The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella is the second installment in the Cinderella Seductions. This story was truly a Cinderella story with the wicked stepmother and step sisters. Tabitha was thrown out of her home when she turned 18 years old with no money no nothing and she had no family on her mother’s side nor on her father’s side. She ended up working in hotels in order to survive. Now she worked at a 5-star hotel and there she found her fairy godmother and, in the ball, she found her prince charming. Giannis was dazzled with a princess and he did not let go of her in all night. He had his own history where the woman that he loved had lied to him about everything now he had a list of what he looked for in a potential wife. I loved how the author took snippets of the Cinderella story especially when she left her earring in his bed instead of the glass slipper. When Tabitha was first introduced, she was this shy young woman that didn’t have a backbone but, in the end, she was able to finally fight for what was hers. Giannis needed to see that Tabitha was nothing like his ex-wife that Tabitha might has omitted some things but she was a strong woman that had a bad dealing in life. I totally enjoyed this story and I can’t wait to read the first book in this series.

The Greek's Pregnant Cinderella was a quick but enjoyable read. Built around the angle of an unexpected baby it delivers a story about secrets and pain from the past affecting our future lives and a developing love story between two people.

Tabitha and Giannis story hits all sorts of notes, which compelled me to read on and root for a winning romance between the two. Tabitha hasn't had an easy life, dealing with a painful past and trying her best to live as she can, she never expects that a one night gift will lead to such a crazy future, and yet that's exactly what happens. But Tabitha knows one thing - she won't settle for anything less than love for herself and her baby.

Giannis has been through his own struggles and working through the painful memories of his past. When Tabitha unexpectedly pulls him in - he's lost in a way. But Giannis has to figure out how to proceed with their future or risk losing it all.

I loved how the author wove their painful pasts into this story and it showed how much their choices were impacted by the past.

I love Harlequin and Michelle Smart is becoming a fast favorite to grab up.

This story couldn't get any more Cinderella unless we managed to turn mice and pumpkins.
It had an evil step mother, 2 evil step sisters, even a fairy godmother in essence and a greek billionaire which served as a for of prince even if he drove me crazy in moments. As well as a masquerade ball. Giannis has trust issues from a previous relationship, but made up for it by showing a softer side that learned to grovel . The leading lady hit the feels with all she has been through and I enjoyed the insta- chemistry between her and the greek .

If you love Cinderella then you will love this modern day re-telling of it. Fast easy read with an HEA

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I enjoy Harelequins because you know it will be a HEA. This is a sad but fun book and a quick read. Tabitha once rich is now a make and works hard. Gifted a ticket to a ball. Meets Giannis who has issues as everyone does. Pregnant , amazing chemistry and bam a story! No surprise how it ends but getting there was fun. 3.5 stars a great quick read for a lazy summer day.

Michelle Smart beautifully parallels the Cinderella fairy tale in the second volume of the Cinderella Seductions series, The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella. Tabitha Brigstock toils in Vienna’s Basinas Palace Hotel as a cleaner after her evil stepmother and beloved father’s widow, seizes control of her wealth and property and kicks her out of the Oxfordshire family home. Tabitha’s fairy godmother comes in the form of a wealthy elderly Basinas Palace Hotel denizen, Amelia Coulter. In appreciation of Tabitha’s care and company when Amelia was ill, she gifts Tabitha with a Basinas-hosted 40 000-euro Viennese ball ticket, and a dress and shoes fit for a princess. Widower and billionaire Giannis Basinas takes one look at Tabitha (he insists on describing her as “exquisite,” which annoyed me to no end; I have a feral spinster antipathy for the word) and is enchanted. They dance, drink champagne, and share a passionate night. In the morning, while Giannis makes coffee to share with Tabitha, she sneaks away. Giannis is angry and hurt, but in the weeks ahead, can’t get Tabitha out of his mind.

Giannis is furious when Tabitha appears in his hotel office weeks later, in the uniform of one of his cleaning staff, to inform him she’s pregnant. He is cold and ragey, but pulls the a-child-needs-two-parents-we will-marry-for-the-child’s-sake routine, all the while side-eying Tabitha and cutting off any affection or companionship they might share. Because she is duplicitous and not to be trusted. They travel to his Santorini home to marry. Thankfully, Giannis is never a chest-thumping he-man, nor cruel, or cutting. He remains aloof, but polite and, eventually, there are glimmers of affection and compatibility between them. Tabitha, in turn, is honest and caring, doesn’t let herself be a doormat, and takes joy in the beauty, rest, and care she experiences. Giannis has a lovely, boisterous Greek family, loving, protective, humorously nosy, thanks to four overwhelming sisters, and makes for a lovely contrast to the usual abandoned-child HP hero issues.

