Quinn is a professional football player who was out of the league for two years while he battled an alcohol addiction. He hasn’t returned to the game with a new team. There is just one complication. His new team has gotten into bed with a reporter who was Quinn’s college sweetheart. Only, she broke his heart and later wrote a scathing article about him that caused him to be fired from his old team. The thing is they are both still hot for each other and maybe even still in love. Can two people with a lot of baggage, both individually and separately, make a relationship work?

This is the third book in a series about the Milwaukee Dragons football team. I look forward to the next book!

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Quinn Lowry and Natalie Griffith were college sweethearts. Before graduation, and Quinn’s draft in the NFL, Natalie left in the middle of the night and broke up with him via email. Five years later, Natalie is the Sports reporter who wrote an expose about Quinn’s off the field problems that halted his career. Quinn is now two years sober and trying to resurrect his career with the Milwaukee Dragons. Of course Natalie is a reporter that is covering them, and is shadowing his roommate. This is a classic enemies to lovers/second chance sports romance. I really liked Quinn and his realistic struggles with his sobriety. Natalie did drive me a bit crazy, her occupation is all about communication, but she had problems with communicating in her personal life. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend this series.

Natalie can get easily distracted, “then let’s get this car of yours running and I can follow you there.” His footsteps echoed as he headed for his own car to run its power into her engine. Car. Right. They hadn’t finished taking care of that..." And it's totally okay, Quinn is often quite distracted easily as well, "...he watched her with scorching eyes, her skin tingling everywhere he looked. “Okay, another forty-five minutes? Booker can hold it.” I liked this book, I loved Quinn.

This is the third book in the Milwaukee dragons series, this is Natalie and Quinn’s book, Natalie is a beat reporter for the dragons football league, three years ago she wrote an expose on her ex-boyfriend Quinn and she feels guilty about destroying his career although everything he did was his own doing. Quinn is back and has a second chance in the NFL he’s now sober and working his butt off to not blow his second chance even if the woman who broke his heart is still around he’s not going to blow this chance! They both decide that maybe one final night together will give them both the much-needed closure but Natalie’s boss wants another expose on Quinn! I’ve read this whole series the first book was unbelievably awesome the second book was OK but this book ,I don’t know I just could not get into it it was OK it was well worth reading but It was definitely not my favorite I suggest reading this series and you’ll probably like this book too but it wasn’t anywhere close to the first book. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Natalie and Quinn's story. If you like football romances you will probably like this one. I struggled a bit with this in the beginning, as it doesn't show Natalie in a good light. She left Quinn years ago, then wrote a article that did a lot of damage to his career. Now he is playing ball in her town, where she is a sports reporter, and they butt heads a lot. Naturally, that means hot sex is coming. I would recommend this book, but it is easy to put down and come back to later.
