This was such a sweet story! Jenna is a divorced mother of two children. She and her children are taking their annual summer trip to Tybee Island. Her kids will attend a summer camp, while she completes work on her second novel.

Lucas is an entrepreneur and surfer who shies away from any serious entanglements. He expects this to continue when Jenna and her children move into the condo that adjoins his for the summer. He and Jenna agree that he will keep his furry kid (Tank the pup) on his side) on his side and she will keep her human kids on her side.

They both have walls built around their hearts. Can they let themselves break down those wall?

This is a sweet summer read about a mom who is just trying to do everything right for her kids and a surfer dude who has no intention of being tied down by things like kids. You can imagine where the story leads.... It's the twists, the disappointments, the little celebrations, and all of the tiny moments that really make the story though. Oh, and the shrimp scampi!

A completely charming summer read that makes you want to pack up your beach bag and head to the shore. In particular, I loved watching Lucas develop a relationship with Jenna's kids. It really gave me the sense that this wasn't just a couple falling in love but a family opening up to welcome a new member.

Love Hallmark saw the movie and now have read the book. The kids interaction with Lucas were some of my favorite parts the book made them better. I love a RomCom that is clean Hallmark never disappoints. Now I have a new author Teri Wilson to look for to read more of her books.
