i had a lot of anticipation for this book, and i do think that it ended up meeting the hype that i had. it wasn't my favorite, that probably goes to the first book, but i was happy to finally see Robby and Matt end up happy.

Really enjoyed this book. Jenn Davis is a new author to me and I think she shows alot of talent. By the end of the book I couldn't put it down. I dont normally read MM but im so glad I got a chance to read Matt and Robby journey. 4 solid stars

I really enjoyed this book. Though it's the third in a series, I read it as a stand alone and it reads well without having read the previous two books. Jen Davis has chosen to tell this M/M Romance in the 'He said- he said' style (very common lately) alternating between Robby and Matt. Both men have everything to give but both also have to overcome their own unique baggage they bring to the table. I really found the characters' backstories relatable and completely engrossing. Many (gay men in particular) will totally identify (on some level) with Matt and Robby's pasts and how it affects their future. Brick, Kyle and Patty are also really engaging characters. Robby is more about romance and building a true connection and lasting relationship than it is about sex. There are some steamy moments too.

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

For an unbelievable bit of fluff, this book is near-perfect. I don't recall most of it and probably because it's like every other new adult book out there. In a few instances, the story is bolstered by dragging dialog and melodrama that belongs in Days of Our Lives.

Robby is a man with a very chequered past. He meets single dad Matt who eventually (predictably) has to "choose" between Robby and his son whose a pawn in a revenge fantasy from Matt's ex. This book dragged and I remained largely unbothered because Matt and Robby do get their happily ever after. In such stories, it's the journey that matters. And in this one, the journey was sadly boring.

But for a bit of escapism, it's not the worst.

I loved it! So many twists and turns that I was not expecting. Robby was an amazing character and kept me interested from beginning to end.

This is a first book from the series, did I loved it, no, but I enjoyed reading it. It has an interesting plot and interesting characters. They both have the troubled past that shaped them in a person they are today. Robby and Matt connect on a deeper level and in the end, Robby has a person in his life who loves all of him and is prepared to fight him. I am not ok with all the things that happen in the book and is tragic because that sort of thing really happens in real life. Book full of drama, family drama, love, and HEA.

4.5 Stars

Robby is a superb boss/employee romance. This is my first read by Jen Davis, despite it being the third book in her Cooper Construction series.

Obviously it revolves around a construction crew. Through the use of multiple pov, the reader learns everything about these messy and complicated men.

Robbie's a nerd at first glance, but he's hiding so much pain and hurt from the world. Robbie's long crushed on his introverted co-worker, Matt.

This story is that of an ex-addict who's struggling. It's the story of a single dad who's fighting for custody, just trying to get enough money to help his mother and son.

Robbie and Matt are are complex and loveable men, who desperately need one another. Both men are full of tough life experiences, and together they can help each other heal. Adding to the fun is the wonderful addition of a great friends unit who include them and support them everyday.

Jen Davis' writing is great, with multi-layered characters, fluid writing, realistic dialogue, and a fantastic storyline. After enjoying the emotional journey in Robby tremendously, I hope to get a chance to read the previous books in the series.

Robby works with new guy Matt at Cooper Construction. His past is dark and painful for him. He doesn't like to talk about it. Robby isn't shy about his attraction to Matt. He wants to move on with his life and include Matt in it. These two were sexy, strong and lovely. The entire series has been wonderful to read and I am looking forward to more from this author.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and am leaving a review.

I received this arc from Netgalley for an honest review. I found this book to be too slow to start with and I was so frustrated with the main characters that it was not enjoyable.

I'm not sure what I was fully expecting with this book but I was surprised by the pull. This book is such a vivid reminder that love TAKES many shapes and forms.

This was darker than I thought it would be, but I enjoyed the story and it had sweet and funny parts to balance it out. Robby has been through more than any person should have to, but he pulled himself out and is now pretty happy and successful. Matt is struggling to keep afloat, paying for his son's necessities and helping his mom with her bills. They had a cute relationship and I liked that they both helped each other be stronger and fulfilled. My favorite aspect of the story was the family aspect, the idea that even if your birth family sucks, you can make a family with people who love you as you are. I haven't read the first two books in the series, but I loved Kane and Brick and their protectiveness over Robby. I will definitely be checking out their books as soon as I can!

When I requested this novel I was into the ideal of reading this novel but I discovered that I was unable to provide feedback on this book due to the series being archived prior to download and file/download issues. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience of not being to review and thank you for taking the time to provide me an ARC of this novel.

The third book in Cooper Construction bring us Robby’s story. I really like this one, Robby and Matt are well suited characters and their story is heart filling as well as heart breaking. It’s finding their way forward regardless of the obstacles, a great story and well worth the read.

From the first book in this series, I was itching to get to Robby's book. I couldn't wait to read this, and now I wish I had.

I don't know if I wasn't in the right space to read this, but this was not what I'd hoped it would be. The story starts with the Robby I grew to adore from books one and two, and he turned into someone I couldn't recognize. Not that his character changes so much that he was unrecodnizable, but his progression felt chunky and rushed. The whole book was messy and felt off. I also felt like his relationship with Matt was rushed in a way that didn't feel authentic. I just could not get into the whole thing. Parts were nice but also so cliché, making it harder to like. Add in a couple side characters that were really unlikable and just horrid, this was another no for me.

