I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a quick and hot read! I read it in one sitting! This was my first Harlequin Dare book and I look forward to reading more. This book was full of angst and I really enjoyed the characters and plotline.

A ten year age gap is different when one is a teenager still, but when Reid and Blair reconnect years later those ten years disappear because as adults they can act on the sizzling attraction that has always been there between them. FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH is sizzling hot, like all the titles in the Harlequin Dare™ line, yet there is a poignancy as well when we meet Reid’s father who is going through dementia.

Though Blair and Reid have known each other for years as family friends, and Blair’s intense teenage crush, now they come together under far different circumstances. Reid’s father has gone through with plans that Reid believed were shelved, but dementia makes decisions for his father now. When that decision brings an adult Blair back into his life Reid is about to get a wake-up call. Blair’s not afraid to go after what she wants – and what she wants is him.

FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH is sizzling, hot, emotional and simply a darned good story. The emotions run the gambit from intense anger to extreme sadness, with a really good dose of hot, sexy need tossed into the mix. I enjoyed Blair and Reid’s story, and if you like your Romance on the sizzling, spicy side then you’ll want to pick up the third title in the Billionaire Bachelors series now.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read that will keep you wanting more. It was well written and the characters were wonderful. It had some touching parts when the brothers are dealing with their father who has the early onset of dementia. This book was all types of hot. If you pick this up, you will not be disappointed.

Reid sees the worry on his brother's faces and it tightens the shackles of his role. As eldest and head of the Faulkner group but it’s a role he was practically born to. So he hides his concern and said the doctor said the best thing for their dad was to maintain his current routine. So Reid said let’s keep him at the golf course or his club until they know his prognosis. Drake and Kit nod. Their family business was a chain of luxury hotels their father had built from the ground up. Their father had always been there for them, for Reid in particular. Reid will do whatever it takes to help their dad, just like his dad had always done for him. Kit said “ you can’t take on everything.” “It’s peak tourist season.” Reid is divorced- he had room in his life for extras. His father had taught him the ropes from the day he first accompanied his father to work as a boy. Reid’s assistant Sue asked if Mr. Faulkner was popping in today? They were a tight knit company, their staff long-standing and loyal. She said there is someone who claims to have an appointment with Mr. Faulkner in Reception. She also said there was an entry in Mr. Faulkner’s schedule for a meeting with an interior design company at twelve. This was an unseen twist. It’s Reid’s job to know everything that goes on at the Faulkner Group. Blair Cameron sits on the sofa. Reid’s puls picks up with the surge of attraction he’d spent years ignoring. Blair’s family and his go way back. The daughter of his father’s friend, business rival albeit a friendly one, fellow golf crony, she grew up in similar circles. It’s been years since they had any personal contact. There is a ten year age gap between them. Appreciation of her is all there can be. Is Blair there to use Grahams- Reid’s father- forgetfulness and vulnerability as an opportunity to scope out the competition? Reid was jumpy- just because Sadie- his ex wife- cured him from trusting members of the opposite sex. He shouldn’t condom Blair of for industrial espionage just yet. How much of Graham’s diagnosis of early set dementia should he reveal. His natural inclination is to played his cards close to his chest, especially when it comes to his father’s uncertain health and the business it’s his job to safeguard for his family. Reid’s divoce cured him of anything…. Romantic. Sex had been something he’d slot into his diary along with the gym, dental checkups, and haircuts although perhaps a little more regularly. Blair knows reid is hot but their chemistry if kept separate from business needn’t be an obstacle. Blair has been celeibate for the last year after what Josh - her ex fiance- did to her. Blair refuses to be dismissed by Reid. She had a contract. She was used to fighting to be seen and taken seriously. Josh had taken their biggest clients after being caught cheating with his best friend and almost decimated the company. Blair had fought hard the last year to rebuild and reinvent her business. Blair’s libido’s been dominant since she and Josh had split, but Reid’s interest swoops along every nerve ending.
I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved reid and Blair together and how they interacted. I loved how bold and honest Blair could be and was with reid especially about their sexual relationship. I loved the author brought in the disease of dementia and how it affects family and friends etc. I liked the plot. But his did seem to drag for me at times for me and maybe a little too much sex. It seemed to mainly take over the story for me. Not that it was bad just a little much as far as I am concerned. I loved the closeness of the Faulfner brothers and their father. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

Good, very hot, very sexy read. Family friends to lovers is fun reading, especially with all the steaming pages it delivers. Age isn’t a factor, family isn’t either when Reid & Blair set up their fantasy come true time. What started out as a crush years ago turns into more for both. Fears & failures get in the way but with the truth from his family & honesty from each other the future looks brighter. A good book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
It was a quick sexy read with lots of steamy scenes. Reid and Blair have good chemistry, however the emphasis on the age gap was repeated a fair bit. They're both consenting adults with a working relationship and fun on the side. It finished quite quickly with the couple professing their love a bit early, but maybe when you know, you know.
2.5-3 stars

I finished this book and really enjoyed it. It was hot and steamy but in all the good ways. There were some places where it was a bit bittersweet when mentioning Graham’s condition. This book was a fun, fast read. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would read this author again.

