This book I was so excited to get to read this book. I fell in love from page one. You won't regret one clicking this.

After reading Resist, I wanted more. I couldn't put this book down. Ryker is a divorce attorney and good at what he does. He doesn't believe in love. He is sexy, powerful, rich. He gets what he wants. He fights for what he wants. Vaughn is smart, sexy. She is trying to do everything that she can to get one thing that means the world to her. This book shows the struggle and the stress that she goes through. Ryker and Vaughn meet and Ryker can't get her out of his head. He is surprised at himself for chancing after her. You see Vaughn's past and it just gets to you. I absolutely love this book. I highly recommend this book. Can't wait to read the second book. Another great read K. Bromberg, love your books.

I haven't read a K. Bromberg book in a long while. I won't tell you how long because that would be bad. But I read the synopsis for Resist and knew that I needed to get my hands on a copy.

And oh, it DID NOT disappoint. I got the same feeling I had when I first read Driven. Insane butterflies and then a intense need to know what happens next. I will say Resist is probably a title that fits the book as an entirety. But I will not give away any spoilers. Except this does end on cliffhanger.

The book starts out with Vaughn Sanders letting herself get into a sticky situation. A situation with a man who's used getting anything and everything that he wants. Ryker Lockhart is definitely a man I would describe as peculiar. He has the power and the money from being a high rise attorney, that only accepts men as clients. This mean he has his own set of issues.

But that doesn't make Vaughn a shrinking violet. Oh, no. She is a take the bull by the horn type of woman. Which is why she gets herself involved with Ryker. You can't help but be enamored by her. Her backstory is somewhat tragic and spiraled starting from one event and continuing into her adulthood. I think this is why she choose such an interesting career.

This book has every element that I expect from Kristy. But this has such a power struggle between Ryker and Vaughn that produces such a magic between the them. These two gravitate and collide with each other. I love the push and pull between any characters that I read. As much as these two want to discover from each other, they also have much to hide too!

This book will keep you wanting more and more as you turn that page. Hook, line and sinker, Kristy has crafted another series that I put right up there with Driven. Yes! I said it.

K. Bromberg has done it again with Resist, book one in her new Wicked Ways duet. Vaughn and Ryker's story is intriguing, compelling and surprising. You're not going to want to put it down. Definitely a must read!

I went into this novel blindly only knowing I have loved some of this author's other works. The characters in this novel are complex, so many layers to uncover (reminds me a bit of Colton and Rylee as to their complexity). I also feel as if we get more of Vaughn's layers than Ryker's in this first book (again a lot like Colton and Rylee with getting more of one perspective than the other).

Overall I really enjoyed this novel. There is a level of depth and emotion which can sometimes be lacking. This is not a standalone and does end in a cliffhanger. While there is a nice cameo of one of the Driven characters as well as some superficial similarities, this was not at all a rewrite of the Driven series. Although I believe a reader who enjoyed those would likely enjoy this series as well.

Absolutely LOVED, story was amazing, the chemistry was off the charts, seriously!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone to read, cannot wait for the next one!!

Ohhhhh Kristy has done it again. She’s given me a man I was side-eyeing, falling for, and then wanting to nut-punch. I get why he did what he did that makes me want to nut- punch, but still. *crosses arms and side-eye’s Ryker* Not only did I enjoy reading the pages of their developing relationship, I LOVED listening to it. Kristy’s writing is fantastic and always keep me turning the pages, but hearing Jason Clarke as Ryker made me turn the fan up. Resist had great chemistry between Ryker and Vaughn, an engaging and sexy story that kept me hanging on to each word.

Resist is the steamy, hate to love tale of Vaughn and Ryker. Vaughn is a high price escort service proprietor with a good heart and a past. Ryker is a cut throat divorce lawyer and Vaughn's newest client. Despite their differences, they make a sizzling connection. I adored their journey. I could not put this story down. The ending totally shook me. Please excuse me as my emotionally self preorders Reveal, the next book. Resist is a great addition to K. Bromberg library. that cliff hanger?! My stomach is in knots my heart is pounding and what I’ve just read has took my breath away and made my blood boil - I want to scream and now I’m left in an anxious need of book 2 like yesterday !

For me, this is Kirsty’s writing at her best and the one I’ve enjoyed the most with full 5 well deserved stars since the player duet !

She gives everything with this story!

It’s intense and has rAw emotion, the chemistry is on Fire it’s so hot !
The characters are everything - with the balance of confidence and vulnerability in Vaughn shes going to become one a Heroine favorite!
Then Ryker- who doesn’t love an alpha arse-hole !!? (Sorry I’m English and ass just isn’t the same 😉) And he’s going to do just that to you !


I was completed hooked throughout the book, a brilliant pace and never predictable, more than once I felt my stomach in knots and was on the edge of my seat! I cried through the emotion as I felt the hurt.
My heart warmed at the loving side and overall it gives you all the feels !

Now I’m left in this state of need..... counting down to Reveal !!!!! hurry Up September !!

