This is one of my favorite books from Arthur Kleinman. As a medical anthropologist and a physician he provides a unique insight into how providers and just caregivers should act, what to be cognizant of and be all encompassing when addressing provider- family relationships. It’s a book where he shares his own experience being a physician but also being so helpless taking care of his ailing wife. It brings out the humanity and honor of caregiving as well as the struggles to which one experiences.
