There’s so much anger in today’s social framework, mostly based around politics and the ever-increasing stress we’re all dealing with. Listening to others with compassion can be difficult at times, especially if they have a completely different worldview. But the only way to improve society is by embracing a more compassionate listening approach.

This book examines our current reality, along with the need for compassion. At the same time, it’s also made clear that we have to be willing to walk with our anger to truly get to the other side. Well worth reading.

I liked this book. I have a son that deals with anger issues, so this was very helpful to both him and me.

This book was a lot like the motivational interviewing techniques I have been trained in at work. Because I have used MI for years: OARS, cycle of change, affirmations etc, I felt this book was more of a review for me overall. However, if this was a new topic for you, it's great information to use at work and in your personal life. It's also not like other anger books I have read in the past. A different perspective is always good to introduce and i like the statement about practicing and it will become habit.