I will read anything K. Bromberg writes. She is always so consistent with her books. But, this story took me by surprise. It took me on an exhilarating ride. I could not put this book down, which considering my latest book slump is pretty incredible. The story was entertaining and creative. There is some mystery in the book, but I won’t spoil any of that. I was not prepared to like these characters as much as I did. Vaughn runs an escort service in NYC. Ryker is a powerful divorce attorney, who only takes on men as clients. But, neither are as they seem to others. In a wild turn of events, they meet under some very unconventional circumstances. A lot of the book is their banter and chemistry and the back and forth between them. But, when they finally did get together, these two were absolutely incredible! However, it ends on a shocking cliffhanger, and I desperately need book 2 now! I’m incredibly impressed with this first book, and can’t wait to get my hands on Reveal soon!

I was pleasantly surprised with Resist book. It was something new and unexpected written by Kristy Bromberg author. Vaughn and Ryker story kept me in suspense from the very first chapter. Author jumps in to the story from the very beginning with fast pase and twist of action. We are pulled in pool of lies and secrets that surrounds main characters. I was hooked by the plot and couldn't put this book down.

I love the name of main female character Vaughn. She was independent, smart and feisty beautiful young woman with a sassy mouth.
 She was carrying a huge burden on her shoulders. I didn't see it from the beginning but she was so broken inside. Her soul was shattered to a million pieces.
The reason for this state lay deep down, buried inside her soul and I was wondering if there is a chance for a salvation for her heart and soul?

Ryker Lockhart was wealthy and handsome attorney with devilish smirk and arrogant attitude. He was confident and ruthless shark in the court and knew how to get what he wanted, also didn't take easy no for the answer. And he wanted Vaughn.
They're relationship was hard but also very powerful. They're like two perfectly match imperfections.  They've pushed and pulled one another, any of them didn't want to let go, each one for their own reason. They're challenged one another and all of this led them to the intensive, steamy passion and lust that my brain was sizzling from.
Sometimes I wanted to shake Vaughn a little bit for her actions but I knew that there was a purpose for it all.
The title of this book perfectly fit to this story. Resist. Yes, they fought with their feelings but  couldn't resist each other.
There was so many emotions in this story.
Sometimes author have broken my heart and the minute later put pieces back together.
There were scenes where I didn't realize that I was holding my breath, mesmerized I was absorbing every word. This story just captivated me.

And for real you guys, I couldn't believe my own eyes when I got to the end of this book and needed to read twice last chapter. It was devastating, heartbreaking and I don't know how I will survive until the book #2.

There is always something magical in the Kristy Bromberg books and Resist was one of them. Now, after a huge cliffhanger, I can't so freaking wait for Reveal, conclusion of this amazing story.

Vaughn Sanders has many secrets. She lives in two different worlds--one where she struggles to climb over a mountain of debt and another where she runs an escort service that charges top dollar. The two worlds don't mix. But, they somehow collide when Vaughn meets Ryker Lockhart, high-powered divorce attorney who only represents men. This book is aptly named and Vaughn tries to resist Ryker's pull throughout the story. The story ends with a cliffhanger and I can't wait to dive into book 2 to find out what happens next between Ryker and Vaughn.

Bromberg does an amazing job weaving together characters and bringing them together while still keeping it interesting and intriguing. If you loved her "Driven" series, you'll love this one.

Vaughn started the escort service Wicked Ways so she could earn the money to pay down the debt she incurred for her sister. But when she takes Ryker (a sought after divorce attorney) on as a client, she had no idea that she would have to replace the girl who was supposed to go out with him. That decision would change her life.

I couldn’t help but love Vaughn ... even though she is a madam, she is doing it for very unselfish reasons. At first I thought Ryker was an a$$hole ... but it didn’t take long for him to win me over. And Lucy ... what a little doll. I love it when a story has kids in it because the things that come out of their mouths can be priceless ... and Lucy comes out with some doozies! This book has everything in it ... romance, laughter, drama, steam ... and the cliffhanger will leave you stunned! I can’t wait for the conclusion ... please tell me I don’t have to wait long!

Vaughn and Ryker are both so guarded and untrusting that neither of them ever seem to be able to convey how they really feel...can they put their pride aside long enough to see if they are more than just a contract? Can Vaughan open up and share her truths or will Ryker end up being the liar this time???

An absolutely fantastic read which has left me so excited to find out what happens next....I really do hope that Vaughn and Ryker find their sunset!

And holy moly I do declare that she has struck gold once again with RESIST, the first enthralling installment in her Wicked Ways duet. This is an EPIC enemies-to-lovers tale that resonates oh so deep…but eek there’s a cliffhanger that will leave you SCREAMING!

THE PREMISE:
To avoid spoilers, I am going to keep this overview short and sweet. But, in summary, this sophisticated and passion fueled story revolves around Ryker Lockhart, a roguishly handsome, high powered divorced attorney who sets his sights on Vaughn aka “Madam Vee,” the alluringly beautiful and mystifying owner of the secret escort service that he frequents. Their first meeting is positively electric and while the fiery heroine tries to act unaffected by her filthy rich client's rakish charm, it’s clear that she is as aroused and as intrigued as he is.

