This book was an amazing and encouraging book. I highly recommend it! It strengthened my faith.
Nancy and her husband tell their stories and how they can see the hand of God in them. Believers who need encouragement will find this book has much to offer.

You Can Trust God to Write Your Story is the first book written together by the husband and wife team, Nancy and Robert, though each have written several books by themselves. This book has lots of stories of people who have had harrowing life events where God has shown Himself to be faithful. Not every story ends with a happily ever after but that's how life is. Nancy and Robert's own story has a few unique and unexpected twists. The central theme is that God is with us and has good plans even if they don't feel good to us at the time. I recommend this book for anyone who is struggling with where they are in life. The book may not give you the answers but will point you to the One who has the answers.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion.

This was def a book of encouragement, I had read books by Nancy DeMoss before but never by her husband. It was lovely how they wrote it together and how they intertwined the story. I found the book interesting and useful, but at a point when I was struggling to see God writing my story clearly I felt I was slower reading it than I should and maybe set it down a little. I would have kept the flow of it better if I have kept going more consistently. I did at times look back a few pages to check who was it was writing that bit but again that could have just been me, Overall it is a book that is worth reading and a reminder that through all things God can and will write your story, its just sometimes hard to see at the time.

I received an ARC of this book from Moody Publishers via NetGalley, this review is my personal opinion.

Life all do a journey, it has so many twists and turns. We all struggle with fears, some huge, big and maybe it could seem small. All those situations that in our eyes are impossible. How we can really trust God that in the end, it all will turn well?. In this book, Nancy DeMoss Wolmeught and her husband Robert did a wonderful job, by taking characters from the bible, story from their friends and their story of providence. I believe this is the type of book that not everyone should read, but also have at hand and read it when doubt or hard times arrive. They don’t present a perfect story, but they remind us of the love of the One who always knows best and never leaves our side. Since this book, we find several situations to what we all could found hope and encouragement.

Truly grateful for the ARC of this book.

Through their own personal experiences, as well as interviews with others, and examples from the Holy Bible, Robert and Nancy Wogelmoth share inspiring stories that show us that even though sometimes we're unsure of why things are happening the way they are, God is still with us and is ordering our steps in the way he thinks is best and guiding our life's story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Moody Publishing for an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Biblical and Scripture-based teaching and encouragement for women who are struggling with challenges in life that tempt them to doubt the goodness and sovereignty of God. The authors draw from stories in the Bible where people faced great hardships but saw God's good purposes in the end (e.g. Esther, Naomi & Ruth, Joseph, etc.) They also share their own story of how God wove their lives together (Nancy was a single woman for the majority of her life, meeting and marrying Robert late in life). The authors have different chapters addressing different difficult scenarios that readers may be experiencing, such as marriage troubles, unwanted singleness, financial problems, health issues, hurt from other people, prodigal children, broken trust in relationships, loss and death. Each chapter addresses the difficult issue with truth and compassion, pointing the reader back to promises in the Bible and how we all can trust God to write our life stories in a way that will grow our faith in Him, accomplish His good purposes, and bring Him glory.

This book is a good reminder that we are not in charge of what happens to us. There is a greater plan and our story is not over yet. The authors did a great job.

You Can Trust God to Write Your Story

I am reviewing a copy of You Can Trust God to Write Your Story Through Moody Publishers and Netgalley:

In this book the author talks about how situations that seem confusing and chaotic can actually be plot threads God is using to create our story, a wonderful piece of art. That in fact he can use those challenges, those struggles to help us grow.

We are reminded too that our life and our story matters to God.

This book reminds us to trust God to Write our story, but in fact the story God created for us is his story. We are reminded too that he gots our lives and looks at our concerns and anxious fears he reminds us that he has this.

We are reminded too that what we see now is not the whole story that if we could see what God see’s our hearts would be at peace.

This book points out too that everything we see on Earth is not as it seems.

The authors go on to point out that God has given this experience to us. We have come to receive it as a gift from Him, intended us to grow closer to Him…and to give us a ministry to others.

We are reminded too that God’s story is about far more than giving us about far more than just giving us an uneventful joy ride to Heaven. It’s about his Kingdom coming and his will being done on earth in us…as it is in heaven…It is about preparing and fitting us for an eternity.

The author goes on to point out that For every child of God, in every circumstances, the best really is yet to come.

