This was a short, erotic read. Lots of sex and the storyline wasn’t very involved. I’m not sure what the title had to do with the book. But it was a fast, hot read with a HEA. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC.

Trope: reporter interviewing artist
Cover rating: totally accurate! I give it 5 stars- the H on the cover isn't even all beefed up, totally accurate for a reporter :)
Book description accuracy: the book description makes it seem like the h is the one that holds back, when it's really more like the H. h jumps in immediately. So if you take the description as a very loose outline, you know what you're in for.
General review: I loved this! This was such an easy read, exactly what I was hoping for from the "Dirty Bits" line from Carina Press. I read one other title from them that I did NOT enjoy but gave them one more chance- so glad I did! I'll definitely continue reading this line, being selective in my authors. Anyways... Wolff's writing reminded me a lot of Nora Roberts- it was so easy, made me so invested in the characters. For something so short, that is the sign of a talented author! Her sex scenes are much better than Roberts' though, no "explode into a million starbursts" here! I'll be picking up more of her titles for sure. If this was a longer story, I could give it 5 stars because I would want to go back and re-read, but this was just a few very enjoyable hours for me. I give it 5 stars for introducing me to Wolff's writing though! The jump into sex in the beginning is a little abrupt, but go with it- it's called the "Dirty Bits" line for a reason ;) Angst style: misunderstanding
POV: 1st person, both H &h
Relationship stage reached: together, ILY exchanged
Epilogue? No

3/5 - I expected more...

I have read all three books in this series and they are good stories but each book gets more away from the plot of why sex to just different ways to get the Hero and heroine to have sex. I love erotica’s and everything they stand for in the romance genre. What I don’t like it boring sex to have sex in a story.

The beginning of the book started out promising but in the end nothing really made sense. It was insta-love and chaos which is what Destiny is in this book. I don’t understand the title of the book ‘Break Me’ - who was being broken in this story? They seemed to be two broken people looking to validate themselves through spontaneous sex with a stranger. Honestly I feel bad for Heath. He tried to be a grown up but when rainbow haired Destiny is walking around naked and grinding on him begging to be “fucked” all maturity left the story.

I wanted to like this story but it was to disconnected and unbelievable even for an erotica. It does live up to the standards of a true erotica; without the sex there is no story.

I’m bummed.

Sometimes, what I really want is an in-depth, rambling story that I can get lost in for days. At other times I want a quick read that satisfies and gets to the point. Break Me certainly falls into the latter category. This book is part of a series from Carina press, written by different authors, these short tales are designed to be a bite-sized romance that you can consume in a couple of hours. But that doesn't mean that there's nothing here.
Being a shorter story, this one certainly gets straight to the point. Our Heroine, Destiny, doesn't hold back when she knows what she wants. We're barely past introductions before she's getting exactly what she wants from journalist Heath, and believe me, it isn't being the subject of the interview that he's actually there for.
I really enjoyed this quick read. When you're in the mood for a bit of a romantic fix, with a side serving of some hot passion, then this will certainly hit the spot.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book is hot, and full of sexy moments. In a short time these characters discover that with each other they don't feel broken anymore. Which is a good thing because they break down their walls and confide in each other. Feeling the release needed to be happy.

"I love that she's trouble. Love even more that she gives as good as she gets."

I'm a big Tracy Wolff fan, her writing style just does it for me. Also, I really enjoy art themed stories so The Art of Pleasure series has been a hit for me. The 'pleasure' part makes it a Win/win. 😉

While some readers might not love the shorter stories, I do! It's really nice for me to be able to pick up something that I know I'll have time for, to fit in-between my other projects. Sometimes, I just need a good story to clear my mind after something heavy, ya know? These Dirty Bits from Carina Press are like a chocolate kiss, decadent and delicious.

Break Me is different than the other books in the series because this artist is female. She's not alpha or bossy, she's sassy and sweet. Destiny is fun and flirty and full of life. But, she's also got a past she's not sharing. Heath understands that well, he's honed his detection skills over the years. Being a journalist he can read between the lines and he can pick up on things others can't.

Heath and Destiny have some crazy strong chemistry!
I'm not going to sugar coat it for you - this is a seriously hot story! Very erotic.
I thought the story line was pretty good. I always wish for more though. I would have especially have liked an epilogue to know 'how it ended'. This was longer then a novella, but not as long as a regular novel.
Overall, I did enjoy this one and I would recommend it.
