A definite must read. This book has everything you want in it. It's intriguing, edge of your seat intriguing. It's well written with strong characters. I give it 4.5 stars!

Tangled Threat is my first experience with Heather Graham's work. I thought this quick read to be pretty good. I give it four stars.

This author is one of my go too which I try to fit in between the ones I need to read for review. This one gripped me right away after the opening that gives you a bit of the foundation. Maura and Brock have a second chance also that you keep close eye on. The suspense in this keeps you guessing with each event bringing you closer to the truth. High caliber of writing from beginning to end giving us mystery readers a full palate when finished.

this is a good suspense story, it is a steamy story about tow people who where in love then had to leave each other, now they are back and there is an other murder. he is fbi and she does video on line. can they solve the mystery before one of them goes missing I could not put the book down very good I was given a copy of the book by netgalley but this is an honest review

3.5 Stars
This was an interesting story. I liked the legend of the History Tree and I enjoy second chance romance. Since this is a shorter length category romance, a part of me was wishing that the story was fleshed out more to add to the dark premise of the story. I thought that it got a bit choppy near the end and the ending felt rushed. So, I think it was a good, not great story.

I in general enjoy anything by Heather Graham, and overall I did like this one too. A little struggle to get started, as a lot of information thrown at the reader which made me want to skim a bit. Once I got into the story though I did enjoy it, and eagerly read through to the end to find out the reasons for. Would recommend, especially if you are familiar with the author. Good mystery romance.

I was excited to see this offered as an ARC on NetGalley but that excitement was short lived once I started reading this book. I really had to struggle to get through it and skimmed a lot of it because it was just boring. There was no pull, no anticipation to turn the pages to see what would happen next. I was not drawn to the story or characters in any way. The plot and its execution were dull, the characters were not interesting and the supposed romance was awful. There was no chemistry between the characters, no urgency on the storyline and it overall felt choppy, undeveloped and more like something a student would write for a book report.
I did like the premise of the book and Maura and Brock could have been wonderful characters had they been more developed and actually had explained backstories that made you want to learn more about them. Mentioning a brief summer fling that ended suddenly when Brock was arrested for murder would have been much more compelling had the author actually delved into both character’s emotional states and then what happened the 12 years between that summer and then seeing each other again at another murder, in the same location. There is no conflict, no turmoil, no arguments or conversations you would expect with the ‘what happened to you?’, ‘why did you never contact me?’, ‘did we mean nothing to each other?’, etc. Just a couple of looks, polite hellos and suddenly jumping into bed again after no resolutions on anything from their past; they are just suddenly a couple again. Even the circumstances that brought them together, the murders, were non-eventful. There was no intensity, suspense, urgency to solve the case or find the killer. It just all fell flat.
*I received an ARC from NetGalley and am providing my honest review.

Maura and Brock had no idea they were being manipulated by devious and mentally derange murderers who had orchestrated a bloody trail mix to their desires. The disappearance of the young women was so prevalent that the big guns, the FBI, had to be called in. I do not like the character Angie she talks too bloody much and acts like a bitch in heat. Other than that the rest of the cast is great and the storyline an absolutely intriguing and entertaining one. Although it did feel a bit rushed in the end.

I always enjoy books written by Heather Graham and this book was no different. Maura and Brock met at a summer camp years ago when they were both teen staffers. The History Tree was a big part of the ghost stories told at night about the hanging and curse years ago. When another staffer is found hung the curse begins all over again or did it ever stop? Lots of mystery, suspense, and romance between Maura and Brock who are once again back at camp investigating missing girls and murder. Would have given this 5 stars but I thought the ending was too abrupt. Recommended.

A great addition to Graham's books. I reviewed this under the Tangled Threat/Suspicious double book publication, but was unable to access the second book on that ARC download.

Tangled Threat, is a great "who did it" novel. I figured half of it out but was very surprised when I realized the rest. Maura is a great story teller, she really draws you in. It was almost like it was real.

The story is web of mystery that keep readers wanting more not just from the 2nd chance romance but why or what is causing people to be killed at the History Tree. The story was almost perfect until the end which for some readers might not make any since. The author tries to hard to intertwine characters but the ending is just too far fetch for readers to enjoy the ending. The different characters are will at times confuse readers as to who is who.
The story is decent read for those who love Heather Graham. The beginning started off strong the middle was slowing down and the end didn't make any since just to nicely tied up in a bow.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Harlequin Intrigue for the advance copy of Heather Graham Tangled Threat.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.
I love reading anything from Heather Graham and this one did not disappoint. I read the whole thing in one setting. The History Tree and missing women combine with old lost loves to make a great who mystery. I like the way she keeps the storyline going old and new. I highly recommend this book.