Unfortunately, Smart builds her conflict around Giannis’s (mis)trust issues. Giannis’s wife, RIP Anastasia, has so many sins heaped on her she makes the proverbial scapegoat look like he’s lounging on a chaise longue, catered to by fanning servants and others who peel his grapes. Anastasia, says Giannias, was a gold-digger and freeloader (unlike the ever-toiling Tabitha); she was a liar and adulteress. Thankfully, she and unborn baby, which was NOT Giannis’s, were conveniently taken out by a car accident. Poor Giannis carries the scars of mistrust. Other than that, he’s a pretty nice guy and Tabitha, droll, beautiful, honest Tabitha, falls in love with him. He is caring, affectionate, and fun to be with, but there’s a part of him that remains aloof. Tabitha won’t stand for this and … badness ensues.

I wish there was more to their differences than the evil Anastasia. What kept me reading was Giannis and Tabitha’s exchanges. Smart can write mean dialogue and great banter; her heroes taking on snooty Victorian tones and diction, while her heroines go for bathos and flat colloquialisms; one such moment from Pregnant Cinderella, after Tabitha has announced her pregnancy to Giannis:

” … but you would have to be the most audacious of fools to try and pretend something so easily disproved.”

“And you would have to be the most audacious of arrogant twonks to think I would let you decide anything on my behalf!”

Definitely, Tabitha 1 (who can resist “twonks”?); Giannis, like the inarticulate, awkward Darcy, 0. It’s moments like this and a lovely, grovelly HEA that held my interest and will see me return to Smart’s HPs. With Miss Austen, we find The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella offers “real comfort,” Emma.

Michelle Smart’s The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella is published by Harlequin Books. It was released on June 18 and may be found at your preferred vendor. I received an e-ARC from Harlequin Books, via Netgalley.

Cute romance story of riches to rags Cinderella that gets to go back to riches after a night in the arms of her employer.

I liked that this overlapped another "Cinderella" book I read recently through Harlequin.

The characters overlapped well without directly interacting and the conflict build is steady. The conclusion was expected but the way it unfolded was done beautifully.

Steamy, emotional and compelling, The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella is a wonderfully intense and highly satisfying contemporary romance from Michelle Smart.

Chambermaid Tabitha’s life is one of back-breaking work and hard graft, but she always has time to lend a sympathetic ear and a helping hand. Although she now earns a living working in a luxury hotel cleaning for the rich and famous, Tabitha had herself once enjoyed all the privileges of wealth, until her father’s death had seen her evil stepmother cruelly throw her out of the family home and having to earn her own living. When out of the goodness of her heart she drops in and starts caring for an elderly hotel guest who falls ill, she is surprised when as a thank you, she is gifted a ticket to an elite charity ball hosted by Greek tycoon Giannis Basinas. However, little does Tabitha realize that her life is about to be changed…forever!

Giannis is enchanted from the very beginning by a beautiful woman who awakens feelings deep within him he hasn’t felt in a long time. No sooner does he waltz around the ballroom with her that every single woman in the room pales into insignificance. The attraction between him and Tabitha is absolutely electric and when giving into temptation proves inevitable, Giannis and Tabitha find themselves spending an unforgettable night together.

In the cold light of day, Tabitha sneaks out of the window and begins to make her way back to the staff quarters and to her old life. However, she hadn’t counted on finding herself carrying the Greek tycoon’s baby! It looks like she will have more than just memories to remember that unforgettable night and as she and Giannis find themselves thrust into close proximity again, will they end up picking up where they left off? Or will the obstacles standing in their way end up tearing them apart?

Michelle Smart’s latest sizzling page-turner puts a modern day spin on the Cinderella story and will sweep readers away to a world of glamour, high stakes emotion and red-hot romance. Giannis and Tabitha are two fabulously drawn characters and their love story is heart-wrenching, intense, uplifting and immensely romantic. Harlequin Presents fans know that they are in good hands when they pick up a Michelle Smart romance and The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella is another surefire winner by this very gifted writer!

