I read everything Heather Graham wrote years ago - was a huge fan. Then my tastes changed & I wanted less romance & lost touch with this Krewe of Hunters series. When this book was offered I thought I'd give it a chance again. I did always like her writing style, just not a fan n of the "love at first sight" feel of some books.
Im so glad I took a chance with this book! I was engaging & i appreciated her character development again. The mystery isn't too heavy - perfect for a relaxing read (for me - I suppose some might find it more involved).
I didn't find any of the usual cliches, it was just an enjoyable mystery & after reading this one I will consider returning to her books. The romance happened a bit too quickly for my liking, and this wasn't a traditional thriller.

Many thanks to the author, publisher & net gallery for the chance to read it.

I have been reading this series since book one. Number twenty eight does not disappoint. As usual, characters from previous books make appearances but the new additions add a lot to the story. The history in this book is compelling and doesn't overpower the plot. Action packed and fast paced, with mystery, romance, and suspense The Seekers is one of my favorites of the series.

Thank you NetGalley and Mira for the eARC.
This was my second in the Krewe of Hunters series and I decided to give the series another try as Heather Graham is so popular. Unfortunately, my opinion stayed the same: this author is just not for me. I didn't like anything about the book, not the story, not the characters or the writing. Sorry!

Every Krewe book brings with it some similar themes, but each also has its own unique characters and circumstances. While the plot was a bit slow at times, the story was still strong, and the characters were nicely developed all around. Graham is a master at her craft, and this shows in each of her books. Readers of suspense who like a little paranormal and romance mixed in can't miss here.

This book is part of a series but I had no issues with the characters and past things that had happened.
I'm going to go back and catch up on some of the other books. Thanks Netgalley for the Arc

This is my first book in the series, so that may be why I was a little confused at times when they mentioned previous people and places. Overall though, it was fine, and I believe can stand alone. This one has Keri, a historical writer of crimes, being invited to a haunted Inn in Pennsylvania, but the actor Carl and his band of video takers of paranormals. When an FBI agent is found murdered in the basement, the Krewe is brought in, including Joe and Dallas, from previous books. There is a connection between Joe and Keri, and sparks fly. With a satanic cult running around, and ghosts from a murder in the 20s, it all adds up to an exciting story. Hard to put down, and highly recommend this book and author.

I will review this on Amazon July 23. 2019

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review.

I have read several of the Krewe Hunters books. For me this one wasn't one of my favorites of the series. It was well written book, but to me it was slow and I just could never get invested in Carl and Keri.

Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to review this book.

I enjoyed the story, but I have to say that I wasn't blown away. I felt the timeline was rushed, and the characters weren't fully realized. I felt the overall book could have been deeper and richer than it was.

The book is apparently one in a series, but stands alone fairly well. A paranormal group called the Truth Seekers contact a famous actor, Carl, and a historical true crime writer, Keri to investigate an inn with a deadly history in Pennsylvania. When the case turns deadly, and an FBI agent out of New York is found brutally murdered in the inn's basement, the Krewe is called in.

I felt the relationship between Keri and Joe developed far too quickly. In a matter of just a couple of days they go from absolute strangers to involved. I found Carl to be far too young and childish, always scuttling around behind the investigator's coattails. The Truth Seekers also were basically just names until their storyline was needed again in link to the murder.

While I liked the information about the Pennsylvanian hex culture and Amish, the fact of it was there just wasn't enough substance to the book to make it great. It's an easy beach read, but not something I'd seek out for a good thrill.

Keri Wolf has joined the crew of The Seekers, a show that searches for paranormal phenomena, as they explore a supposedly haunted old inn on the road between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. The place is famous for its warm welcome—and infamous for being the site of an ax murder rampage in the 1920s. They’ve barely begun when a very real dead body is discovered in the basement. As a nonfiction author, Keri is supposed to be the rational one, but she can’t explain a terrifying apparition that seems to be both a threat and a warning.

Thank you to net galley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book it was a great experience first time reading anything from this author

Kerri Wolfe is working with The Seekers, a group that explores paranormal phenomenon. Kerri is a non fiction writer who researches and write about old mysteries. They have barely started when a mutilated body is found in the basement of the haunted Inn they are there to research.

This is part of the Krewe Of Hunters series, #28. There is a continuing cast of main characters through the series but this could probably be read as a stand alone. It is a solid addition to the series, with mystery, romance and ghosts. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
