I had mixed feelings about this historical romance. Amelia is portrayed as spoiled, reckless and fickle. By the time the story ends she's on her third husband. She's unsure what she wants and manipulates those around her to when she does want something. David seems immature as well. Uncertain of Amelia's feelings for him leads him to resent her for her intial rejection but continued infactuation in secret. Just wasn't impressed with these two and the plot.