A steamy story, funny. I love the characters and how they are portrayed. I love that Blair is an independant woman -although she can't control herself around Reid-. I love Reid, too. Also, Harlequin Dare surprised me for the best cause usually those stories are really dull. So chapeau for that, I would definitely purchase it.

Forbidden to Touch is the third book in JC Harroway’s series, Billionaire Bachelors from Harlequin/Mills & Boon DARE line. Although this is third in the series, I do feel it could be read as a standalone. I personally have not read the previous two books and didn’t feel lost within the storyline. But in saying that, I do plan on going back and reading the first two books in this series and checking out this author’s backlist. I was impressed with Ms. Harroway’s writing and look forward to reading more from her!

Reid Faulkner is the eldest brother and head of the Faulkner Group, their family business. He’s taken over the role now that his father, Graham has retired and has shown early signs of dementia. When Blair Cameron shows up at his office for a scheduled appointment with his father to talk about renovations on their hotel, it falls upon Reid to deal with…

Blair Cameron is a family friend of the Faulkner’s. Her father and Graham Faulkner are friendly business rivals and go way back. Although there is a ten-year difference between her & Reid, she’s had a crush on him since she was a teenager.

Oh my, what a hot read! The chemistry between these two was just off the charts! I actually liked both characters from the very beginning. Both Reid and Blair are coming from bad relationships, so neither one is really looking for anything serious. The attraction is immediate for Reid and he’s surprised to hear that Blair had a crush on him all those years ago. I loved that Blair initiated the relationship in the beginning! Go, Blair! It’s fun to see the female take control for once and ask for what she wants! ;-) The scenes with Graham and his dementia were emotional, well written and worked within the storyline very well. It was also nice to get a glimpse of Reid’s brothers and I’ll definitely be taking a look at their stories soon! I truly enjoyed this story and couple and were rooting for them to admit their love for each other. I loved the epilogue for this book and felt it was perfect for this couple. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from Ms. Harroway and the DARE line!

I'm gonna go a little Paris Hilton on this one and say... That was hot! I have to say, I am really digging this new Dare series by Harlequin and I love the fact that all the ones I've sampled are quick or short reads or 'quickies' as I call them. This book does have an age gap to it (but it's so not in the squicky realm).

Forbidden to Touch is a steamy read featuring Blair, an up and coming interior designer, and Reid, the newly promoted CEO of his family's hotel empire. Reid is attempting to gain control over the recent retirement of his father from the family business in light of his new diagnosis of dementia. When Blair shows up for a meeting his father had set before his 'retirement, Reid is thrown for a loop. Not only was he completely unaware of their meeting, but he was also unaware his father had moved forward with the previously tabled renovations to their flagship hotel. And to his total, but pleasant, surprise little Blair a family friend and the owner of the design company performing the remodel, has grown up into quite the confident and sexy woman.

I heart Blair. I heart strong women that aren't afraid to speak their minds and whoa does Blair deliver. Blair is 10 years Reid's junior and had quite an active imagination back in her youth. Apparently, she had quite the crush on Reid when she was younger and now that she is faced with him again is surprised at the revival and strengthening of those feelings again. Not only does Blair stand up the sharp-minded and strong-willed Reid but she negotiates an additional 'personal' contract with Reid to act out all her previous youthful fantasies. Reid couldn't be more on board with this idea if he tried. He has surrendered to the idea of non-commitment following a bad divorce and Blair is in much the same after the crash and burn of her last relationship. Let me just say, the steam is strong with this one! Whew. (Although, I do wish we got more fantasies, but I'm not complaining).

I recommend this book for those looking for a fun, quick steamy read! Can't wait for more!

Blair Cameron has had a crush on Reid Faulkner since she was a teenager. Now, she’s renovating the hotel that Reid’s family owns. Can she stay away? Or, will she give Reid a chance to fulfill all of her dreams?
This was a contemporary romance with a lot of steam but something was missing. I wanted more from the other characters. I wanted to know more about Blair’s family. I felt like I didn’t get the whole story. Knowing that this book is part of a series, I may need to read them all. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Reid and Blair may have ten years between them, but they heat up the sheets, sofa and board room like hormonal teenagers. Harlequin Dare is not my grandmother's Harlequin! Sexy. Passionate. Bold indeed!

Blair and Reid were one hot couple.

I absolutely love "friends older brother" or tropes like that. This one fits the bill. Blair has known Reid's family her whole life and while she is the same age as one of Reid younger brothers it didn't stop the teenage crush she developed on Reid who was 10 years older than her.

I loved the couple in this book. It showed major depth with both of them. I especially liked when the author showed Reid's vulnerability. This to me, showed how much he trusted Blair and also showed him heaving feelings.

Reid is a man who likes control and order. He is not someone who gives his trust easily, even to a woman who has been a family friend all her life. He is always looking for a hidden agenda.

I will admit there were times I wanted to throat punch Reid for not trusting but yet this was his journey in the book.