A Harlequin Suspense with reunited lovers separated by parents. A very well put together mystery that keeps you guessing. A HEA with a fast resolution. Maura and Brock were teen lovers who were ripped apart by a false accusation and well meaning parents. Years later they are reunited to solve a mystery that torn them apart.
We also find a cast of characters who are all suspicious and the final suspects were unexpected. Without giving too much away, I must say that this book took me back to when I was a teen and would devour these books on a daily basis. I enjoyed this and will always come back to this author and these types of books. We get a small history lesson, some clean love scenes and a book boyfriend we would all love to have.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for my honest review.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC. To be honest, I didn’t love the book, and I’d prefer not to leave a negative review.

Two teenagers working at a resort in Florida find a woman hanging in a tree. Afterwards, their relationship ends when one of them is arrested for the crime. Years later, they find each other again at the same resort. He is an FBI agent investigating the disappearance of three more woman. She is helping an author make a video about hauntings in Florida. When another girl goes missing, can they survive the threat to their lives and their love?
I loved this book. It kept me up late until I could find out the identity of the culprit, and I was pleasantly surprised. The end had a twist I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed the comfortable relationship between the main characters, they never stopped loving each other and I thought that was sweet. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

I received an ARC of Tangled Threat in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by Heather Graham. At times the story fast paced story, other times I I thought it dragged a bit. I did not think the 2 main characters had much chemistry. The rekindling seemed forced at times. There were a lot of twist and turns to find the guilty party, which I loved. A nice summer read. Will probably read something else by Heather Graham because I have heard such great things, otherwise I probably would not. Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to preview this book.

I hate to trash an author's novel, especially an author as successful as Heather Graham. And I won't trash this novel. But I will be honest.
I read scores of novels in the mystery/thriller/romance genres. The premise for this book sounded intriguing, especially to see how far many of these characters had come in life twelve years after a traumatic event. And for all of them to be brought together again under different circumstances... who wouldn't want to find out how they'd changed? Or not.
But the rich ideas waiting to be explored are skimmed. Everything feels superficial, like the reader is always expecting and wanting more, but you never get there. Conversations are so stiff, it's as if it's this author's first attempt at writing them. I cringed for these characters in more than one spot. Repetition regarding fact/folklore is repeated ad nauseum, like, we the readers weren't intelligent enough to get it the first, second, or third times. Which insulted our intelligence and made for a boring story. The writing itself at times made me cringe, giving it the feel of a rough first draft rather than a finished, polished novel. In one scene, Maura was sitting down. Then she stood. A paragraph later, she stood again, though she'd never sat back down.
The two characters with a romantic history fell flat as they "rekindled" their romance. I placed rekindled in quotes because I never felt any fire. In fact, I never felt much of anything because there wasn't any development of this current relationship. Any author with as much cred under her belt as Ms. Graham knows you have to make your audience feel emotion if you want to pull them through the story. Several times, I considered a DNF.
My only reason for giving two stars and not one is, I liked the twist at the very end. And I did finish the book. But there's no way I could recommend it, not without some serious rewrites.

A fun ride full of storytelling, history, romance and a love betrayed. Tangled Threat provides a fun mix of history and weird stories with the current day and actions of a serial killer. When all the individuals associated with a former death return to the scene we find the perfect storm of events taking place that take us on an adventure through Florida’s history of the unique and potentially haunted events.
The characters are well developed and the scenes are vivid. This history tree sounds quite unique and left me wondering if such a landmark exists! Parts of the story did seem rushed, but one would assume that is fitting with the cast of characters rushing to solve these missing people and deaths. I enjoy Heather Graham’s stories and love how she mixes history and ghosts/curses into the modern day crimes. This story was fun to read and left me wanting to research Florida ghosts and folklore!
Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin Intrigue and Heather Graham for the chance to read this book and share my opinion!

Ms Graham is one of my favorite authors. There is a smooth reading style to her storylines which makes it hard to put the book down. Maura And Brock we’re well defined and very strong characters. I liked the second chance romance this book offered for them. Ms. Graham also gives such vivid descriptions of the locale in her book.
Many thanks to Harlequin and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
