Lost in Me by Lexi Ryan is book One in the Here and Now Series. Hannah has amnesia and she wakes up trying to remember her past and her trying to piece her life back together. Add in two men, engaged to Max but drawn to Nate as well . This story has some deep story line issues. You really feel for Hannah as she tries to piece her life together.

The story is full of angst and emotion with some cheating in it. This book is a love triangle that does end in a cliffhanger.

It’s a great start to the series thank you netgalley and Lexi Ryan

Great story and good writing. Lexi Ryan has great character detail that you can really imagine seeing them as you read the story. There are enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages till the very end. Can't wait till the next book in the series.

I honestly did not know what to expect when starting this read. But, I have to say that I really liked it.
This story kept me guessing, right to the end!
Lost in Me starts off with quite a strong flame, Hanna waking up in a hospital bed with no memory of most of the past year. No memory of dating the guy she has had a lifelong crush on. No memory starting her own business. Certainly no memory of getting engaged.
The book has lots of emotion and some angst. It is very well written and flows really well.

Lexi Ryan brings us the story of Hanna, Max, and Nate. Hanna wakes up in the hospital after an accidental fall down some stairs with the memories of the last year gone. She does not remember starting her own bakery, working hard to get her body weight down, getting engaged to Max, and meeting the mysterious singer Nate. While her family and friends encourage her to start wedding plans, Hanna tries to make sense of the bits and pieces of her memory that do come to her with her reality. Their story has a sprinkling of the past mixed with the present, but never enough to get the whole picture. Lexi keeps you wanting to read more to find out what happens next in their story.

Book 1 gives you the background information you need so you can understand where these characters came from to see the changes they have made since then. You see how Max, Hanna, and their friends grew up together and Max was the boy every girl in school wanted to be with but she never did because of her body weight. You see how Hanna and Nate meet and feel the instant chemistry and connection. Lexi gives you enough to root for each guy even with their flaws. This is just the beginning of their story. It continues for two more books.

I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to seeing where their story takes these three characters in the next two books. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All opinions and thoughts are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Social Butterfly PR for this privilege.

An interesting premise, but ultimately unimaginative plot-wise.

I really loved the idea of the heroine experiencing retrograde amnesia - waking up to find her - once disappointed and depressing - life to be seemingly perfect. Hanna lost 11 months of her memory, but she's now fifty pounds lighter, the owner of a bakery, and engaged to her childhood crush.

When Hanna discovers more about this "new and improved" self, she immediately discounts the glaringly obvious warning signs that things are not at all perfect. I found it extremely difficult to empathize with a character who remained obstinate about the serious issues of depression, eating disorders, and apparent affairs because she liked her new skinny body and was with her dream man. While sympathetic to the very real issue of self-esteem issues tied to body type, I'm much more interested in body confident heroines who don't hate themselves.

Her health is in danger and the circumstances of her fall are beyond suspicious, but she chooses to ignore all of this in favor of going with the flow. Now, I understand the appeal of getting exactly what you always dreamed of - I just couldn't forgive have obstinate she was being about her circumstances.

The romance between Hanna and Nate was pretty tainted by the fact that she was being intimate with the very suspicious Max.

The ending was predictable and unsatisfying since it seemed to obvious to everyone except for the heroine.

Quick, entertaining read. I liked it. Some stuff was a bit odd. But I still enjoyed it. It had secrets, passion, scandal, and mystery.

I loved this book and immediately want to read the next in the trilogy! The story begins with the main character Hanna discovering she was in an accident and has memory loss from the past 11 months. We quickly find out Hanna is entangled in a love triangle, has been distant from her family, started a new business and has lost quite a bit of weight - none of which she remembers. The story unfolds bit by bit as Hanna’s memories start to slowly resurface. The characters were lovable and well written. There were plenty of tender moments for the romantics sprinkled with sexy scenes for those who want an ounce of steam! And then we are smacked in the face with a major cliff hanger! I would definitely recommend this book to romance fans and general fiction fans as well!

Lost in Me
(Here and Now #1)
by Lexi Ryan

Kindle Edition, 216 pages
Published April 6th 2014 by Ever After, LLC (first published April 5th 2014)

Goodreads synopsis:
The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost...perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don't remember dating, attempting to run a business I don't remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don't even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

4.5 Stars

This is the first book in the Here and Now series. Technically, this series is one over-reaching story. I wish they wouldn’t cut them up like that. But it seems to be a popular thing to do on Amazon right now especially with the more sexy books. This concept would have been worth forking out more dough to get the entire thing. I would have bought that in a second.

Basically a girl falls and hits her head and when she awakens it is a year later. She has the perfect body she has always wanted, started the perfect business and has not one but TWO hot guys wanting to do amazing things with her body. What’s a girl to do? But she can’t remember the previous year. How had she become engaged with Max? Who was the mysterious rocker Nate? And what will happen when he two worlds start crashing together? Will her memory get in her way or lead her to the life of her dreams?

Like I said, I like this concept. I was hooked from the first page. But this story, Lost in Me, is only the first part. I will have to buy the other sections of this to figure out how it all ends but I a willing to do that since I am so intrigued. This leaves you on a pretty big cliffhanger and if you are anything like me, you will need to know more too.

