This was a great romance. Jenna and maureen set out to find love. Jenna meets an orthopedic surgeon and maureen a construction worker. Jenna is uncertain how she feels about Rowan because her ex is also a surgeon who cheated on her. You will enjoy reading this book I don't want to spoil it

Wow!! A heart warming story of two best friends move into the next chapter of their lives. Jenna and Maureen have been BFF, both of their marriages ended in divorce years ago and raising their children on their own. Now Jenna is an empty nester and the next chapter in her life begins. Learning to live on her own and dating again. Maureen too is facing a new boyfriend.

This book grabbed me from the beginning and did not let go until the end, plus I wanted more. Wonderful characters that I feel that many can relate too. Plenty of romance and family dynamics that will keep you engaged. I highly recommend this book.

What a sweet tale of adulthood, friendship, and love! Debbie Macomber has a fresh writing style that you just want to sweep up into a hug. Each of her books has this cozy familiar feeling and that was definitely displayed in this book as well. This book will absolutely give you a roller coaster of emotions but does have a very satisfying end. I can't recommend picking this one up enough!

Debbie Macomber is best known for her feel good, light and cozy books. Window on the Bay, a story of a beautiful friendship between two women, was just that. Set in picturesque Seattle, it’s an easy to follow story and one that leaves the reader feeling warm and satisfied at the end. So much to love in Window on the Bay by Debbie Macomber! The author has delivered another fabulous tale to keep the reader engrossed from beginning to end with interesting characters, dry wit and a romance to warm your heart. If you're looking for a feel-good read, seriously look no further!

Best friends Jenna and Maureen are at a crossroad in the relationship department. Jenna is now an empty nester now that her daughter has started attending college. Maureen is a librarian who has been recommending books to Logan, who is a construction who has become a frequent visitor to the library. Jenna is an intensive-care nurse who has raised her two children on her own after a messy divorce from her surgeon husband.

The best friends are enjoying their independence and are trying finally plan the trip to Paris that they’ve been dreaming of since their college days.

When Jenna’s elderly mother breaks her hip she meets Dr. Rowan Lancaster after he performs surgery on her mother. The silent, stoic Rowan finds himself attracted to Jenna. And even though Jenna is hesitant about becoming involved with another surgeon, she has to admit that she’s more than a little intrigued.

Jenna and Maureen both learn lessons in going outside their comfort zone and taking a chance on love.

It's always fun to pick up a Debbie Macomber book because you know that's it's going to be an easy read with a happily ever after ending. Though this book tackled some problems that you don't see in normal romance novels, it was still a satisfying read.

Jenna and Maureen became friends in college and planned to visit Paris after they graduated. The trip never happened because Maureen got pregnant and married. Jenna also married her boyfriend and had two children. After only a few years, he decided that he didn't want to be married and after their divorce, he had very little contact with his children. As the book begins, we find out that they are both empty nesters who are unsure of how to live their lives without children. One of their first decisions is to plan their Paris trip again. As their lives continue to change, they both decide to try dating again and run into complications. Maureen starts to date a construction worker who visits the library frequently and Jenna starts to date the doctor who took care of her mother. Neither one of the women know if they can learn to trust men again or if they will get their happily ever after.

This was a light fun read. I didn't enjoy it as much as other books by this author because I didn't like several of the characters. I thought that Jenna was way too controlling with her children - she said they she was glad that they were grown up but felt like she had to control every aspect of their lives. I also didn't like Logan, the construction that Maureen dated. He didn't seem very willing to make changes in his life to make her happy.

Will Jenna and Maureen be able to relax and enjoy the changes that are happening in their lives? Will they get their happily ever after? It's time to read this book and find out.

I love Debbie Macomber books and so do my patrons at the library. Window on the bay was just the book that I needed right now. It is a sweet uplifting story about middle age women. I really enjoyed this book.

There are few authors who can tug at your heart strings like Debbie Macomber. Her writing to me is like no other. She pulls you in from the get go and doesn’t let go. Maybe because her characters, since I started reading her, have paralleled my own life at the time.
Jenna was a great character that I enjoyed reading very much. I felt her heart and the passion she still had inside. It just needed the right man to draw it out.

