Thought-provoking, Eye for Eye is book 1 of The Tailon Series.

This is the type of book that I would name, endless tragedy! It wasn't a sit on the edge of your bed, with the lights on. It is more of a " Would I do that, could I do that"? A moralistic tale! I will not give spoilers; I will tell you a truly heartbreaking story. My brother in law was the nicest young man you would ever meet. I was four years younger and adored him; he and my sister had a two-year-old little boy. He was on his way to College, right after dropping off my nephew. A drunk driver ran him off the road; they said he died instantly. There were questions I never asked myself; I did not want to know the answers. The drunk driver's father was good friends with a crooked Governor, up for his fourth term! He would serve two, stay in politics, serve two more, extremely crooked state, as was the State Attorney General! My brother in law was not the first or last person killed by this jerk! When the funeral was over, I started taking care of my nephew, my sister did not trust him with anyone but me. She was in her own toward spiral, staying with her Mother in law. I took the baby every day when I should have been in College. The short part of the story is, so many people knew him, loved him, wanted to do something; what they did, his father, his brothers, our family, loads of friends took out ads in the State during Election time, the whole thing was on two page ads all over the state, including pictures of what he looked like, immediately after the wreck! These pictures came from the State Police Officer who got to the scene first! He knew my sweet, good, upstanding football player, husband, loved friend, brother, and son. Their strategy worked! The crooked Governor was voted out of office, the Attorney General was voted out of office, the next wreck this jerk was in, no one was killed this time; the Judge put him behind bars for life.
Now, could I do what happens in this book? No, I never looked at one picture in the paper, I wanted to remember him as he was, and is! So, to me, this book has murders, gritty stuff, as far I was concerned, my beloved brother in law was murdered! It is called vehicular manslaughter! It is still murder!
I recommend! Thanks Netgalley!

This is a fast paced and interesting book which really made me think as I was reading it what i would do in that situation. The mark of a good book is making the reader really think about what they would do and this accomplishes that!
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a thriller with a bit of a twist. I loved it.

What?!? You can't end it like that! I want more! Can't wait to read the next book.

Eye for Eye is a How to Get Away with Murder guide. This book was brilliantly written with well-developed characters. It had an original plot with lots of suspense and twists. And a jaw-dropping ending no one would have guessed. Even the narrator was a suspense.

Highly recommended!

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read a copy of Eye For Eye.

This is a tough one for me to review. Did I enjoy the story? Yes, but I found myself skipping over some of the pages because I felt they didn't really aid in the story line. I did enjoy the way the book was written. There wasn't a whole lot of suspense but it did keep me reading to see what happened in the end.

Where do I start? Wow - this book has such an in-depth and detailed storyline that its hard to begin to explain - not in a bad or do not bother way - but in a way that shows great research has gone into it.JK Franko either clearly has spent a lot of time boating in Florida, or he has used his time and energy researching everything to do with boating, tides, and depths of the Florida Straits. And boy, does it pay off - it's fast-paced and pulls on the emotional heartstrings, anyone with children can with how the parents are feeling and that justice and or revenge would clearly always be in the back of their minds.

The plotline is magnificent such attention to detail and twists can only come from someone who has experience of law (which we know JK Franko does) and also the knowledge of how to get around it. The chapters jump between the lives of the main characters - Roy, Susie, Deb, Tom, Joe, and the detectives investigating, then a third person - who holds the key to all the information gathered during the book.

Deb & Susie met at summer camp and its great until Joan Dias is found, dead. Its decided it was a tragic accident. But the girls are taken home by their parents, they keep in touch by letter and met up over the years to come. Sometimes by accident, sometimes not.

Their friendship is tested when Susie's daughter Camilla, is killed in a tragic car crash, from a negligent driver. Susie is trying to come to terms with Camilla's death by doing advocacy work, but she doesn't feel its enough. She wants more. Mysteriously, the driver dies too, despite his earlier prognosis.

Deb and Tom Wise's daughter Kristy was raped, by the Senators son, Joe Harlan Jnr. He goes missing - his body is never found, but there's proof that shows he's dead. Who killed him though. Well, that's Detective Garza's job to figure it all out and he does it well.

Nothing is ever proven but the Police know these four are involved.

Without giving more information or too many spoilers - which I don't want to do, I can't say much more - other than this is a must for anyone who enjoys crime/thriller and the thrill of the chase. This is real detective stuff, if you can piece this together, wow - you're good! This is a trilogy of books, Eye for Eye is Book 1 of three - Tooth for Tooth is out Halloween 2019 and then life for life follows in 2020. JK Franko is one to watch and hot property as this is a great debut novel.