I read the first two books in the Cooper Construction series (Brick and Kane) some months ago and have been keeping an eye out for book number three. We met sweet Robby in those first two books and learnt about his crush on fellow construction worker Matt. I wasn't sure how their story, if it indeed would be their story, would play out. Obviously, when I saw the book available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read it and find out.
In the first two books, Robby comes across as a young lad, quite naive, but with a heart of gold. It soon becomes clear that while that might be the face that he displays to the world, there is far more lurking beneath.
I really enjoyed this story, I liked Robby when we first met him, but as his character developed in this story, he was even more likeable. Matt has not had it easy either and while it's not nearly so dark as Robby's past, it still left plenty for him to deal with. I also really liked the way that this book dealt not only with a homosexual relationship and one of part of the couples' first foray into that but also with someone who had really found themselves sexually attracted to someone in the past. (In this age where we try and give everything labels, then I believe that Matt would be considered Demisexual) it added an interesting dimension to the storyline.
Overall this is really quite a sweet story and one that I really enjoyed.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I don't usually enjoy MM stories. Not that I have anything against it but I like to put myself in the heroine's role. I took this book anyway because I enjoyed Kane and Brick so much. I knew of Robby and Matt and admit I was curious how their story would play out.

Davis does a really good job of making both men very relatable. They've both got issues. Mountains of issues. Matt's not even sure he's gay. Robby is deeply ashamed of what life has forced him to do. How can they find the love they deserve?

Robby's history is heart-wrenching. I really enjoyed watching him blossom into a new man. He made a lot of positive changes but the best comes out in him when he finds the Q-Center and learns he doesn't have to always please everyone. Life isn't all smiles and he doesn't have to pretend it is. He's also able to take his life experiences and use them to help others get out of their bad situations.

Matt needs to grow too and we watch him do so in this book. He's got to deal with his former best friend/son's mother, he needs to finish his degree and earn more money.

This story was full of suspense but more so a study in overcoming and creating the future you want. It was a good read.

4 1/2 Stars!

Robby’s parents kicked him out when he was 16, so Robby had to do unimaginable things in order to survive living on the streets. But it’s been 5 years since he picked himself out of the gutter and changed his life around. Robby has worked with Matt for over a year and even though he knows nothing about Matt, he can’t stop thinking about him. Matt doesn’t know what he wants out of life ... the only thing he knows is that he loves his son and won’t let him down.

From the beginning of this series, we hear about Robby and his crush on Matt. I couldn’t wait to hear Robby’s story and I wasn’t disappointed! Robby is just as sweet as I knew he would be. And even though Matt is clueless about his own sexual orientation, I loved how he just couldn’t resist Robby and trusted him completely. A great addition to this series.

Readers who have followed the Cooper Construction series from the beginning, have met the sweet and endearing Robby and known about his infatuation with his co-worker Matt. Unfortunately for Robby, Matt has remained oblivious. But as a single Dad, Matt has more important things on his mind than romance; earning a living, raising his son and knowing that relationships are just too hard are just a few. But maybe with the right incentive, Matt will learn that taking a chance can have unexpected and rewarding results.

It was lovely to see a M/M story included in this series and the telling was mindful, respectful and gratifying for all involved. I thoroughly enjoyed these characters and was captivated by their fragile souls and tentative move from friends to lovers. A wonderful addition to the series and a winner for me!

ROBBY is the third instalment in Jen Davis’ contemporary, adult COOPER CONSTRUCTION erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women who work for Cooper Construction. This is foreman’s assistant Robby Jordan, and construction worker /architect student / single father Matt York’s story line. ROBBY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: ROBBY contains scenes of M/M sexual situations as well as reference to abuse, drugs, alcohol and self-harm that may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Robby and Matt) ROBBY follows the building relationship between co-workers foreman’s assistant Robby Jordan, and construction worker /architect student / single father Matt York. Robby Jordan has been attracted to his co-worker for close to a year but single father Matt York is oblivious to Robby’s attraction, as well as his own tempered sexuality. Having always considered himself asexual, but desperate to prove otherwise, Matt’s one and only sexual experience resulted in his now one year old son. Lonely and needing a friend, Matt accepts Robby’s offer for online gaming, an offer that brings the two co-workers closer together. What ensues is the building relationship, romance and love between Matt and Robby, and the potential fall-out as Robby’s past conflicts with potential custody arrangements between Matt and the mother of his child.

Robby’s past is mired in abuse and rejection; alcohol and drugs but our hero has struggled to move on with his life including helping those who are unable or unwilling to help themselves. Matt battles his direction in life including his attraction to a man when he, himself, had never considered himself bisexual or gay. Using their work relationship as a conduit towards friendship and love, Robby begins a slow seduction of the man he has lusted after for over a year.

The relationship between Robby and Matt is one of immediate attraction but Matt struggles with who he is, and what he wants. Robby’s past is dangerous and dark, but a past that continues to haunt him both day and night. The $ex sense are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Brick and Olivia , Kane and Amanda; Matt’s friend and mother of his child Patty, and their son Jimmy, as well as a number of gay, lesbian, bi and transgendered youth who struggle for a place to live, and feel protected from life. The requisite evil has many faces.

ROBBY is a story of family, friendship, rejection and love; of finding where you belong no matter the path or choices that lie ahead. The premise is heart breaking, emotional and engaging; the romance is sensitive and provocative; the characters are broken, wounded but energetic and spirited.

Robby is the third book in the Cooper Construction series. It can be read as a stand-alone, which I did.
Robby is the foreman assistant in the contruction company with a troubled past and an obvious crush on his co-worker Matt. Matt is a shy, confused single parent with a lot of baggage.

One of the things I liked about the book was the plot (though a little messy at some points). I liked how the story unfolded and how the relationship between Robby and Matt was developed. I enjoyed the bond between Robby, Brick and Kane, you don't see friendships like that everyday.
The idea of Robby and Matt founding one another and, even though everything they went through, getting to love each other was really exiting. The thing is, I'm not sure I believed it.

Unfortunately the book is riddled with clichés and a few mistakes. No one is saying 'stop trying to top from the bottom' during sex, It's not believable. And the word 'lover' it's featured an unhealthy amount of times.

It was a good idea that didn't quite delivered