Jenna and Maureen have been the best of friends for years. After watching Casablanca, the two girls discover a love for France and make plans to go after college. However, their plans must be put on hold.

Jenna, a nurse in an ICU, becomes an empty nester when her daughter goes to college. She has been divorced for nearly twenty years and is excited to see what the next part of her life entails. That is, until her mother falls and breaks her hip. The orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Rowan, captures her eyes. The problem is that he is a surgeon (as was the ex), and he works in the same hospital.

Maureen, a librarian, leads a very simple life. Also divorced, she hasn't been interested in the dating scene until Logan, a plumber working on a local construction job, begins to visit her at the library. Maureen finds herself a "green-light", but are their differences too much?

This story was a great read. I have always loved reading books by Debbie Macomber, and this one was no different. It was engaging and provided enough conflict to keep the pages turning. I would give this book five stars.

The importance of friendships and allowing yourself to love (even when you do not expect it) is the common themes I found in this newest novel by Debbie Macomber. Her stories always bring faith, warmth, and hope to her readers and Window on the Bay does not disappoint! I love the fact that even with all the craziness that life has given to the two main characters, Jenna and Maureen, have never lost each other or given up on their dreams.

I absolutely love books by Debbie Macomber! Her books never disappoint and this one is no exception. This is a story about two women who meet in college and form a lifelong friendship. Maureen and Jenna have a planned trip to Paris in the spring, but life gets in the way. Both women are empty nesters and both have long been divorced. Neither woman has yet to find the right guy. Now, twenty years after the first planned trip to Paris, they have another trip planned to go. Also, there are new romances on the horizon. I also completely enjoyed the epilogue! This is a wonderful story and I highly recommend to anyone!

This is a sweet story of heartache, friendship, and love .

Debbie Macomber's novels never fail to entertain, entice emotions, and stay will me long after I've closed the pages. This novel was no exception. Love, and life, and life-long friendships. And of course the promise of Paris

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Window on the Bay was the light hearted read that I needed after some heavy books. Macomber has a knack for writing books that are easy to pick up and hard to put down. In this story we follow the lives of two women, best friends, who are both divorced and have spent their lives taking care of their families. They both meet men who change their worlds and rely on one another for the ups and downs of these new relationships. I gave it only three stars because while it was a quick read, there wasn’t a lot of character development or plot development in this one.

I have always enjoyed this author’s books and this latest one didn’t disappoint. Loved the plot and the characters. Nice to read a romance with older characters. I definitely recommend this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my digital arc. This is my unbiased review.

The more I read, the more I wanted to read. How close to home does this story come to you or someone you know? Real life things are happening here and written in a way that just keeps you reading. Love the relationships in this story. Some are great, some not so much. But it’s a good story the way they are all weaved together. These characters are some that could be your best friend, your neighbor, or your ex. Loved the characters and the situations they had to go through to become who they are. Window on the Bay is the latest novel by prolific women’s fiction author Debbie Macomber. Set in Seattle, this is a story of friendship, family, and finding one’s future. Jenna and Maureen have been best friends since college. They have seen each other through marriage, motherhood, divorce, and single parenting. Now they are both navigating empty nests and are finding their ways once again.

Although they have each dated over the many years since their divorces, they have both been reticent, employing what they called their stoplight system. Most dates have been bright red, a rare few have been yellow, but no one had been green. They each have high standards and deal breakers. Jenna, an ICU RN, swore she would never date a doctor, especially a surgeon like her cheating ex. Very conservative librarian Maureen always felt she would be happiest with someone like a college professor. They were both so very wrong!

The story unfolds as both ladies deal with grown children. It takes another turn when the added issue of dealing with an aging parent with a life threatening injury. How they each navigate dealing with their own issues, loneliness, and desires is the backbone of this heartwarming tale.

This is a lovely story that explores the paths for two single forty something friends in a very frank yet kind manner. The characters are endearing and the issues are real. This was a very good book and I do recommend it!