Turns out the unscrupulous, lethally sexy alphahole wants her at ALL COSTS and is bound and determined to unravel all her deep dark secrets. MY MUSINGS:
IRRESISTIBLE was enticing. Wildly addictive. Insanely hot. And brimming with a plethora of juicy drama, glitz, passion and intrigue. In essence, this is one sexy as sin, high octane, emotionally-charged read that is pure adrenaline rush of ecstasy! And of course, as with all of K. Bromberg’s books, it’s all about the book boyfriend. And wowza is this one MOUTHWATERING!

Ryker Lockhart in all his “elegant, refined, sexy, striking” glory is the epitome of the hotshot alpha hero. This powerful, ruthless attorney lives by a rigid set of rules, but against all odds, Vaughn just might be “the exception.” And in the moments when this cut-throat courtroom shark transforms into a gentle giant, you can’t help but swoon over him. He is a man of many facets, and I was completely and utterly mesmerized by this hero and was totally in his corner as he pursues the object of his scalding hot desires with a VENGEACE!

And eeep does he meet his match in Vaughn, the bewitchingly beautiful madam who runs the escort service that caters to the rich and elite. She is as feisty and strong-willed as he is powerfully commanding. Gah! I absolutely love the push and pull between these two fireballs—the emotional tug of war, the power struggles, the flirty, razor-sharp banter were absolutely INTOXICATING! Vaughn and Ryker's chemistry is off the charts and they both challenge and test each other in immeasurable ways! And no big surprise… their blistering discord eventually paves the way for some molten hot encounters that are guaranteed to set your kindle AFLAME!! And while at times Vaughn’s stubborn pride made me want to shake some sense into her, I got why she used her self-defense mechanisms as a shield like she did. Her brokenness was palpable but when her walls finally came tumbling down, I was beyond jubilant!

As with all of Ms. Bromberg’s books, this story is brilliantly crafted, beautifully complex and with a tightly woven, gloriously twisty plotline that leaves you absolutely riveted. It’s also the kind of breath-stealing story that swallows you whole from page one. There is just so much depth and so many layers to the MCs, and their storyline is bolstered by a memorable cast of secondary characters that prove pivotal to the overarching storylines. And in addition to the internal strife there are also some outside forces that heightens the stakes for this dynamic couple.

BOTTOM LINE:
Overall, I found RESIST to have the perfect blend of hotness, angst, palpable tension, steamy erotica and edge of your seat intrigue to keep me frantically turning the pages. And omfg that cliffy ending is TO DIE FOR! It’s gonna be SHEER TORTURE to await the conclusion, REVEAL, but I have every confidence that it’s going to be explosive!

A MUST READ!

This books title was perfect for the story. Vaughn resisted and resisted but still fell and fell hard. But there is so much more to this story that I can't wait to get some answers...too many players with knowledge to Vaughn and her past and her present.

These characters are binge-worthy!

Ryker is captivating. There’s just something about him that I can’t help but be drawn to. He shouldn’t be attractive, but he is. Don’t get me wrong. He’s sexy, confident, and successful. He’s also bold, cocky, and sometimes arrogant. He always gets his way and isn’t always the nicest guy. But there’s something underneath that layer of ‘bad boy’ that keeps you hanging on. I think once those layers are peeled away, we’re going to see the most amazing man shine through.

Vaughn is a complicated woman. She seems like she shouldn’t have a care in the world, but she definitely carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. She’s strong, independent, but not immune to the charms of Ryker, despite desperately wanting to be. And for all the bravado she exudes, she struggles putting the broken pieces of her life back together.

Talk about an addictive story! From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. Both Ryker and Vaughn are clouded in mystery and you know there’s more to them than they want to show. Their push and pull is fantastic to watch, their desire for dominance over the other sometimes comical. And their chemistry is off the charts. But cliffhanger haters beware: this is book one of this duet, and there is still SO much story left to tell. I, for one, can’t wait to find out what happens next.

This book! I was so engrossed from the time I started reading it that I did not realize I was so close to finishing it until I turned the last page!!

Vaughn drew me from the start. The love she has for Lucy, and her determination to make Lucy’s life better, coupled with what she did to take care of her sister, drew me into her world as I read. She is strong, determined, and damaged by things she doesn’t quite remember. I am 100% a fan of hers,and I’m still rooting for her!

Ryker enters the picture as a bull in a china shop, he blackmails her, gets under her defenses, is there for her when her memories surface and she realizes some things about her sister that she had buried. He made her feel, and.... well... I’m not writing a spoiler review, so I’ll stop there!

K. Bromberg has always been a favorite for me. Her ability to draw readers into the story, to make us part of it even, is rarely matched. I felt every feeling Vaughn was feeling near the end of this book. I rooted for her and my heart broke with hers. I’m so anxious to read the next book!!

I recommend this book with no reservations! It is a must read!

Keeping this short and sweet, because for one, if you've read K. Bromberg, you know exactly what you are going to get when you read her magic, Sweet and addictive. And another reason this one is short, the ending left me speechless. BUT I won't lie, the cliffy in this one, killed me!!! I need the next book NOW pretty please......

I personally did not like the ending to this book. I realize now that there is a part two. I will be purchasing it so I can have my happy ending.