This is the second story in the series after A Cinderella to Secure His Heir. Who is Giannis? Who is Tabitha? What do each of them do for a living? Who are Fiona and Saffron? How does Tabitha know them? Who helps Tabitha go to the ball? Who does she go as? What is the deal with Tabitha and where she works? Who is Mrs. Coulter? What happens when Niki goes to visit Giannis and sees Tabitha there? This book was once again, like the first for me, sweet, fun, a tear-jerker, and made me smile with the HEA. Enjoy the read and see what Tabitha ends up doing with her England interests.

I will admit I'm a sucker for fairy tales, even the modern ones. I felt like I was watching everything unfold, like a beautiful high budget Hollywood film. I'm honestly struggling to find the words to describe how much I enjoyed this. A wonderful update on a story that so many know and love, this book proves that everyone can have a chance at a happy ending.

The Greek's Pregnant Cinderella by Michelle Smart is book Two in the Cinderella Seductions series. This is the story of Giannis and Tabitha. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Giannis has trust issues after her previous wife cheated on him but then she was killed in a accident. Tabitha started life well but then her parents past and her step-mother killed her out when she was around 18. Tabitha became a maid and happen to befriend a older lady who gave her a ticket in a gown to go to a ball. There she meets Giannis they have a hot encounter and Tabitha sneaks out the next day until a month later when she finds that the night was going to have more to come.
Enjoyed their story.

A guest in the hotel where Tabitha works as a maid proves to be her fairy godmother in this delightful romance, enabling this caring young lady to go to the luxurious, expensive ball. She never expected the hotel owner, Giannis Basinas to be captivated by her but this fairy tale romance has Tabitha escaping from his room the next morning to get ready for work again. However, her night of bliss with Giannis means this Cinderella is now pregnant . . . . What should she do now?

This is a lovely, heartwarming romance with well developed characters and a definitely fairytale theme to it. It really is a contemporary reworking of the original story of Cinderella. Tabitha had loving parents but her Mum died and father remarried . . . . and her evil stepmother had two daughters who are older than Tabitha. There are lots of references that link to the original story but enough twists to make it a story in its own right – ideal for when you want an easy, relaxing read!

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.

This is the 2nd book in the Cinderella Seduction’s series, but you can read it as a standalone in my opinion. There are a few references to events that happen in the first book, but Ms. Smart has written this story in such a marvelous way that you don’t really know unless you’ve already read the first one.
Tabitha is a hard worker. She’s had to be. Kicked out by her stepmother on her 18th birthday and not allowed to finish her schooling, Tabitha ends up with a job as a live in housekeeper in a small English Inn. A few years later, she now works for the most expensive, exclusive hotel in Santorini. One owned by Giannis Basinas, a handsome Greek billionaire widow. She’s gifted an exclusive invitation to the masquerade ball being held in the hotel, and even though she knows it’s forbidden, she decides to go.
Giannis has had it rough when it comes to relationships. Even though he’s a widow, his wife had cheated on him during their marriage and only used him for his money, a true gold-digger. He knows it’s time to remarry, but he doesn’t want to put his heart out there again. His family has set this ball up to be a chance for him to find someone suitable for him to marry. To him, that means she has to be independently wealthy among other things. He doesn’t want to be taken advantage of again. Just before the ball starts, he’s bedazzled by a masked beauty and he wants to know more.
Giannis and Tabitha end up spending the night together. Realizing her mistake, Tabitha sneaks out the morning after, hoping that Giannis wouldn’t recognize her in the hotel halls.
That’s all of the story I’m giving away. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait until the next one comes out. Yes, the writing is predictable in spots, but the story line and the characters are written in such a way that you stay sucked into the story until the end. As a matter of fact, I read it all in one sitting.

I just realized I never reviewed this...

It was just okay for me. I didn't realize this would be so much of a psuedo-re-telling of Cinderella...I mean, of course I saw the title, but I just thought it was just that: a title. And, quite frankly, I am not a huge fan of re-tellings. They have been done to death the last few years and, had I known this was one, I wouldn't have requested it from NG. But, as I said, that's my error.

Other than that, I thought this was very...forgettable. The story was very boring and the characters not all that likeable. The heroine annoyed the shit out of me and it's almost like the fact that she came from a rich family was the only reason the hero and his family accepted her.

I am a sucker for the HP guilty pleasure and this just didn't do it for me. In fact, all it did was make me want to go back and re-read some of the similar books of this nature that I already own and enjoyed a whole lot more.

**2.5 Stars**

I was really excited to read my second Michelle Smart Harlequin Presents. I loved The Sicilian's Bought Cinderella last year. Unfortunately, this book didn't have the same flow or depth I found in her previous works.

