A great starting point and an interesting hobby

There are 21 easy to make projects using wire in this book. Some are downright amazing others are bit to easy. The book is really good for the beginner though. The pictures and step by step directions are great and easy to follow. After learning the basics from this book you will be ready for harder projects.

Easy Wire Art by Susan Schaadt offers useful ideas for creating wire art and sculptures. Overall the book is well conceived with good images and instructions to complete projects and more. The organization and details provide valuable methods to complete projects. The associated tools and materials described assist a reader to become a wire artist.

The title is correct. It's like tracing with wire. Even my children's classes can make fun wire sculptures that they will love to put on display. Thanks for all of the nice patterns.

Wire art is the new trending craft work.... It can be used in the flower arrangement and other decoration..... This book gives unique ideas for this craft....

A good introduction to crafters wanting to try wire art. While the pictures made get a little repetitive, in style, if not in design, those projects to drive home the idea of recreating a simple line drawing with wire to personalize the art to one's own desires. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

I have always been interested in wire art and so was pleased to be given a review copy of easy wire art. I think the book is a very good start for a beginner. I liked the simple but cute and pleasing designs. Very good ideas for decorations that you can hang around the house or even give as a housewarming gift.

This is an interesting book. It is a very different craft and has some great projects with good information and instructions.

This is a really interesting, cute little craft book. Wire art had never been on my radar, but this book was too cute to pass up. Inside you’ll find 21 very simple projects that I would guess are on the beginner level. Someone who has never played with wire should still be able to complete several ideas from the book. I love that the table of contents has a photo of each project. While the two-dimensional pieces are extremely simple, it really gets across how you can design your own and make something beautiful and original. Once you get through these projects, you should have your imagination sparked and a desire to do more complicated projects. I loved the daisies, the city-scape, and the simple shapes that were framed. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is interested in crafts, even if they’ve never tried wire before. The age range is probably around ten and up as long as the child knows how to handle wire safely and can operate pliers.

What a great way to start a new hobby! I loved this book and how easy it made to make the designs. It was informational for a beginner and the patterns and tips were greatly appreciated. I am planning to purchase a copy to use as part of some library programming!

Wire is an interesting medium to use in crafting and art. It can be used to make flat, 2-dimensional projects, or detailed 3-dimensional sculptures. Artists can choose from basic metallic wire (readily available at hardware stores), plastic-covered wire in a rainbow of colors (a craft store basic), or specialty wire found online. "Easy Wire Art" introduces beginners to several simple projects that can be created by any novice.

I found this book to be an interesting introduction, but there were a few points that I felt missed the mark. For example, there are a few of pages in the beginning of the book that demonstrate some basic methods, and they mention a few basic supplies, but it would be nice to have some kind of a "toolbox for beginners" list (flat- or round-nosed pliers, cork board, straight pins, a pencil and small clothespins, for those who are curious). Most of the projects are perilously simple, to the point where I just couldn't help but wonder if I would be swayed to complete any of them. It would be nice to show more-complex versions of some of the projects, or add a few more at the end that had a bit more intricacy.

Still, the title accurately describes the content, and would fit in nicely with any basic crafting library.

Good guide with lots of fun, cute wire art designs. Beginning section shows step by step info with photos on the techniques used, and then each project has a diagram and instructions on how to form the shape. The 21 projects included would be good for home decor or to be used on cards.

Easy Wire Art is a fun and well thought out instructional book about wire crafting. I have wanted to get into more wire crafting for a while so I was excited to see this book on Netgalley.

There are several easy projects outlined in the book with instructions that I am excited to try. I would say this is beginner level wire crafting so more advanced crafters might not get very much out of the book.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an entrance level wire crafting book.

An excellent beginner's guide to wire art. Having never tried wire art myself, I was interested to see what it was all about. This book if full of tips (using a cork-board to hold the work in project in place - genius!) and project ideas to get you started. I especially can't wait to try the canine wire project myself!

For those creative minds interested in making decorative pieces of art using wire, "Easy Wire Art" is an excellent introductory book for this. This book offers simplistic instructions on the few supplies needed for this craft and how to make several designs including flowers, boats, birds, dogs, fruits, moons, stars, clouds, a vintage ink bottle with quill (my personal favorite), and others, with a perfect amount of photos and text. This would make a great gift for a crafty person, included with the five supplies listed in the front of the book.

This book definitely has potential for crafters who want to work with wire. I've purchased it for my library's collection and I look forward to sharing it with patrons.

As a creative person who can't draw, sing or play a musical instrument, I have to find creative outlets where I can. This book gave me several great ideas for making my own art and I really love the book because of that.
