Natalie would always remember the plane crash that led to a sultry passionate night that resulted in their daughter. Iman always wondered what happened to the sultry blonde this couldn’t make a decent cup of coffee. Finding out he had a daughter was a surprise that brought him the happiness he always desired. Great start to a new series.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was easy to read as are all Leslie Norths books. It was predictable but the characters were interesting. There was plenty of description to keep me interested . I do recommend that you read this book.

This is the first in Karawi Sheikh series and I loved it. The heroine is so strong and relatable, the Sheikh is a great man and there is a subplot of palace intrigue as well. I love the character of the Sheikhs mother as well, she is so loving and caring of her family.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So, it seems that all the books from the Leslie North factory are going to be about a couple of strangers that doesn’t know how to play Tetris following the basic safety measures. That is just peachy… said the reviewer sarcastically. I have five more!! FIVE!! OK, it is my fault for clicking the Request buttons in NetGalley like a crazy person. Now I need to put on my responsible pants and review the books I was given, no matter how dreadful that task looks like right now.

This time we jump into a plane to meet Natalie, a flight attendant in private flights who desperately needs the money to pay for her mother’s cancer treatment. That’s why she tries to put on a smile to deal with Iman, the Sheikh (a.k.a. Prince) of a small kingdom who is very opinionated about her coffee making skills. In truth she just wants to tell him what is what to his face, but she must control herself. Any pretenses are drop when the plane has an accident and both of them get stranded in a remote hangar. The banter becomes passion, but heavy is the weight of the crown and Natalie has to leave Iman’s kingdom in not the best way possible. Six years later, they meet again…

The length of this book is its main strength. There wasn’t a big story to tell, so more pages would have added more annoyance to the reader isntead of enjoyment. As it is, the size of the book is perfect. Concise, direct, without useless detours and always focus on what it wants to tell. The story itself is rather simple and barely remarkable, so trying to strech it would have been a really bad idea. At least, that length work in favor of the plot thread about Natalie going to Iman’s kingdom to work for him.

Sadly, I can’t say the same for the romance. It lacks development everywhere. Leaving aside the first passionate encounter, where the adrenaline after the accident was high and the good judgement low, the next interactions between Iman and Natalie are surprisingly few. I’m not saying just in the more carnal sense… Any kind of contact between the two of them is drastically cut down due to their jobs. When do they get to know each other? How can they be so sure about their love is they have barely talked to each other? I can’t buy the platonic love that is described in the book. Too much, too soon.

As for the characters… I guess they are both OK, but I don’t really feel that I have got to know them. Iman would be a great characters if he wasn’t royalty. That fact constraints him too much. Always being careful about what he says, what he does… But with Natalie he is more relaxed and we get to read a more enjoyable individual. Too bad the flight attendant is not around that much. Natalie by her own is kind of annoying. I barely understand her. She is miserable for the most part of the book, what adds to the previously mentioned unbelievable love. If you don’t like the life in the palace, just go. You don’t need it! Why do you choose to be constantly worried for a guy you barely know? At least, when they are together she regains some self-esteem and their conversations are rather funny. On her own… it’s a pain to be witness of her rather low morale.

And talking about reading pains… In which mind was a good idea to take your six-year-old daughter to a country that has barely got over traditional values that don’t leave in good light women’s freedoms among other things? For a visit it would have been OK, but liiving there? The first order Natalie gets is: Don’t leave the palace alone! Try to stick to traditions. Do not embarras yourself (a.k.a. embarras Iman and his kingdom…). I can’t believe that any sensible mother would remove her daughter from her school and friends to be privately tutored in a palace of a kingdom whose culture is drastically different from what she knows… In the book Iris adapt pretty well, but that is just ficition… I bet that would be a traumatic experience for a kid that age. So yeah, reading that bugged me badly and I couldn’t shake the absurdity of the whole deal.

With this book, the good and the bad balance each other to make a light reading for a slow afternoon during the summer. As long as you are not looking anything meatier, this story could be a good choice for you. In the following books, we will meet Iman’s brothers who, it seems, will be as sexually reckless as him…

A one night stand between Prince Iman and Natalie has consequences. Unknown to Iman, Natalie has their beautiful daughter that she must raise by herself, due to the lies that were told by Iman's uncle. As they meet up again 6 years later, they find their attraction is still as strong as ever. Iman's mother realizing who the child is, will be the catalyst that will bring about a HEA for them all. Sweet story to enjoy for that lazy afternoon, **I was gifted a copy of "The Sheikh's Surprise Heir" from Netgalley & Relay Pub. My opinion is freely given.** 4.25 Stars!

It is because of Leslie North that I enjoy reading these 3 book stories! She has made them take my stress filled life unstressful! I get absorbed into her characters and can not put the book down. Now on to book 2!

Six years ago, Natalie, a flight attendant, was involved in a plane crash with Prince Iman Karawi. Even though she was attracted to him, she found him rude. That is, until he was chivalrous and attentive to her after the accident. Then, Iman’s uncle told her that she was not welcomed and paid for her to disappear from Iman’s life. Now, she has been raising Iman’s baby by herself, and living paycheck to paycheck. But, after a chance meeting with Iman again, can she resist Iman’s romantic overtures, and protect the secret of her daughter’s conception?
I really liked this cute romance. It’s every girl’s dream to meet a handsome prince, and here, Natalie shows him grit and spirit under very stressful circumstances. I loved the romantic interludes between the main characters. It wasn’t overly sexual, but seemed tasteful and loving. And, I love happy endings! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Natalie is a flight attendant and she works on an American Airliner and it crashes with Prince Iman Karawi and some of his associates and guards on aboard with other crew members. When his people wanted to get him out and to safety first and then send help to Natalie then Prince was against it. He ordered them to go ahead and get help and then come back for them. While they were gone him and Natalie talked about their lives and got close in the few hours they had alone and ended up sleeping together. An easy and light one time read.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Cute romance with Crown Prince Iman and Natalie, a flight attendant that meet on a doomed flight that crashes and they share a night together which results in Iris.

