held my breath. It was hugely suspenseful. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. The tag line got this book is spot on ‘Trust no one’.

Camilla has lost her husband and her face and body have been scarred in a terrible accident that perhaps she was to blame for. Ever since this happened she has been holed up at home, basically living her life online, but not really living at all, just following the life of a girl she went to highschool with. She ends up thinking this girl is in trouble and the extent she will go to in order to help her is just crazy.

I couldn't relate to Camilla at all and hope that should I ever be so unfortunate to experience a similar life altering accident, that I would tackle it differently and continue living some kind of life.

The first 80% of the book was okay... not great but a good enough read and then suddenly everything got rushed and a million things started happening, most of which were really far out. This made me drop a star from the rating of this book. I didn't really believe the new added twists and how Camilla changed from a meek little mouse to a crazy person.

You will be sucked into this book from page one! It’s definitely a read in one sitting story.
The generation of social media is under the microscope and this story explores the dark side of online relationships. It’s fast paced, original and very dark!
The only reason for not giving five stars was the ending. Although I enjoyed the rather poetic final pages it still came across a little ( just a little) far fetched and rushed.

I really liked the cover. It is very appealing designed. The writing style is pleasant and very fluently to read. The characters are very well described and look well thought out and consistently interesting. The tension is always present. The descriptions of surroundings, feelings and scenes were also very good. The story is told pleasant and it succeeds from the first pages to dive directly into the story. The storyline as a whole is very coherent and it seems very understandable and authentic. A very fascinating story that you won't like to stop reading.

Like, Follow, Kill by author Carissa Ann Lynch is a gripping social media experience thriller! Sadly could be something very real, but as it’s a work of fiction here, it makes for a GREAT thriller! Loved it very much, fast paced and unexpected!

Like, Follow, Kill is dark, twisted and just goes for the wild and weird. This was my first read by Carissa Ann Lynch.

The premise reminded me a bit of the Woman in the Window (unreliable female narrator, tragic accident, addiction, acrophobia...)

I liked the use of social media and how the book explored the way online obsession can turn deadly and how people's obsession with fame can take them on dangerous paths. As "out there" as Camilla's feelings for Valerie may have seemed, it really isn't too far fetched in this day and age (minus the murder, hopefully). It's a quick read and will keep you interested, but the ending did not deliver for me and felt messy and all over the place (and not in a good way).

Camilla has been involved in a car accident in which her husband was decapitated and left her badly scarred and emotionally and physically traumatised. Conscious of her appearance she is wary of leaving her home and in her loneliness and isolation she resorts to following a former classmate of hers on her Instagram page. Valerie is living the life; glamourous, exciting, beautiful. She shuns her sister’s attempts to engage with her and lives her life through Valerie’s social media until one day she makes a discovery. Valeria has a stalker – and she calls out for help and Camilla despite her fear of the outside world determines to rescue her.

What follows is a somewhat tense thriller in which Camilla is confronted with some worrying encounters that left me unsure as to whether she was paranoid, or imagining the events. Some of her decisions were clearly unbalanced at worst, foolish at best. I enjoyed the book for the most part although I did find the various twists and turns towards the end of the book somewhat of a stretch of the imagination, but nevertheless well worth a read.

I'll admit, sometimes it takes me awhile to read through a book and review it based on my honest opinion due to my demanding job as a nurse.....but let me be the one to say, GO GET THIS BOOK!!!! This one was a definite page turner for me. The characters were developed perfectly and the plot just got more twisted page after page! This is my first read by Carissa Ann Lynch but most definitely won't be my last! LOVE how this thriller and suspense book flowed so well and the jolt of shock at the ending grabbed me by the throat until the very last word! Amazing read and I cannot wait until her new book; One Night Stand coming in 2020 comes out!!! Wow this book is a totally messed up and twisted read of obsession and at times i had no clue who was the crazy person in the whole story. The way it’s written adds to the claustrophobic feeling of the story which suits the style of the story. I loved the story and couldn’t put it down and was shocked with the ending.

After hearing of this book from a fellow blogger ( Dita take a bow) I thought what the hell I don't have enough cray cray in my life. This book is a cup full of cray and then some. Dark, twisted, weird.

What happens when you spend too much time on social media and not enough time interacting with humans? Hmm well perhaps we should take a look. Camilla Brown has not had an easy year. She is coping with a horrific car accident that claimed her husband's life and left her with some serious injuries- inside and out. Throw in dealing with addictions, little family support and lack of self esteem. She turns to the almighty internet and allows her life to be lived through the lives of others.

Camilla's main person she likes to stalk, I mean follow, is a classmate from high school named Valerie. Her and Val are BFF's (even though Valerie doesn't know it). As Camilla becomes more and more immersed in Val's life she watches Val disappear after a worrisome live feed. Was Val abducted? This may indeed push Camilla over the edge.

Holy talking decapitated heads- this is one fast, crazy read. I enjoyed taking this crazy train along with Camilla and seeing what she would do next. I can't say much more as it is just too hard to explain. Plus I don't want to spoil it for you!
