⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
Cecelia Winters has just returned home after being in prison for eight years for killing her father, a crime she did not commit, and now is determined to find the truth and prove her innocence.Deacon Ross , her new neighbor , is the only one who she trusts to help her find the answers but Deacon has his own agenda to find the truth even if it means destroying Cecelia in the end
The Stranger Next Door by Debra Webb is the third book in the Tennessee Thriller series but my first one and can be read as a stand alone . A fast action filled romantic suspense it makes for an entertaining read but did feel the ending was rushed . Overall will forward to read the next one in the series
I would like to thank Harlequin & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Cecelia is finally out of jail for a crime she didn't commit. Someone has murdered her father and for some reason her siblings has turned on her and she's on a mission to find out who she went to jail for. Deacon Ross is a FBI agent on his own agenda trying to find a missing friend and he thinks Cecelia is the one who may have gotten to him. Now that Cecelia back looking for the truth its clear she isn't wanted and in danger herself attempts have been made but thankfully Deacon her friendly neighbor is there to help.
Normally I hate coming across books that have a cult going on in it, just not into that kinda thing appearing in books but since she wasn't apart of it I was able to look past it. It was interesting seeing what Cecelia had to deal with growing up, and was amazed at her siblings relationship with her you'd think they'd be close but there were things going on, secrets being kept and everything was deeper then it seemed. Then there was Deacon her friendly neighbor uncover FBI agent. As things progress the slowly burning attraction is clear and readers can't help but wonder when his cover is blown how things would get handled. If you're looking for a romance there isnt much of it in this but if you are looking for a good mystery you'll want to check this book out. I really enjoyed this book!

This story takes place in Winchester TN and this author has used this setting in previous books. This is a creepy thriller and keeps you interested till the end of the book. Heroine has a family that is vicious. Her father and now her brother are cult leaders and were very violent. I was not sure where this story line was actually going but every thing was tied up with a good ending

Debra Webb is able to create a well balanced story that seems to start off in two different direction but soon leads to the same ending. The author pulls out all the stops for the level of creepy people this story has. The female lead his very likable and readers will be able to connect with her quickly.
The story is fast pace and keeps readers on their toes even if they think the know they are right it might find there is still more to learn.
Debra Webb has the ability to creeps readers out but balancing it out with the light and romance in her stories.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Harlequin Suspense romance. for the advance copy of Debra Webb The Stranger Next Door.

The Stranger Next Door by Debra Webb is a thriller that hooks you from the first pages. It was fascinating to watch as Cecelia acclimates to live outside of jail. She went to jail for the murder of her father when she was 19. The book opens as she is being released 8 years later.
Deacon is an FBI agent and the stranger next door. He has moved in beside her to find how what she knows about the disappearance of his mentor 8 years ago. I was not sure how the author was going to redeem Deacon. You feel that he is totally taking advantage of her as she is naïve and lonely from getting out of prison.
The suspects in this book are creepy and crazy. Cecelia’s family was a mess. I loved the relationship that she had with her grandmother.
Debra Webb is an author that will keep you guessing and a creator of creepy villains.
Sexual content – 2 one physical scene
Violence – 3.5 some of the violence is in the past but still disturbing,
Alcohol – 1 an exboyfriend is drunk
Language 1

I love it when stories tie together charatures. This story takes place in Winchester TN. Debra Webb has written many books on a few different families living in that town. As always the stories are filled with excellent charatures who endure all sorts of family drama.
This story involves Cecelia Winters who was convicted of murdering her father at 18 and sentenced to 8 years in prison. After serving her time Cece comes back to town to accomplish only one mission. To find out who really killed her father and clear her name. To Cece her father was evil. To his followers he was revered or feared. After his death her older brother Marcus took over where her father left off as the new leader of what they called their church. Her younger sister has shunned her and her younger brother is strangely missing.
Cece is trying to resume a normal life while she plans her strategy. However, she first has to deal with attempts to stone her, burn her house down, and being physically threatened by an old boyfriend. When a stranger who now lives next door, Decon, steps in to save her.
However, Decon isn't who he says he is and may have an ulterior motive for saving her.
Can she trust Decon or is he just as duplicitous as her brother and sister who lied sending Cecilia to prison.
Thank you NetGalley and Debra Webb for allowing me to read this ARC. This is my honest opinion great book!