Yes, this is a sexy book but it is not trash like some people tend to think. There is a real story here. Lexi Ryan writes a nice story. It follows all the story structure rules, It pushes the suspense and gives you the angst to boot not to mention the romance but that is a given with a book like this. I wonder if Hannah’s twin sister will get a spin off series to go along with this one. Don’t make any assumptions about the guys in the book. The closer you get to the end the more you realize you don’t know anything at all.

If you like a sexy romance with a real plot, you will love this.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

WOW!
I was hooked from page one!
Not your typical hot/sex story! A real story here, not just sex sex sex...
A girl is in hospital with amnesia, can't remember getting skinny (how, why...) or being with the man she's had a crush on for years... too good to be true... or why she would wake up in bed with someone touching her... who's not her man...

Well written, interesting, intriguing... ... ...

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

TW: cheating, eating disorder

Less than 20% in and there was already an interesting twist. Didn’t see that coming, spiced things up a little. I felt like there was a lot of fat shaming going on. The main character was a previous fat girl and she was just really negative about it.

We find out quickly more information about the twist. I wish it would have drug on a little bit further to enhance the suspense but was very happy with the outcome.

I love me a good love triangle. I found myself rooting for Nate.

The last 20% of the book was fast paced with several twists and I couldn’t put the book down.

The ending was a little predictable but shocking none the less.

4.25 stars

This book grabbed me from the first chapter. I was interested in how Lizzy was going to help her get her crush and then we're thrown straight into the next chapter and she's suffering from amnesia and can't remember anything of the last year but her life has changed considerably.

I just HAD to keep reading so I could unravel the mystery of what had happened to Hanna and to figure out how everything had changed in those months she couldn't remember. I read this in one sitting, I was that addicted.

Being a bigger girl myself I was invested in Hanna getting her guy. I wanted her to be happy and body confident. But figuring out who was the right guy when she can't remember anything was hard. I was invested in it. In her.

And then those last couple of chapters... I was in floods of tears towards the end.

Then that last sentence turned it into a cliff-hanger ending and I now NEED to read the next book to see what happens next with Hanna. That's my reasoning for knocking the story down half a star. I was looking forward to a happy ending for them and currently they haven't got one.

There are also still several unanswered questions: What happened the day she fell down the bakery stairs? Who's the anonymous investor in the bakery? (Though we may already know the answer to that one).

Off to buy book 2.

This book contains so much sex, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I read this book easily in a few hours, and I though the story was super intriguing with the amnesia aspect (it reminded me of the movie The Vow). If you don't like love triangles, then you probably wouldn't enjoy this book, but I really liked how this story came together and how you really didn't know which guy to cheer for. The ending was a cliff hanger though, so can't wait for the next book to be released!

Hanna has always been insecure about her size 16 curves, but people don’t see her the same way she sees herself. Her twin sister is slim, trim, blonde and hot, so she decides to get Hanna’s childhood crush to take her sister out on a date. A year of things happen and Hanna wakes up in a hosiptal room, having fallen down a flight of stair, an engagement ring on her finger, and a huge case of amnesia. It seems that the last year was a dream becuase she finds herself engage to the MAX Hallowell. Her lifelong crush. All is well until some strange tattooed guy that she doesn’t know crawls into her bed to seduce her, and she has no idea who the heck he is. Can she get her memory back before she weds the right guy while being involved with the wrong guy on the downlow? Lexi Ryan creates adorable characters that had me reading all three books deep into the night.

Though Lost In Me is billed as book 1 in the Here and Now series, I didnt realize it wouldn't stand alone. It's a F/M/M romance and I appreciated Lexi Ryan's respectful treatment of the lifestyle. Her characters are compelling, and their journey is entertaining. There is plenty of chemistry and passion. My personal preference is not to read cliffhanger books, I really like closure, so Lost In Me got 3.5 stars.

Hanna has amnesia. She wakes up one day and she doesn't remember the last months of her life.
So imagine her surprise when she finds out that she is engaged to Max. He has been her crush since forever.
And not only that. Apparently, she is having an affair!! With a rock star!!! Hanna starts to wonder how was her relationship with Max. If she was having an affair, something was wrong, right?
Hanna must decide if she marries Max or if she wants to be with Nate.
I liked the story but it ends in a super cliffhanger!!!!

This book is swoon worthy it is that good it has so much angst and drama and I am here for it. Hannah is trying to figure out her life and she has two guys that want her like come on that sounds like a great story and it was but it ends on a big cliffhanger that was the only bad part other than that I loved it

Wait, what? I didn't realize this was a serial or multi volume book. I was reading along and boom it was over with some serious cliff hangers.
This is a sad book full of turmoil. The heroine has amnesia and man trouble. Yet it's a good story, well written and engaging. I got totally hung up in Hanna's life.
I don't read books written in first person, but it didn't bother me at all. In fact, I feel like it added to the story. I also never read serials, but I'm absolutely going to read the others this time.
If a book can make me ignore my hard and fast rules then it must be good, right?
