This is Scarlet and Ethan‘s book, Scarlet is struggling to keep her families hotel afloat and when the weekend brings only one guest she sends the staff home to save funds. Ethan is on an undercover research trip to buy Scarlets hotel without using his famous name or his family’s name or their business name! he’s determined to build his own hotel empire to distance himself from his manipulative family! This book was an OK read not my favorite ,worth reading but just didn’t do it for me! thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!!

I received an advanced reader's copy of Captive Hearts (Hearts on Fire Book 2) by L.M. Connolly from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel that I had read by L.M. Connolly, but after reading, this is an author I would look for and read additional novels in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel and I found it to be well written. Even though I am always a little leery jumping into an ongoing series, this novel posed no problems in learning the characters or their existing relationships.

The primary characters' romantic start seemed a little awkward (contrived rather than smooth and natural-seeming), but it improved quickly and the main characters' chemistry was believable. Plus, the steamy scenes were hot, the drama was engrossing, and the plot moved along. It was an enjoyable read!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a short, easy to read romantic story Scarlett and Evan's chemistry explodes off the pages. Even though I the beginning he misleads her to who he really is, I think he redeems himself at the end. Especially after all that happens!!!! Great read would definitely recommend!!

The second book in this series - but it doesn't matter if you haven't read the first.

Scarlett meets Ethan when he is the lone guest staying in her family hotel in London. They have a weekend together and she doesn't know his true identity.
When he returns and she finds out he has bought her hotel she doesn't know how to react to the man she wants to hate but is still attracted to.

Entertaining and fast paced read. Looking forward to the next in this series.
