A very useful reference guide for learning or brushing up on essential career and business skills and scenarios, written in concise, easy to read chapters. I will definitely refer to this one again in the future.

I selected this book to read as I have a relative embarking on their working life and I would like to be able to assist in their search for work, and being self-employed, I have not been down this road for many years.
Patrick is clearly very skilled and knows what he is writing about, but I felt that he has tried to cram so much into one book, which in reality will cover a number of years of ones career (to go from applying for a first job to be in a position of managing people) that I am not quite sure who is the target audience for this book.
Having said that, I myself did in fact find find the book interesting, if somewhat lightweight, as it gave me up to date information regarding applying for jobs, which is what I was seeking for my relative and it was helpful to be reminded of tips for management which is needed in my day to day work.
Thanks to NetGalley for a Kindle copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
