Christmas at Rachel’s Pudding Pantry is a fabulous festive read that will definitely warm your heart but also male you feel very hungry.

As well as being full of festive recipes, this book follows Rachel, her daughter Maisy and her mum Jill and life in general at Primrose Farm. They’re opening the doors of the Pudding Pantry again and helping the village get into the festive spirit.

The book features great characters, a wayward lamb, a love interest and lots of heartwarming cheer. A great read that I’m sure everyone will love.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Impulse One More Chapter and the author for the chance to review.

We’re back at the farm again and Rachel’s pantry though popular is not busy enough, we follow her busy life through some ups and downs and even more amazing recipes. Her story is one of family, friendships and good community spirit. Will she be able to keep the farm and pantry going. Another heartfelt and lovely read.

A touching book about the surviving family after the loss of a father. Rachel is working diligently to maintain the farm and assisting her mother with a café/bakery. She is a single mother trying to fit time in for her boyfriend whom she hopes can wait for her. A lovely story with heartwarming characters!

I was so happy to be back in Rachel's Pudding Pantry!! If you loved the first book, this is the perfect follow-up! It's as lovely as the first. It's been one of my favourite Christmas novels of 2019! And I think that both of the Pudding Pantry books would be the perfect gift for the person in your life that loves Mary Berry and a good heartwarming story!

What a lovely festive book! I really enjoyed reading about Rachel and the Swinton girls, and I think setting it all in a small village, in a farming background added to the books charm. It's well written and really paints a picture of the cold wintery weather with the warm festive feel of The Pudding Pantry. I could almost smell the christmas puddings steaming on the Aga!
It's a nice, cosy read and I love that it has little recipes at the start of some chapters - reading about all the delicious puddings definitely makes you hungry! I'm looking forward to the next installment of the Swinton family

Thank you to NetGalley and to HarperCollins Publishers for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

There is nothing better than starting off a book about Christmas than having a Buttery Mince Pie recipe to ponder. Imagine a cup of tea with it and start reading. This is one of the best types of Christmas books lots of old-fashioned recipes that you want to try out after finishing the book.

This is the second book in the Pudding Pantry series by Caroline Roberts. Rachel is preparing for the Christmas seasons with her boyfriend Tom but Christmas also brings his ex to town. Love and family make this a memorable Christmas for Rachel.

This was a real page turner. I read the previous book and loved it but this was on another level. I couldn't put it down. The story of all the characters was compelling. I loved all the characters and they felt so real. Every town should have a Rachel's Pudding Pantry it sounds like a wonderful place to get together. I also loved the recipes and will certainly be making a few, if not all, of them for this coming Christmas. Brilliant, compelling and touching.

Oh, what an absolute delight it is to be back on a journey with the Swinton ladies and this time round, it's Christmas!! Rachel, Gill and Maisy are three of my most favourite book characters, so when I was able to read more about Ruth this time around and see her contributions, she can most certainly be added on to that list as well.

There's something about Caroline's books that I absolutely adore - the cosiness, the way she describes every scene in the story, the delicious recipes that she has decided to share with us - it's all just so wonderfully magical, so to have a Christmas theme on top of all that, I never wanted the book to end. Caroline's descriptive writing of the Pudding Pantry and Primrose Farm had me feeling incredibly jealous that I don't have a Pudding Pantry to visit on a day to day basis - I'd really be in my element! One of my New Year resolutions, which I haven't even attempted yet is to learn how to bake and Caroline's delicious recipes have given me that push to have a go. What better time of the year to start baking delicious, warm goods as well!

Rachel definitely had many more obstacles to tackle throughout this book, compared to the first - some of it hilarious, some of it extremely sad. Ruth's story-line was definitely one close to my heart, after just recently losing my Grandad, all I wanted for her was a speedy recovery and a happy ending.

Rachel and Tom's new relationship was also already becoming strained from the amount of work Rachel had decided to put on herself and although there were times Rachel could've got Tom involved with stuff, but didn't, I totally understood how difficult it can be to balance everything and also put 100% energy in to it all. There's only so much one person can do, whilst also trying to take some time out for themselves as well.

Overall, this was another gorgeous book from Caroline - roll on book three!

Aah, this book is so good - like the best sticky toffee pudding ever, a sweet treat and so enjoyable that you savour every bit and hope for more when it is over.
It was so good to get a second helping of the the Pudding Pantry series and to catch up with happenings at Primrose farm. After getting off to a fantastic start over the summer months the winter brings with it not just ill health and a dangerous blizzard but also a decline in customer numbers to the Pudding Pantry. So Rachel, Jill, Maisie and Granny Ruth put plans into action to increase revenue and encourage customers back to the Pudding Pantry, including some scrumptious sounding puddings. We follow the ups & downs of their attempts and similarly the ups & downs of Rachel’s relationship with neighbouring farmer Tom.
Although this is the second Pudding Pantry book it can still be easily read as a stand alone (although I’d encourage you to read the first as it’s a great story).
A mixture of love, puddings, a bit of Christmas magic, more puddings, friendship and some tasty sounding recipes to tempt any baker; this book has all the ingredients for an amazing read, I loved it.

