4.5 Hilarious, Romantic Stars!!
I absolutely loved it!!
I was completely engrossed by the story. Griffin and Cosy were perfect for each other, their chemistry is undeniable, and their attraction is off the charts. Their journey is all too consuming, sweet, hilarious, heartfelt, romantic and much more.
The storyline is terrific, great plot, and to top it off, all the characters are amazing, funny and believable. Helena Hunting once more, delivers a sexy, sweet, funny and cute installment in the fabulous, hilarious, and delightful Shaking Up series!
I highly recommend this, or any book in the series!!

4.5 stars
Making Up by Helena Hunting is such a good read.
I enjoyed the storyline, it's well written, well paced and I was so hooked I ended up reading it in one sitting.
I really connected with Griffin and Cosy, I enjoyed their friendship, I enjoyed their banter and I loved how they both made each other come to life. Griffin may have been older and seen more of the world but Cosy made him feel and enjoy life, something he never really noticed was missing in his life.
These two made me swoon and smile, I loved watching them fall in love, they were perfect for each other and totally deserved their happily ever after.
Making Up is a wonderful addition to the Shacking Up Series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all!

When Cosy spies a hot suit about to enter the adult toy shop where she works, she hustles herself up the sidewalk, as to not miss letting him in. A girl's gotta make that commission!
It's obvious Griffin is uncomfortable in the shop, he says he's there to buy gag gifts for his friend's bachelor party, but Cosy doesn't judge (much) and she needs that commission, so she swans around in her skimpy outfit, determined to give Griffin what he wants *wink wink*. But when he leaves her his number in hopes she calls him, there's no chance she'll actually go out with a customer. Who knows what kind of man he is...
Luckily for her, he turns out to be an absolute sweetheart, if one with some demons. Neither is looking for a serious relationship, though. She because she plans on finishing college finally, getting that internship, and traveling as much as possible. He because he was burned in the past, and he won't be in Vegas that long. Plus, there's that decade of years between them, and she just may still be holding onto her v-card. Even though what they start is supposed to be casual, we all know that casual rarely stays casual. The question is, whose heart will be more broken when their expiration date comes?
I FREAKIN LOVE Cosy & Griffin together!! They are so sweet together. And did I say hot?! Their chemistry fairly leapt out of my Kindle. WHEW! The Shacking Up world is one of my favorite series and Making Up is the best story yet. Griffin is swoony af, a curious blend of awkward and vulnerable with hints of alpha possessiveness when he thinks his claim on Cosy's heart and body is being threatened. And Cosy? That girl is a hoot. I loved her no filter mouth, how she didn't throw herself at him, but obviously was falling for him all along. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a rom-com as much as I did while reading Making Up. Now if Lincoln's story (Handle With Care) would magically appear on my Kindle right now, I'd be a happy woman!

4.5 STARS!!!
Aww... what a fun, cute read! I really liked it! I absolutely loved Griffin's character. I enjoyed watching him go from the ego-bruised, insecure guy, to the confident, alpha male. He and Cozy heated up the pages with their chemistry! Their story is the perfect story to get lost in and enjoy a bit of time away from reality.
I have adored all of the Mills men and their stories. The Shacking Up world is definitely one to dive in to. Like the others, Making Up will leave your heart full and a smile on your face.

This book will have you in tears from laughter, literally from the first page! Helena Hunting is one of my favorite RomCom authors - while I love how witty and charming her characters are, the best part is they don't have a filter, and that's a rare treasure these days. Cosy and Griffin are from very different worlds, with a remarkable age difference, and yet, it's clear to everyone but them how perfect they suit each other. If you're looking for a feel good book, look no further than Making Up!

