Not the style I was expecting. I actually didn’t read through the whole book. Just didn’t find it interesting or inspiring. Written in quote style instead of stories which was not something that kept me interested.

I had a problem managing my expectations with this book. I had hoped, as an aspiring manager and current line-level leader, that I would find some great advice for forging ahead. And while I did get some inspiration from the anecdotes, there wasn't a whole lot of new information here. I'd love to see a follow-up with more practical advice, maybe written from a low-to-mid-level manager's perspective (as opposed to moguls like Oprah).

Nothing new or profound in this book beyond the fact that there are more wealthy, powerful women providing advice to women who most likely do not have the same access to resources or power as the adivce-givers. With that in the back of my mind, I couldn't get through it. I'm sure others will find it inspirational, but it just wasn't for me.
