Hestia Wright has lived a troubled life and now strives to help other downtrodden women at Half Moon House. She's fulfilled by her work and is determined she'll never want another man. John, the Earl of Stoneacre, is under pressure from his parents to marry a young debutante and secure the succession of their marquesate. But he's too busy with his work for the Prince Regent to settle down just yet, despite his prevailing loneliness, and even if he were, Hestia is the only woman he wants. He admires not just her beauty, but her strength and resilience. Unfortunately she's made her indifference perfectly clear and Stoneacre is determined not to push her.

The Prince Regent has now directed Stoneacre and Hestia to work together to recapture the patently evil and treasonous Marquess of Marstoke and ensure he doesn't escape this time. They're unsure of each other at first but trust begins to develop between Hestia and Stoneacre during their dangerous mission and, given the many obstacles between them in the real world, the greatest risk could be to their hearts.

It has taken me a shamefully long time to get around to this ARC, but I'm so glad I finally did. This was a new to me author and I loved her writing. This book had suspense and a lovely couple in the main characters. Stoneacre was just so pure and sweet in his determination to be with Hestia and despite being scarred and afraid of her own vulnerability, Hestia was a mature heroine and their relationship was handled very well and without angst. I enjoyed this book as a standalone, but I was definitely missing a lot from the previous books. This was a lovely book and I now plan to go back and check out the rest of the series and more of this author's work.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Lady’s Lover is the last book in the Half Moon House series and it was a great way to finish the series. This was a fun romantic story with action and humor. So glad Hestia finally got her HEA.

While I did not read the previous three books in this series, the book works well as a stand alone once you get through the first couple of chapters. Hestia Wright and Stoneacre are teamed up to bring down an evil, womanizing crime lord by the Prince Regent. Both are independent and self-sufficient although the attraction between them is there from the start. As they travel all through the English countryside to find their quarry, their romance develops and they realize catching the criminal will not be the end of their story. I enjoyed this book and am curious enough to go back and read the the three previous books.

This was fun, sexy, witty and just the right amount of intrigue to keep me anxiously turning the page. I enjoyed the characters and the flow of the story, there are a few mentions of stories of characters and their story that I want to explore. Definitely enjoyed this author and look forward to reading more from her.

I've been really looking forward to this book and it definitely didn't dissapoint! The chemistry between these two has been apparent throughout all the previous books and I am sooo pleased that it played out so well as the focus of its own book.
I hadn't read anything by Deb Marlowe until this series and I'll definitely be going to read more of hers! Brilliant writing!

This was an amazing read – Hestia and Stoneacre’s story. Their story pulls at your heart strings. And, although I feel like I started at the end, it is well worth your time to read. Unfortunately, I have only read one other in the series, I plan to start at the beginning and read through the series this summer. Deb Marlowe is somewhat new to me but is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers.

Not having started at the beginning, I felt that I was missing some of the story, but I do believe this could be read and enjoyed as a standalone. This books seems to wrap up all of the unanswered questions that might have arisen in the previous books. Thank you Net Galley for sharing this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a good historical romance! I was pleasantly surprised by how action-packed this is! The book blurb promised that the main characters would face peril, and that was not an exaggeration. Hestia Wright and The Earl of Stoneacre must face and attempt to defeat the truly dangerous and evil Lord Marstoke, which requires an abundance of bravery, brilliance, and battle savvy.

The hero and heroine are simply excellent. Hestia is the centerpiece of the series, and got the strong story and hero she deserves. This book has some harsh situations driving the plot, which adds to the authentic feel of the characters and the conflicts and danger they face.

Although this is the final novel in a series, it can be read and enjoyed without having read the other books in the series. However, it probably packs a greater emotional satisfaction to readers who have read this series in order. This was a pleasure to read.

Hestia Wright has turned her life around after her treatment at the hands of the Marquis of Marstoke.
The Earl of Stoneacre has long admired Hestia. Now they’ve been ordered by no other than the Prince Regent to work together to defeat the Wicked Lord Marstoke once and for all.
This is the final instalment of this brilliant series, it could be read on its own but to fully appreciate it I recommend reading the whole series. Strong characters & a story that leaves you breathless at times. I've wanted Hestia to have her HEA from the very first book , the road isn't easy but it makes for a page turning, enthralling read. Suffice to say there are twists & turns along the way as well as surprises that I didn’t see coming. I'll be sad that Hestia's world has drawn to a close but it was a very satisfying conclusion
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

If you're a fan of the Half Moon House series, you know this is the book we've been waiting for. Finally Hestia's story!
In all 4 books in this series, Hestia has played an integral part. Hestia is a courtesan. Her life was made so by the Marquess of Marstoke. Her battle with Marstoke started in book 1 and finished in this book.
John Everitt, the Earl of Stoneacre, has been assigned by the Prince regent to help Hestia bring Marstoke down.
As they work together, you see the chemistry and the relationship build between them.
They face many challenges. Can their love survive, not only Marstoke but also the Ton.
There were several twists and turns in the story. I loved them all. I think my favorite part was where Hestia confronts Stoneacre's mother. That scene touched me so muc, it brought me to tears.
For an added bonus sign up for the free ebook epilogue. It brings the characters back from all the books and wraps it up into a nice HEA.

Whilst the story had to be told, being the last book in the series is quite devastating. Each book continued to get better, culminating in the beautifully told story of Hestia Write and Stoneacre. Following her ruination by the Marquess of Marstoke, Hestia has been determined to save any woman who has been ruined by Marstoke but has also made it her life’s work, to bring him to justice. John Everett, the Earl of Stoneacre, is brought in by the Prince Regent to work with Hestia, to assist Hestia in her mission. However, Stoneacre has long been fascinated by Hestia and hopes that this time together, will make her realise how they are meant to be together.
Hestia is such a clever woman which is evident whilst working with Stoneacre. What set her apart from many other women in a similar situation, was that she believed that the ‘happily ever after’ could be for her. Now Stoneacre, was amazing. Not only did he have looks and personality but his gentleness and wisdom, was evident for all, making it that much harder for Hestia not to fall in love with him.
This book has it all – a great romance, with action and suspense. I could not put it down and now find myself, wanting to start back at the beginning again.