Not a surprise here... I loved this book!! Helena’s books continue to make me smile! Her heroine’s all have special qualities that make readers want to be friends with them and the men...well, her men are the BEST book boyfriends around! Cozy and Griffin are no different. Making Up takes place in the Shaking Up world and I have to say, I’ve been looking forward to Griffin’s story for awhile now. This didn’t disappoint! There were some “WTF” moments and lots of hilariousness ( is that a word??) Some things were not what I expected and I loved that! Don’t tell Violet, but Cozy is my favorite of Helena’s characters. 🤫

Helena Hunting writes some of the best novels around! Making Up- the fourth standalone in the Shacking Up series- is laugh out loud funny! It's also originally heartwarming and beautiful. Helena can write ALL the words and make her readers fall in love. I promise you will as well! This series is by far my favorite of hers (although honestly I do also love the Pucked series).
If you haven't had the chance to read this series yet I have to ask, what are you waiting for? These characters are truly one of a kind and I can always count on them putting a HUGE smile on my face. Grab this one. It's a must read!

This was a fun, funny, sexy story. If you've enjoyed Helena Hunting's books before, you're going to enjoy this too. Not only will you laugh but there are also some WTF moments thrown in that make you go "plot twist." Loved the chemistry between Griffin and Cosy. It was there from the beginning and only grew as the story went on.

Griffin is my favorite Mills Brother!
He is private, sexy, closet freak, super duper cute when he meets Cosy Felton at her job.
Helena Hunting instantly draws us into these two characters as soon as they meet.
I was laughing, swooning hard for Cosy and Griffin in their adventures in Vegas fun living lifestyle of craziness.
Oh, yes a virgin adult toy expert and an older business man is a match made in Sin city heaven!
I was blushing just like Cosy & Griffin in all the outrageous, fun loving awkward moments these two had at getting to know each other.
Plenty of steamy times as well as hardcore chemistry that made Making Up my favorite book in this Shaking Up series.
Get ready to have Griffin capture your heart just like he did with Cosy and want to have tons of "Make Up" time with him as possible.

5 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒popped!

It’s always the quiet ones you have to watch out for.
Griffin is definitely the strong, silent type. That gives him a hint of mystery and intrigue. You don’t really know what to expect with him, and he tends to surprise you at every turn. He’s so much more than the fantastically gorgeous package he comes in. He’s so sweet, charming, awkward, funny, and just the right amount of cocky alpha to make him perfect. He’s also way out of his comfort zone when it comes to Cosy, for a multitude of reasons. She adds a spark to his life that I feel like he may have been missing.
Cosy is one of a kind, and I absolutely LOVE her! She’s quirky and unfiltered, often putting her foot in her mouth, but who doesn’t act a fool sometimes and say the wrong thing when there's a gorgeous man in the room? She's strong, independent, knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. She's simply a very refreshing character.
I really enjoyed this story. It had all the quirkiness and hilarity of a Helena Hunting novel that I’ve come to expect. And it has all the feels, too. Griffin and Cosy definitely don’t have an easy go of it, but the adventure is half the fun.
This is a fantastic book that I think you’re going to love.

FIVE "COSY" STARS!

Rom Com lovers, gather 'round! I hope y'all are ready.
One thing I can confirm about this author is that she delivers with every. Single. Book. Making Up can absolutely be read as a standalone and I loved every second of Cosy and Griffins' story.
This book was the PERFECT blend of swoon worthy moments, sexy times and laugh out loud comedy. Helena somehow manages to come up with insanely cool ideas and add in a touch of realism to help you vibe more with her characters and realise that whatever they are going through could and does very much happen.
I couldn't turn the pages fast enough and I'm eagerly awaiting Helena's next release, whatever that may be, because she always manages to leave me a little in awe and a lot in love, well after I've turned the last page!

This is Shacking Up book four but is a standalone, it's just in the same world. This book is just as amazing as all the other Helena books that I've read! It was a hilarious romantic comedy featuring Cosy and Griffin. These two were fantastic especially Cosy, I just loved her. There was an interesting twist in this book that caught me off guard. And just wait till you read the epilogue! Such a great read!!

