William a truly all work no fun workaholic, finds himself watching for his niece and without an assistant and issues with his dad. India had to leave her job, her feelings for William are more than what she knows is right. However she gets herself living at his house, watching her niece and helping him with his work, but with some rules in place. Two weeks and what do you think will happen? Fast reading story with an enemies to lovers, billionaire boss and a sexy woman, fantastic read.

This was a enemies to lovers, boss /employee and billionaire romance.. Lots of little tropes all mixed up.
Oh add in pseudo single dad (uncle really and temporarily taking care of neice) so yea trope heavy
The heroine just didn't work for me. She was too cold and calculating. The hero was too beta.
But it read easy and moved pretty fast.
I just miss my Remy type alpha. I really miss that possessive, protective and totally masculine edge I know this author is capable of writing.

2.5 stars rounded up.

Big shot is a stand-alone but his brother Kits story came out before this. William is a workaholic. When forced into watching his niece for two weeks, losing his assistant he desperately needs, and dealing with his dad. Things get rough for the poor guy. India knew she had to leave. She wasn’t happy anymore and her feelings for William are well more than they should be.

When he needs India to help with not only his niece and his work, she goes back but under some rules. Spending two weeks together in his house side by side flares some emotions in both of them. Will they survive or fall apart?

This is book 2 in a series but it stands alone and I did not read the first book. I enjoyed it though William I did not love. At times he is this jerk of a boss but with not much of a reason to be one and other times he was kinda wishy washy, he actually makes moves on India but then rejects her and that was kinda annoying.

India works for William and she HATES him because he is a jerk. It is not personal he is a jerk to everyonenexcept his brothers new baby daughter. India gets a new job and so she quits, but William's brother goes away and leaves the baby with him and so he begs India to stay and work at his home for two weeks.

The result is that he becomes less of a jerk and India developes a THING for him. He makes moves on her but always resists here and that was annoying. I felt he didnt know what he really wanted and that caused me to not really like him. As a whole I enjoyed the story.

India hates her insufferable boss William but is secretly attracted to him. William treats India terribly because he is a workaholic and insecure about his success. Although I enjoyed the relationship William and India finally have after they both realize they care about each other, it was hard for me to accept that India would have put up with so much abuse for so long.

"—William Walker, the man they say has a heart of stone. Oh, yes. Every inch of that guy is rock-hard, heart included."

The story started out exciting. I really loved the heat and sparks between William and India. She'd been tolerating his insufferable behavior for the past year and she hated her job as his assistant for that reason. I was mentally egging her on when it came to telling him off, he deserved it. How she managed to bite her tongue for so long is a miracle and I was ready for her to let him have it. It was so fun as I visualized and anticipated that eventual event.

I usually like alpha assholes, but I struggled to connect with William. Even William had trouble getting in touch with himself. Who knew all it would take was being stuck in his big ole mansion with a teeny tiny baby to make him realize how unequipped he was to handle his life. How could he possibly manage running his company and taking care of a baby when his assistant quit and he didn't have any help?

Indie had been putting up with her boss for a long time and when she finally had enough she was done. I was so proud of her for quitting and finally standing up to him. But at the same time, I wanted her to say yes when he called for help. How much more fun would it be when he was at her mercy and she could push his buttons for a change, right?

If you read Boss, then you'll remember meeting his brother and father. It's not necessary as this story is a standalone, but if so, you'll enjoy revisiting those fun characters. The book is on the shorter side so everything happens rather quickly. But...it's Katy Evans. Enough said.

William appreciates his woman's taste in food, "...she says, scrolling through the menu with a serious expression on her face. I can’t help but smile at her. “I appreciate a woman with an appetite.” I liked this book, I liked William.