Both have the wrong idea when Natalie is forced to leave and Iman is busy taking over the country after his father dies. Fast forward, to present day and they meet again but Iman can't understand why Natalie is so angry with him!

I enjoyed the story except the night that Iman and Natalie spend together before his bride to be, Bari, arrives. I guess I am kind of annoyed with Natalie that she had so little self-respect that she sleeps with Iman when he is going to marry another woman!

I also did not understand why Iman's mother had the guard leave Natalie when she was at Bari's palace. Did she want Natalie to have problems so that Iman had to rescue her? That kind of doesn't make much sense to me!!

Loved the ending and their HEA, and looking forward to the next book in this series!

With hotty Sheikh Hamdan from Dubai now married his millions of female instagram followers have to look elsewhere to dream. And that can be done with the new book by Leslie North. Nothing. I have seen other planecrashes with sheikhs on Amazon but this kind of novellas guarantee a relaxed read on an afternoon waiting for a plane, on the beach or with a cold in bed.
In this story the female heroine is working as a stewardess with a private plane company. One day the client is a Middle Eastern prince who definitely was born with too many silver spoons in his mouth. The guy is annoying in extremis. but is also the only one aboard who bothers saving her after the plane has crash landed. While waiting for his bodyguards to return with help - why do you need them when you can send them all away while you wait with a wounded woman? - she is not that hurt that they cannot play a game of "can we connect on a non-spiritual level by inserting this part of mine into yours?" Their meeting ends very fruitful with a lot of money and a surprise a bit further on the road as hey why would you use a condom as there is no HIV is there in fairyland. Years later he is the king and they meet again.
A well written easy romance story that has no pitfalls.. You do have to like the concept of bed before love though.

Interesting..
A good book about your typical rags to riches couple who meet one night and come together again many years later. This type of story is nice for a relaxing read, it's not something with unexpected twists or cliff hangers. The Sheikh's Surprise Heir was a fun read with nice characters who were fun to get to know. I loved the little girl and her relationship with the people she meets, it was a very sweet.
I give this book 3 stars out of 5 for the fun characters, predictable ending, and relaxing monologue.
I volunteered to read this book from Relay Publishing in exchange for my honest review, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

I received an e-arc in exchange for a fair and honest review.
The story of Natalie and Iman seemed slightly rushed and has a storyline that has obviously been used many times before, however, I still enjoyed reading it. My favorite character was little Iris, who definitely stole the show. Overall, I'd recommend this is as a fun, easy read, especially if you're heading to the pool or beach and want a light read while relaxing.

A good start to The Karawi Sheikhs series, I enjoyed the characters and the storyline and will look to read more.

I was really hoping for something better. this author description of the book is just so much better then the actual storyline. Flight attendant catches eye of prince. they have sex and he never sees her again until 6 years later. She has a kid he doesn't recognize as his. he still in love with her even though he only met her and in one day fell in love.. I just can't!! The little girl was cute and I enjoyed her so that's why I'm giving it 2 stars.

In the mythical country of Karawi, we learn about Sheikh Iman looking for a suitable bride to serve as queen. But he still holds feelings for Natalie, the woman he met and fell in love with years ago. Natalie hasn’t forgot him either but neither feels old when they meet again. Tangled up in their emotions are lies they’ve believed. Between the resurgence of their love, is Natalie’s child Iris and his bride-to-be. Once the obstacles are removed, circumstances are righted and the couple are free to move on.
You can never go wrong reading any book by Leslie North!

When I saw this book on the romance page of Netgalley, I was instantly drawn to the cover. These models are gorgeous and look perfect together. I didn't really read the synopsis, the cover and title drew me in. I know a sheikh was essentially a king in Middle Eastern countries and figured the story and customs would be a change of pace from the normal romance I read.

I am so glad I requested this book. It was and easy fun read and the fact that there was a secret "love child" was amazing. The quick wit and tone of the story made me want to keep reading. After finishing this, it made me want to get the others in the series. This was a great read.

I just wish it was longer. I am noticing this is a pattern for me. The stories just don't seem like they are long enough. I wanted more and wish there was more before the event at the end of the book.

An easy and light one time read, as I enjoyed breakfast. Iris was a delight and added a fun layer to the story. There were some overly corny moments in this once the truth came out, but it was just what I needed. I wasn't keen on how oblivious the Sheikh was when it came to Iris and who she was, nor did I like the fact Natalie took a job in the royal household but intended to keep her secret. Still on a morning where I'm feeling exhausted this was what I needed as I tried to wake up.

The Sheikh's Surprise Heir is the first story in Leslie North’s new series, The Karawi Sheikhs. This one is Iman and Natalie’s story of a ill-fated meeting through a near death experience and the result of their hot and heavy one night stand. So, while I totally get the cultural expectations of Iman’s heritage, I was a little annoyed at his ease of moving on with his marital plans after having made a supposed connection with Natalie and the way she was treated by his uncle. That aside, this was an OK book with and interesting storyline and a decent start to anew series.
