Legacy and Second Chances
Reid is a man who is trying to control every aspect of his life, family, and business, against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Blair, acquaintance of the family and aspiring big-time interior designer, is not in his plans... except.

The story is a quieter conflict, with both characters fighting internal battles more than confronting an external obstacle. A few times, narrative continuity slips amongst all the internal dialogue. Steamy scenes are steamy, and both main characters get a chance to act doltish and then ask for grace. 3.5 stars.

Blair is a take control woman who knows what she wants. Thinking Reid will agree to her terms for an affair was the easy part not falling in love is the real kicker. When things begin to change for Blair she has her heart on the line now and knows she's is going to get hurt. The book was easy to read it in a day nice getaway fo a few hours.

Forbidden to Touch by JC Harroway is a short steamy romance that was entertaining enough but failed to engage me in any real way. I happily read the whole thing in one sitting during a rainy afternoon in lockdown. It kept my interest with great sex scenes and interesting characters but it was lacking in chemistry and real depth.

Was easy to read but it didn't really hold my interests. It was full of steamy hot scenes and was the only thing that made me keep reading. The in-between was boring and there wasn't a real storyline. The age gap between the main characters didn't really bother me, the couple had well written chemistry. Was a great romance book but it had something missing for me.

I was not expecting this book to be a smutty as it was.
I was expecting far more plotline and about the interior design of the hotel.
So needless to say this book was not for me.
I like a more plotline along with some sexy times.
Sorry this one wasn't for me.

Blaire knew Reid since she was young. Reid was 10 years her senior and she always had a biggest crush on him. When she went to see Mr. Faulkner, she never thought she would meet Reid. Will Reid honor her contract with his father? Now she is all grown up and needs her business off the ground with this job.
Once they decide to work together, sparks are flying. Both have been burned before, will they give each other another chance at love.
It was quick and steamy read.

This is the my first time reading anything by this author, and this was an enjoyable read.

This is the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors series, and the story of Reid, and Blair. Blair has always had a crush on Reid, but he was older, and off limits. But fate has stepped in, and brought them together, it's now ten years later, and the attraction between Reid, and Blair is still as hot, and steamy. This was a quick read, emotional, sexy, and romantic. 3.5 Stars

A steamy romance that has characters you can relate to. Blair has always had a crush on Reid but when she finally gets her chance with him will he meet her expectations? This couple is worth rooting for and hoping for a happy ending. I enjoyed this book, it was very engaging. Hot, Steamy, love! This couple has so much Chemistry it is dangerous!

Forbidden to touch by J.C. Harroway is wonderful!! I loved the dynamic between Reid and Blair. The sexy heated banter is inspired. Will Reid let Blair redesign his hotel? Will Blair get to live her fantasies of being with Reid her teen crush?

This is the 3rd book in the series of brothers. I have not read the others but was able to keep up pretty well with everything going on. But I’m sure the other 2 books are just as great!

As part of the Billionaires Bachelors series this is a great story about family friends who are thrown together by circumstances. Likeable main characters, quick read, thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended for the Dare Series and for the Billionaires Bachelors story. Great plot and it's made me want to look out the other two books.

To put it simply, the cover sells this book right. If what the cover promises is something you are interested in you will be engaged and enthralled and a bit turned on. If it does not appeal you will probably not enjoy it. My wife and I quite enjoyed it fully.

Their dad is suffering from memory loss. The doctors have given him a diagnosis they don’t want to accept. Therefore, will be taking him for a second opinion. Since they own a chain of luxury hotels that is their family business it leaves his three sons no choice but to step up.

Reid had been groomed to one day take over the business work from the ground up. But his dad is only sixty. So, instead of sailing, he will now be captain of the Faulkner Group. His brothers Drake and Kit will be there to help. Not only at the office but with Graham their father.

They believe the transition has been smooth until they find out Graham had scheduled and hired a small company to redecorate. At first, Reid thought he would enter the meeting dismiss the decorator because their too small to handle any job of their scale. But when he takes the meeting it’s none other than Blair Cameron. Her father is his father’s friend, business rival (friendly one), and golfing pal.

Growing up they both had been attracted to one another. But with the ten-year age difference. They both knew nothing could come of it. But now they wouldn’t mind exploring and still, nothing comes of it. Their libidos were in dire need. Both their exes had left terrible lasting effects.

Now a verbal contract can change everything for them. Will it help keep them detached as they want or bind them together, especially, with their families.

I enjoyed this book, a nice change where she got to fulfill her fantasies. I liked how they were so comfortable with each other once they got past the second meeting. Their banter was funny and sweet. This is one sexually charged couple. Her relationship with his dad is interesting. But caring and sweet too, not wanting to give it away.

A steamy read with interesting characters. Reid had to run family business because his father's health issue, and Blair, Reid's family friend had to fulfill the contract that signed by Reid's father. And the romance ensued.

Reid is now running the family business due to his father's health issues. Blair has come to work due to a contract she signed with the father. She has had a crush on Reid for years and now she offers a second contract for him to complete her sexual fantasies. This book is steamy and emotional.

i had high hopes for this book but I didn't connect with the characters. I DNFed it at 20%. I really tried to give it a try but this was not for me.

Very steamy read, great characters and interesting story overall. The fact that she’s ten years his senior is even better for me as there aren’t many books like this and I was so happy to read another strong woman who will be toe to toe with her lover.
The fantasies, the contracts and everything they go through will keep you wanting to read faster than any other books.

Having read Devoted of JC Harroway a few years back, I decided to give her another go. As you can read in my review of Devoted, I was a bit puzzled by JC Harroway's writing. So, when I saw the Dare series on Netgalley I requested Forbidden To Touch. Technically I found that Forbidden To Touch was better than Devoted. The hot-and-steamy-factor was definitely there, but still the story didn't always make total sense to me. Reid Faulkner is shocked to find out that his father's memory lapses are most likely caused by dementia. Therefore, he and his brothers have to step up to ensure the family business can continue before their father makes the wrong decisions or forgets about his decisions all together. Like his agreement with Blair Cameron, the daughter of a family friend, to redecorate one of the hotels.
Reid is suspicious whether Blair has taken advantage of his father, because of his memory issues. Therefore he doesn't really trust the contract that has been drawn up. But when Blair proposes another contract all together, with him and Blair living out her sexual fantasies about him, how can he resist?
The dementia of Reid's father and his memories of Sadie (Reid's ex) and the setup of the contract are a bit strange. However, don't let this get your panties in a twist, because they will get damp in the end. Four out of five steaming stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
