If you have not read book one, this title can get a bit confusing. Trust me. I enjoyed it, and read it as a standalone. People are disappearing from earth and others have been enslaved by aliens. The two must both fight to see the continuance of the human race. A fun book, but I really need to read book one. I look forward to seeing the next book in the series.

This sequel to Last Pick is even better than the first. Now that we have established where the aliens take the humans they harvest, the driving force of the plot is for the twins to find their parents and all to reunite. But wait, there’s more monkey wrenches thrown into the plan to sabotage the aliens and a moral dilemma to boot. Themes of acceptances of differences, teamwork and leadership, and sacrifice for the greater good elevate this science fiction adventure to a solid suggested read. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved the first one, so I was very excited for this next installment, and I was not disappointed. If anything, I liked Born to Run even more! It was action-packed, and the relationships between the characters were great. Paired with the amazing illustrations, this was just an awesome read. Cannot wait for the next one!

This sequel is just as humorous and touching as the first graphic novel. I love the overall message of finding worth in yourself regardless of how the world measures you. Bright illustrations, a fast-paced story, and sympathetic characters will engage and entertain readers. Highly recommended!