Although I enjoyed this I did find it rather slow and not really as exciting as I thought it was going to be. Little disappointing, well written but seemed to lack any direct story and seemed rushed x

I was so excited to see a sequel to the original Pudding Pantry book, and I was so excited to receive a copy. It did not disappoint.
This is the perfect Christmas read, a sprinkle of romance, a pinch of drama and a massive dollop of festive feels!
The book focuses on the run up to Christmas, with Rachel and Jill feeling the pinch with their finances - but who knew the magic of a Christmas pudding :-)
We also follow the romance of Tom and Rachel as this unfolds and grows - my only criticism is we never find out the outcome of Caitlins visit, did he have to give her some extra cash.
I’m giving this book 5 stars as I thoroughly enjoyed it, it’s a guarantee when cake is involved. Can not wait for the next episode, I’m expecting confetti and a large tiered cake!
Thanks for allowing me to read in exchange for this review

What an absolute delight to head back to Rachel’s pudding pantry! Such an amazing, warm and lovely book to read. I absolutely loved the first one so was extremely excited when I was given the opportunity to review this before publication so massive thank you to NetGalley. This is a delightfully, scrummy book that totally gets you in the mood for Christmas, I particularly love all the Christmas themed recipes which I will definitely be trying out this year. It was so easy to be sucked into the this book and fall in love with the characters and Primrose Farm all over again. Thank you Caroline for delivering absolute perfection yet again. My advice to you all is to get this on your wish
list because it’s brilliant, a perfectly, warm feel-good book that you will no doubt fall in love with just like I have.

Another delightful story from the Pudding Pantry. Great characters and an absorbing storyline. The descriptions of the puddings made my mouth water! Sometimes we need a cosy story and this one came at the right time.

This was a so so read for me. I liked the start with the recipe for mince pies which evoked some lovely memories of my mums which were melt in the mouth and utterly delicious! I liked the characters of Rachel, Jill and Maisy Swinton and I liked the idea of the Pudding Pantry and wish we had one nearby as it did seem lovely and cosy. There were some nice descriptions in some of the events as we led up to Christmas such as the Christmas Fayre , the Christmas Eve Carol Service and the school nativity play and some scenes that were reasonably amusing. Somehow, though, I doubt that a primary school would be mad enough to have a live sheep along with the shepherds! Of course, it snowed too which it rarely ever does but possibly given its Northumbrian hill setting it just might! If you want a good old soppy ending in the build up to Christmas then this is the book for you!

I did like that the book contained recipes but they were so run of the mill that if you possess an old fashioned Be-Ro book or Delia Smiths complete cookery book you’re sorted. I was kind of with snarky Rachel when she attended a Pudding Night when she said none of it was rocket science. A fruit crumble is one of the simplest things to cook and I should know as even I can do it!! The characters seemed to spend their entire time eating(what size were they?) and seemed to think that a jam roley poly was the answer to any problem. I think your problem might be eating it in the first place as it renders you incapable of movement for at least 24 hours and is more likely to induce a heart attack!

I didn’t think the quality of the writing was particularly good and Rachel saying petal at every sentence uttered to Maisy just made me want to scream! How irritating too was ‘bless them’ at the end of some descriptions of the characters!!! There was one particular scene where the farm had intruders in the middle of the night and Rachel firstly grabbed a cricket bat from a cupboard, then went and unlocked the gun cabinet, then confronted the robbers as the dog was wildly barking. I think they’d have scarpered by then and not hung around for a sexist conversation!! If she had the gun what the hell was she going to use the cricket bat for!!!!!! I’ll just fetch my ball.

Overall, it’s an ok quick read that has some charming sections, some nice characters, stirs some nice Christmas memories and makes you look forward to the festive season even if the writing is a bit flawed.

This was an enjoyable follow on from Rachel’s Pudding Pantry, which I read a few days ago. Once again, I enjoyed the lovely farm setting, and all the characters. It was good to see that the Pudding Pantry was finally starting to bring in a bit more of a profit towards the end of the book - it’s probably realistic having quite times and the business taking time to get going, but it was nice to see progress.

One thing I did find a little irritating about Rachel, was that for at least a month, she seemed to make no effort to spend time with Tom. She was extremely busy, but she could have invited him to join in with more of the things she was doing. Tom seems to do rather more than his half of the running and romantic gestures in their relationship. I really hope that Rachel will be a little more proactive (in terms of their relationship) in the next book.

Overall, this was a lovely book, with a family oriented Christmas feel. It was so pleasant to return to a group of characters that I am fond of.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Really wonderful christmas story.

This is a follow up the the highly brilliant rachels pudding pantry which i loved.

Rachel and her mum Jill run a pudding pantry out of their farm in the north of England. They serve a whole host of interesting characters, and there is a bit of drama not only in their personal lives, but on the farm.

Full of charm, romance, great characters, and magic settings this book will get you in the mood to put your christmas tree up early, it did me anyway. It also has the added bonus that it contains all the recipes from the story and ive already added a few of them to my own recipe book, the baileys cheesecake, lemon biscuits, and the christmas pudding.

Lovely story, i would really recommend it.
