Tangle by Adriana Locke was such a good read, I loved everything about it.
The storyline was entertaining, the characters were likable, engaging and my interest was captured from the first page and held until the end.

Another wonderful read by Adriana Locke and a great addition to the Dogwood Lane Series.

*Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the advance copy.*

Such a cute story of anti love turned into a beautiful love story. Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it, but you have to be open to accepting it.
I love the town of Dogwood Lane. I love the characters. I hope we get more of this small town with big personalities.

What can I say about Tangle? It's heartfelt, sweet, and amazing! If you've read Tumble, you know Haley was mentioned, while I loved Tumble, Tangle is my favorite. Adriana Locke is the master of small-town romances.

Tangle had the right of banter and phenomenal chemistry between the characters. It was a slow burn kind of love and I couldn't get enough of it!

I think Haley has to be one of my favorite heroines by Locke. She's a firecracker who's brutally honest and she has a heart of gold. Haley loves to love on people. She's the kind of person you want to be friends with. Trevor, Trevor, Trevor. He was so sweet and tortured, perfection, right? He and Haley balanced each other out perfectly.

Locke has a special talent that she makes you feel as if you're the character and your living the story. She's ridiculously talented. I also loved seeing Dane and Neely.

Adriana, please, please, please, write Penn's story like ASAP. I need it like I need my next cup of coffee. I love it!
5 Heartfelt stars!

I have never felt closer to a character than I feel to Haley. We are one and the same and I can only hope that means that I have a Trevor out there that’s destined to eventually find me. I can’t tell you how oddly familiar this book was as I was reading it. I literally live two hours away from Nashville in a small rural city and have had the dream of working in a library or flower shop since I was in middle school. I can go on and on with the similarities but to keep it short it’s like Adriana took my life and gave it the best story and happily ever after it could ever have. And dang if that didn’t make this one of my favorites I’ve read from her.

I feel like Haley can relate to all of us. She’s a hopeless romantic at heart but can’t seem to find the right person. She has put herself on the backburner for years to help out everyone around her and it’s finally time for her. Trevor Kelly is bound and determined to help her with her life as long as she keeps him company while he’s in Dogwood. But they’ve made a promise not to fall for each other and break any hearts. Love isn’t quite that easy, but Haley and Trevor are bound and determined to push the boundaries.

Trevor Kelly is such a hot hero and if you’re anything like me, watching him fall will be the best part. When he told Haley he didn’t believe in love, I just wanted to cackle and say “just you wait.” And let me tell you, that city boy sure does fall hard!

If you’ve never read a book by Adriana Locke, this is the perfect one to start with. If you’ve read Adriana Locke before, you’re going to fall in love with her writing once again with this one. Hands down, Adriana is my favorite author and Tangle alone is enough proof of why. I didn’t want to put this book down, but I also didn’t want it to end! This book will 100% steal your heart and have you sprinting to get a donut.

Book Review- Tangled by Adriana Locke

Book number two that involves the lovely people who live in Dogwood Lane. This is Hayley’s story. She is an awesome character, who is smart and funny. In the past she has fallen for the wrong guys who don’t treat her very well. Her cousin Dane makes a bet with her. So, she places herself on a dating hiatus.
So of course, when she isn’t looking, she meets the most gorgeous man. Her reaction is hilarious. I would love to have her as a friend. She tries to be positive about everything thrown at her. She knows what she wants, but the author gives her time in this story to figure out she is worth the effort of getting it.
Trevor is a great character, but he is definitely a bit of a mess. He is a good match for Hayley, but he doesn’t want the same things out of life. The author creates these situations where they are thrown together but try to keep it on a friend level because it won’t go anywhere if it becomes more.
I love how these two look at things differently and how they each have to reach some important epiphanies about themselves. Lots of personal growth going on in a roundabout way. I love these characters and can’t wait to read more. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Adriana Locke has crafted a fun and sexy enemies-to-lovers romance with just the right amount of heart and emotions in Tangle. Trevor and Haley are adorable from the first moment they meet. I was immediately sucked into their romance and giggling over their continuous banter.

