I used to read all of the books by this author, so I was really happy to receive an ARC from net galley. I found a few hours of free time, settled back to read...And was totally disappointed.

I don't know if I've grown out of this type of book, or The author has changed, but I was bored. Yes, bored. Romance, mystery, ghosts...what's not to love? The answer...the writing. There seemed to be a lot of rambling. And i did not feel like I was immersed in the story. I was not drawn in. And the romance? What romance? They were in love in their teens, we're separated by a misunderstanding, reunited as adults and boom...they were just back together like an old married couple....like I said, boring.

Heather has done it again! I loved this book! It had it all; history, romance, ghosts , murder and suspense.
Young people who witnessed a murder at a ranch resort find themselves reunited twelve years later back at the scene of a unsolved murder. Each of them has a new life but they all share the memories of that fateful night. Memories that are stirred as girls begin to disappear- is the murderer back!

Tangled Threat by Heather Graham is a very good mystery/thriller. There are women going missing in Florida and, it appears this may be related to a murder mystery from twelve years ago. Very suspenseful and fast moving story.

As a Florida transplant, I was excited to read the latest by a favorite author, Heather Graham. Deftly weaving fact with a bit of fiction, Graham bolsters a murder mystery with the oddities and beauty that make Florida so intriguing. Maura and Brock are teen employees at a Florida resort with a haunting aspect, a tree famous for a long ago murder. Thought to be cursed, the resort hosts a ghost walk-and-talk featuring the tree and its tale, drawing countless guests over the years. But when Maura stumbles on another victim while hosting a walking tour, she and Brock are torn apart before their future even begins. Over a decade later, chance seems to draw them back to the resort when dead girls surface and others appear to be missing. Is fate bringing them back together? Or has an unspeakable evil designed a trap meant to keep Maura and Brock apart forever? As is her wont, Graham keeps you guessing until the very end of this well-written thriller.

A quick suspenseful read. Several possible suspects. Likeable hero and heroine. Reunion romance. Stand alone book, did miss my ghost that I associate with Heather Graham

I haven't read a Heather Graham book since I got my Kindle, so when the opportunity to snag an ARC came along, you betcha I jumped right on it. I've missed her books, time to get caught up again. Tangled Threat is a well-written romantic suspense with Ms. Graham's own brand of creepy spookiness. Maura is a video producer that worked at Frampton Ranch as a teen, until her parents whisked her away after a woman was found hanging from the History Tree. Brock is an FBI agent that was also a teen working at Frampton Ranch and was accused of being the murderer. Maura and Brock's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense along with a stellar cast of characters. I enjoyed every page of Tangled Threat and look forward to catching up on the Heather Graham books I've missed the past few years. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Maura is a video producer but twelve years ago she worked at a resort ranch in Florida. Brock worked summers there too and they were a couple. A tree called the History Tree had lots of stories and believed to be haunted. A woman is found hanging and Brock is arrested. Now Brock is in the FBI and is asked to investigate bones and missing women who have a connection to the ranch. Maura is there videoing a writer who likes spooky and creepy sites. Can Brock find the missing women before another disappears?
Great story with suspense and mystery. Read this book in one setting. Could not put it down. Second chance at love.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, the blurb grabbed my attention but the authors writing style really let it down. It was hard to follow who was saying what, and it tended to ramble on. I found it quite boring at times and struggled to finish it
