Best friend and worst enemy.
I started this book as soon as I finished 'No Looking Back' As I finished that book I knew right away I needed to read more by this author.
A great writing style and a story that you are drawn into. A story that keeps you wanting to read on. There were parts of the book I wasn't keen on and parts of the book that I loved and needed to keep going with it.
Another good read overall and I look forward to reading more.

it's told from alternating points of view, going back and forth from past to present, and I have to be honest at times I got a little confuzzled and had to go back a bit.
There are some great twists and in parts it really does hook you and keep you turning those pages.

Thanks for the chance to read and review this book.

I'm sad to say, I just couldn't get on with this book, it kept flipping backward and forwards between the years and characters making it very muddled to me. I didn't know if I was reading about Beth, Victoria or Lydia, it became very confusing. I did keep trying and read it till halfway through but frustration made me stop. It's a shame because her first book was outstanding.

Victoria thinks she has married the perfect man in Greg but she finds to her marriage unfolding he is a control freak.

Beth is trying to escape and recover from the death of her boyfriend

Lydia is just a control freak.

Thank you, NetGalley for the opportunity x

Alex Kane is a new author to me, so I didn’t have any idea what to expect. I am very happy to have been given the chance by NetGalley to discover a fantastic author. It’s difficult to describe the story without giving too much away but it’s an excellent suspense thriller with a great plot. The last few chapters are amazing and so well written. At first I didn’t enjoy how the chapters were jumping between characters and past & present, but as the story unfolded it actually worked really well. What She Did is a great read and one of my favourites this year

What an amazing thriller! Absolutely loved the storyline and the heroes. The writer spins a beautiful tale abd draws you in slowly but surely.

A good and fast paced psychological thriller. I really enjoyed the writers style and found this an easy read with some twists and thrills along the way x

While the mystery was decently done, I didn't enjoy reading this book. The characters felt like cliches. And while the writing style kept things moving along quickly, it felt stilted and kept me so distanced from the characters that I never really cared about them.

This book kept my interest and me turning the pages to see what was happening next. I wasn't familiar with this author, but she has penned a suspenseful story. The character won't be long forgotten and I was still thinking about the book when I finished.

They say that best friends can go long periods of time without talking or seeing each other and never question the friendship. The friends just pick up where they left off like no time has passed. This can be said for Lydia and Victoria. They met while Victoria was at her lowest and the two developed a very intense bond but when victoria decides to choose her now husband Greg over the friendship, the two part ways until four years later when Victoria begins to suspect the worst about her husband. As her world slowly begins to crumble like it had all those years before, Lydia comes back into her life but put Victoria life right again starting with Beth. Beth just escaped the tragedy that ended with the death of her ex-boyfriend but everywhere she looks she is reminded of him. While trying to find new love, it seems something sinister has found her. As these three lives collide, no one is safe.
This book pulled me in right from the first page. Told from alternating points of view, going back and forth from past to present, this story kept me fully engaged. I really found myself sympathizing with Ethan's Victoria and I had a love/hate relationship with Lydia. I also loved the way the characters stories were brought together. there were plenty of twists and turns in this one to keep me on the edge of my seat throughout. It was definitely a great psychological thriller. And that ending! I didn't not see that coming at all! It took me by completely surprise. Overall I loved this one!

I want to thank netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