Making Up is Cosy and Griffin's story. Cosy Felton is a 22 year old student who's been travelling around in between semester of college. She now lives in Vegas and works part time in an adult toy store.
Griffin Mills is 33 and an heir for his dad's hotel company which he works at. He's on a business trip to Vegas when he gets into a sex shop to buy an extensive lists of items for a bachelor party. He instantly crushes on the saleswoman and can't get her out of his mind. So what if they both don't want serious or that they don't plan to stick around? They still have to get to know each other, they can keep it casual, right?
This was a really fun read. The characters were interesting, layered and I liked them, the main ones as well as the side ones. I laughed quite a lot. The plot was very well paced but not in a predictable way, I was caught off guard by most of the twists. I still don't know how I feel about the age difference though. Like I get it, at the end of the day, they're just people but I'm 25 and I just wouldn't date a 36 years old. Especially since we're not at the same point in our lives... But I guess it depends not of your age but of your situation. I'm not reviewing anymore, but thinking while writing. Anyway, this was a perfectly good story which I would warmly recommend to anyone who likes romance novels. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I really love those characters. Also, I need Nevah to get a book at some point.

While attending college Cosy works in an adult entertainment store and dreams about travelling and living life to the fullest. She’s sweet, sexy and enjoys whatever life brings her way and that includes her new client Griffin.
Griffin is a hotel magnate who is in Vegas for business and has been tasked with buying the accessories for his friend’s bachelor party. He is a little uptight and whole lotta sexy and meeting Cosy may be just what he needs to pass the time in Vegas.
These two couldn’t be more different or more perfect for each other. She brings light and laughter to his life and she is intrigued by his strong yet sensitive side but when his time in Vegas comes to an end will their fling turn into forever?
Hot chemistry, humorous banter, great characters and just enough emotion to pull you in and have you invested in their happy ever after.

Making Up is a fantastic new story from Helena Hunting! A fellow Canadian so I automatically love her. Helena’s Pucked series is awesome and the other standalones in her Shacking Up series are some of my personal faves.
Characters: Cosy and Griffin were great main characters. Cosy’s nature was completely a surprise to me. She was super hardworking, stubborn, but also so much fun. Griffin was so multi-dimensional and it was such a joy to see his character unfold over the course of the story. With both of these characters, their initial interaction does not portray who they are, rather the mystery of their characters becomes more clear as you read more of the story.
Pacing: This story was paced amazingly well.
Setting: This story was primarily set in Las Vegas which was a fun location for this story. Cosy and Griffin’s very different lives lent themselves to showcasing how different Las Vegas is depending on your life.
Romance: This is an awesome age-gap romance between two people who are so deserving of this love. Cosy and Griffin bring different sets of baggage with them, that make this a relationship worth fighting for.

I have been really enjoying this series by Helena Hunting, each book brings a new set of loveable characters, in this book we meet Griffin and Cosy.
Griffin is adorable! From the very beginning he made his intentions clear and didn't hesitate in seekeing a relationship with Cosy, these two go through so much, every time everthing seemed to be going perfectly something would happen and . . .
Anyways, I really enjoyed this book, at first it was a bit hard to get into but after a couple of chapters is was hard to put down.

This book was hit or miss for me. There were times I found myself laughing and having a good time, as one expects with Helena Hunting. But then there were other times, the ones where I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the contrivedness of the age gap "issue". Oh and the drama.
I love romance and I can even get down with some capital D drama, but there is such a thing as too much. I felt like every time things were finally settled, up cropped another issue that needed to be dealt with so there was no peace. Ever. Cosy and Griffin were great together and the writing style was on point but I never quite warmed up to Cosy the way I expected to.
Making Up was an enjoyable read from an established author, just not my favorite of hers.

DNF at 30%. Brain cells dying.
It seemed like a lot of effort went into the meet-cute between Cosy and Griffin, which resulted in an amusing beginning, but then it felt like everything went downhill. The novel has some definite pacing issues.
And then there's Cosy, who seems like she is supposed to be a manic pixie. She is young and acts very young, and the relationship with a man 11 years older began to feel icky considering her immaturity.
For a rom-com, I expected more laughs. This was my first Helena Hunting book. Maybe her others are more appealing.