I give You Can Trust God To Write Your Own Story five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

If I am sure of something, it is that I do not write the story, the story of my life. I would have written a very different one, and surely very horrible/disastrous. Thank God that in the midst of my immaturity, stubbornness and sin he has taken the pages and written better ideas than I could have had. I trust in that grace, in that providence and sovereignty on which I can rest, that even in the parts that I do not understand and from which I would like to flee, He has and will always have control.

I read this book in the blink of an eye. I was not very excited about the title, for some comments I heard, I thought that the book would only deal with the Story of Robert and Nancy (because this is the 1st book they write together) but oh! What a surprise I had! that this is not the case ... They wrote a book that covers not only part of their history, but many complicated, unexpected stories, not only stories with a happy ending but many sad ones that will take tears from your eyes. I appreciate books that not only tell "fairy tales" but talk about God's faithfulness even in the madness of a fallen world when nothing goes as we want. I recommend this book to people who are in the eye of the hurricane, who do not understand what is happening, who are disappointed, confused. I think it is a good gift for parents with prodigal children, people with terminal illnesses or any question without answer or explanation. It will not give cheap solutions, or lies, it is a true reminder and hope of the gospel, as is, and a hug to the soul to feel the empathy of people who know what it means to suffer. At least with that, I stay, and I'm grateful for that.
My favorite chapters where obviously: 8, 9, 11 & 16.

I loved this book. This is a such an encouraging message that we need to hear: God is writing our story. The stories that the authors share about their own lives and the others mentioned in this book are testimonies to the Lord’s grace through the happy and tragic things that are part of our life here in earth. We are never alone, and God walks besides each one of us for His glory and our ultimate good.

The authors do a great job switching back and forth in the chapters, and their writing styles complement each other. I’m glad that I have this one to read again when I need encouragement for daily living.

What an uplifting and inspiring book about trusting God and His providence in all seasons, trials and phases of life! In this book, Nancy and her husband, Robert, explores life's issues and our struggles in matters such as marriage, singleness, financial, health, death, and children - and how we can simply trust God for His faithfulness and care amid these challenging times. This book is replete with Scriptures, stories from Bible (Joseph, Naomi and Ruth, Esther, Mary & Joseph) and also encouraging testimonies and true stories from people, including the story of the Wolgemuths.

Although this quick read is easy to understand and read, I do feel that it is not written with more depth. Nonetheless, it is a good read if you're looking for encouragement, hope and reassurance that the struggles in our life is not without purpose. God goes before us; He cares and loves us and will not forsake us. God is not concern with our comfort here on earth, but rather our holiness. I recommend this book to both new and seasoned believers!

"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them." - Psalm 139:16

This is my first time reading anything from either Nancy or Robert, and while I found the book to be structured well and cover a lot of ground, it seemed too general - almost as if the authors chose to go wide but not deep. As an author and blogger who writes with the lens that every story matters, this is a title I was very much looking forward to. I do think it's a good book, but I'm not sure exactly who to recommend it to because I'm not sure who the reader is. Great topic, but the writing itself left me wanting me.

Who doesn't love a good story? The characters are introduced, we come to love them, and ... Bam! Calamity. Conflict. Confusion. The waves of time and circumstance act to stand in the way of our hero. Will he succumb to the obstacles in his path? Or will he rise above to find his destiny? We hope, we cheer, and we find ourselves emotionally invested with each turning of the page. And in time, the hero begins to take on a life of his own.

In Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth's newest book, written with her husband Robert Wolgemuth, we are introduced to the ultimate storyteller... God himself. Who is this mastermind that weaves a tale filled with disease and healing, divorce and restoration, waiting and sometimes pain? This book is a woven picture of personal testimonies as well as Biblical stories, all pointing to God's ultimate providence and oversight. And even in the tough situations of life (pain, loss, and death), we are reminded of God's weighty purpose in each moment and our mission to make Him known.

Though Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth is a well known Christian writer, this was my first encounter with her work. Partnered with her husband Robert Wolgemuth, I was reminded again and again that the Lord has purpose in all circumstances, even those that we wish to avoid. With each chapter, I came away both challenged and encouraged. The authors do a wonderful job of sharing testimonies that lift up kingdom principles and call the reader to a higher perspective. This is a book that I can see myself returning to again and again in the future.

Nancy Demoss is no stranger to heartbreak, tragedy, and despair. She writes from a unique perspective considering her background. This book is absolutely encouraging if for the authenticity of the authors’ plea alone. I believe her when she advised that we can trust God to write our story because she has trusted God to write her story and what a story it is! Thank you for this encouraging collaboration!