Tabitha works as a maid at a large resort owned by Giannis. They meet under Cinderella-like circumstances (re: the title) and Tabitha runs away after dawn and realizes she's pregnant. I love this trope. Nothing is more fun than an accidental pregnancy with a billionaire, but both Tabitha and Giannis didn't click for me. The plotting was disjointed and I felt like some parts were over explained and other parts were too glossed over. On top of that, the pacing was completely off.

As a heroine, Tabitha's mood swings made her hard to connect with. I don't think it was her being emotional because of the pregnancy, I just think her characterization was hazy at best. Giannis had potential but I have to patience for man-moping and he annoyed the crap out of me in the last part of the story.

That said, this was a relatively enjoyable way to spend an hour or two. It was a fast read with an HEA and at the end of the day, that's what I really want from a Harlequin Presents novel. I just have higher expectations for Ms. Smart.

Overall, I still love this trope and now all I want to do is travel to Europe to see some of the places visited in this book! I will absolutely try Michelle Smart again in the future.

The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella by Michelle Smart is a retelling of Cinderella with a Greek business tycoon and the woman he never saw coming. Tabitha’s life has not been an easy one. Now working as a maid to make ends meet, she never expected to attend a ball, much less meet her prince charming. After a night of seduction, she will never forget, she realizes she has a surprise coming in nine-months.

Giannis does not need or want another wife; one disastrous marriage was enough. But when his family is wanting more for him, he agrees to the ball. He was a cold and hard man, but Tabitha touched something inside of him. But when she is gone after the ball, he is more intrigued than ever. But when she comes bearing news he never expected he becomes suspicious and cruel. Can he see what he has before it’s too late? A charming and sweet story about second chances and love.

Happy reading!

This is an entertaining book. A modern romance mixed with a heavy dose of fairytale, this is Tabitha and Giannis story. I didn't feel that there were any big surprises her but that did not decrease my enjoyment of this book. Emotional turmoil, drama, sweetness and romance provide a sold base for the likable characters to work with. Giannis has painful emotional baggage, Tabitha was a bit immature and they both had some big trust issues. These things cause quite a bit of tension in their romance.

Michelle Smart is an automatic read for me. Her stories always have just the right amount of conflicted feelings, sexy times, and beautiful HEAs. The Greek's Pregnant Cinderella was another excellent example of her craft.

When a benefactor offers hotel maid Tabitha a ticket to a ball hosted by Greek billionaire Giannis Basinas, she at first turns it down. She hasn't mingled with the uber-rich set since her step-mother cast her out of her home five years ago when she turned 18. However, the lure of the gorgeous dress, and seeing what she's been missing, has her defying her current station. If she's caught, she will lose the best job she's ever had, but it's a risk she's willing to take.

Giannis arrives at his ball expecting to be bored to tears. His family has been dropping hints that it's time for him to remarry, but after the betrayal he experienced in his first marriage, he has no desire to step into that particular trap again. If he's going to marry again, though, he has criteria that must be met and this ball should have plenty of women to choose from. As he walks through the door, descending the stairs is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He introduces himself, gets her first name, then sticks to her the rest of the night. He's so taken with her that he sees no one else.

Tabitha, for her part, is both wildly excited to be with Giannis, yet fearful of being discovered as his lowly employee. When he kisses her, she goes up in flames, and they wind up in his bedroom. She disappears in the morning, and he spends weeks searching for her. When she does turn up, she claims to be carrying his child.

The parallels to the Cinderella story abound in this story, from the evil stepmother and stepsisters, to the fairy godmother, to the ball to Cinderella disappearing in the morning. I liked this one.

I felt like The Greek's Pregnant Cinderella was an OK read. It was missing so much passion and angst. I wanted more from it.

Absolutely does as it says on the tin and, with a strong fairytale presence throughout, Michelle Smart brings us an endearing couple in Tabitha and Giannis as they get to grips with their little surprise.

“Tonight you will be a princess and you will go to the ball.”

Lots of trusted tropes to be found along the way and with plenty of feeling from moments where you heart aches for Tabitha to those romantic gestures which make it sigh happily, The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella ticked the boxes of what I want from a Harlequin romance.

I love fairytales as much as I love Harlequin Presents with the international settings so this book was a treat for me. A quick and fun read that offers the perfect escape from reality for an afternoon. Very enjoyable!
