This book wasn't for me. The storyline was interesting and the book was well written, but I had a very hard time getting into it, which might be just a personal preference thing. I can see how people who enjoy fantasy, especially a younger middle grade audience, would enjoy this book more than I did.

An amazing book full of world travel and characters that you can really get in touch with! This book was one that I had eagerly awaited and it sure didn't let me down! You'll want to make sure that you read every word. I am not sure which part I enjoyed more, the dragon, or the fire?! It was all just magical and astounding. Well done!

Intrigue in an unknown land where knights and dragons roam. This book was an interesting read, and I enjoyed the different aspects of the characters and how they worked together through the story.
The inclusion of a Christian fiction aspect made it different from many that I've read and made me appreciate the dexterity of the author.
I received a copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

The synopsis interested me, I like the fantasy genre and was excited to read it. However I couldn't get into it.
The plot is good, the characters and space are very detailed and have many action parts.
Personally didn't like much but I'm sure there must be those who like it

It's not a terrible story. However, it reads much like a book for middle school aged children. I couldn't finish it, because it didn't capture my attention. I'm sure there are other people who will love it, but it wasn't for me.

It turned out that I just couldn't get into this book. It happens. There was nothing wrong with the story, it was just a personal taste thing.

Dragon's Fire by Tiger Hebert. Hard to get into for me, felt like it jumped between viewpoints without taking the time to introduce them. Well written but hard to read for me.

As people rises to war under the evil influence of a black dragon, others in the land must put aside differences and doubt to stop the darkness from overtaking everything.

I read the summary of this book and wanted to read it since it is a genre I like to read. Though the plot is good, I wasn’t able to get into it. The story had adventure and generally moved well, it just seemed to be words on a page instead of something that I could immerse my imagination in.

The places and characters are well detailed, maybe a bit too well in some places. I think shortening some of the description segments would have helped the story from slowing down at times. I also think that removing the edgier parts, like describing how little clothing was worn and the several cuss words, would make the book better.

Dragon’s Fire has potential, but it needs some polishing. The positive messages of faith, forgiveness, and putting aside differences are there, but they can get lost among everything else.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Dragon's Fire feels more like a first draft than a finished one. It has excellent potential but the author has allowed the want of thrilling language and broad descriptions to take over the need for depth. It also feels too much like a video game for me to comfortably settle into the story. With a little elbow grease, this tale could certainly flourish. Perhaps the author could consider publishing a revised addition?