Griffin Mills, the oft referenced, yet never seen, Mills brother. Who is the eldest sibling of this prolific hotelier family? If you have met Bane and Lexy, what is their big brother, the calmest of the bunch, really like? Could be even be as wonderful and as perfect as he seems to be in the conversations where he is mentioned?
Yes. Yes, he is! He is all that and more!!!!
Griffin was a dream, and Cosy was his silver lining. Griffin did everything right, no drama, no missteps, he was living his life and it was fine, and he was okay with that. Cosy was living out her life in her way too. Surrounded by drama, she flowed along on the waves, making her way in a way that felt good and right to her. Their meeting was unorthodox, and their dating wasn’t what either normally did. It all fit though, and then the tides changed. Their differences seemed overwhelming at points, but they figured things out. The emotional ties they made were unexpected, and those took them both off-guard. But they were willing to try.
Griffin and Cosy were human, flawed, wonderful, and sexy. They were opposites attract, and that gave me some cringes, some tears, and some giggling out loud moments, “Living my best gay life” in rainbow glitter 😊 and the antics of our peeks at Lexington and Bancroft. And by the end, I was like them, deeply in love with these characters, who so richly deserved and needed the other, to balance the perfection that was their life!

I started reading Making Up just after sunset and finished it at sunrise. Getting hooked on a book at daft o’clock usually means trying to get a couple of hours shut-eye in before making a move. My modus operandi went to pot! The only way to stop my thoughts racing was to jot them down on paper. What. A. Read! The magnificent job Hunting did with the plot and character development kept me engrossed from the first page to the last word written.
It was a joy meeting Cosy. Yeap, her name is a tad strange but oh-so-fitting. Wise beyond her years, her outlook on life and career ambitions I found totally refreshing. Juggling a job with her studies works perfectly well; she doesn’t need anyone for anything and her foolproof plan for the future seemed to be unbreakable.
“Hold up. Her name is Cosy? Like, let’s get cosy by the fire?”
“Yeah, or tea cosy, but the British spelling.”
Griffin Mills wasn’t on her agenda but let’s be honest; how could one resist such an irresistible guy who wears a suit like a second skin! Where they’d first met wasn’t exactly a place which made him feel comfortable. He came across as a tad shy and lacking in confidence, but his savoir-faire kicked in pretty darn quick. Getting to know him; what he did for a living, what he wanted and his true thoughts enthralled me.
“…You need to relax, Suit, you’re too buttoned up.”
The scorching hot chemistry between the two of them is so realistic and so palpable, it felt like the pages were going to ignite! However, an unexpected surprise which couldn’t have been revealed at a better moment literally floored me…lol, and Griffin!
“You named your vibrator?”
“He’s been around for years, and he never lets me down. I figured he deserved one.”
The most dramatic part of the story was held back until nearly three-quarters of the way into the read, throwing the protagonists and myself into a turmoil. Emotions run high and Cosy experiences feelings she’d never thought possible. Griffin. Well, he’s bloody furious with the whole debacle and having trouble finding a solution. Loved the advice from his cousin who I might add is gorgeous but the question is, will Griffin’s moral compass influence his decisions.
“You’re talking about her like you’re in a relationship with her.”
“It’s not a relationship.”
I floved the age gap. Despite not being one of the most important issues for either of them, Cosy teases Griffin quite a lot. Other concerns take precedence on a much more emotional level. I understood how Cosy felt, seeing as she’s so independent and I loved how Griffin respects her wishes.
“Yes. I’m your girlfriend and you’re my sugar daddy.”
Griffin rolls his eyes. “It’s a decade, Cosy. It’s not that big of a deal.”
“I know. I just like how much it irritates you when I say things like that.”
Cosy’s older sister is a case and a half and although she’s not very reliable, she does step up to the plate in a critical moment. Griffin’s folk are adorable, except there’s one black sheep in the family who knocks everyone for six with their deceptive ways. Won’t go into details but I’d gladly have given this individual and a couple more a hearty Kindle bashing!
Anyone who’s read my reviews knows that dialogue is my favourite thing and here Hunting has delivered in spades. This book gave me all the feels, lots of laughs, has the right amount of angst and regardless of the title which speaks for itself, I really enjoyed not being quite sure how the story was going to pan out. Bravo Hunting!