After reading Tangle, I am so excited for Penn's book. I love his cocky, fun attitude, but just like I suspected, he has a big protective heart. I have a feeling he is going to be my favorite Dogwood Lane hero after I read his book.

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY, DOUGHNUTS. We all love them, well some of us more than others. Like Haley, a hometown girl with a snarky tongue for instance, whose eyes set on the perfect doughnut, only for someone else to have bought it before she even set her sights on it. Who might that be, blue eyed, gorgeous Trevor Kelly.

For Trevor, his life was organized and full, until it wasn't. When he helps build his father's new wife's new house up in Dogwood Lane (try saying that 5x fast), Hayley was the last thing he expected to find. Drawn to her, he can't help but seek her out. Yet, he's the one saying he's not looking love. But with Hayley, all bets are off. A contract is drawn - on a doughnut napkin of all things. But Trevor is soon to learn about love the hard way. Staying away from Hayley and those three, life altering words don't go together. And love he does. Knowing he is not staying in Dogwood Lane for long, he tries to keep barriers up between them, keep things casual. But all his doubts are about to be their biggest hurdle. Can he truly love someone? - The past getting in the way.

When he hurts Hayley and leaves Dogwood Lane, all bets are off as to how it will affect them both. When he realises he can't live without her, he starst to see things differently. But to get her back... It might be too late.

As time goes on, and the distance between them are not just in miles, he can't take it no more. But will she take him back. Afterall, they both love each other, but they also signed a napkin contract.

Words I would use to describe this book: Hot, passionate, and uncontrollably things esscalate between them. It's a worldwind romance, eat your heart out, throw the book in a love sick rage. I want to slap Trevor Kelly across the back of his head for being so stupid and tell him to run and grovel, but the things this book makes you feel, butteflies and all.

If you loved the film Just Friends, this vibes that plus so more. I LOVED THIS BOOK! I can't wait to read more from this series and this author.

Adriana writes the best swoony reads. Even if you’re tired of the smooshy love and hearts in the eyes you’ll still love this book. I did!

Goofy grin inducing and you will fall in love with these characters and this small town! Trust me if my little burb in the Hoosierland were anything like this town I’d be a happy townie!

Slow burning sweetness and you’ll be addicted until the end!

I've been reading Adriana Locke for years, and I've always enjoyed her books. But there hasn't been one that I've loved as much as I love Tangle. This book was a straight-up homerun. I know many Locke fans worship at the altar that is Lincoln Landey, and I'm sorry to have to tell them this, but Trevor Kelly wipes the floor with Lincoln. I don't think there has been a more charming, charismatic male yet written by Locke. From the moment we meet Trevor at the cafe, I was hooked, just like Haley. I hung off every word he said and felt like Haley was his perfect match. She's feisty and didn't let Trevor's charm sway her resolve. Tangle was a delicious slow burn, and I read this book with a smile on my face... until of course, my heart broke into a million pieces. I know a book makes me feel when my stomach is in knots, and I'm savoring each word. I couldn't wait to see how the story resolved, but at the same time, I never wanted the story to end. I could have spent days watching Trevor and Haley fall in love.

A fun, witty read overall. I enjoyed it but toward the middle it did begin to drag.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Only okay
3 stars

Surprisingly, this is the first ever book I’ve read by Adriana Locke, despite having most of her novels on my ‘want to read’ list. Probably even more surprisingly, given the vast amount of 5 star reviews for this book and all her others, the story just didn’t capture my attention.

Trevor is only in the small town of Dogwood Lane to oversee a building project. He’s more of a city boy and plans a brief stop and nothing more. But then he bumps into Haley and a stand-off over a caramel doughnut ensues. From that moment on, the pair find themselves bumping into each other accidentally, and then not so accidentally. Trevor suddenly finds a reason to stick around this small town.

I was engrossed in this story early on and Ms Locke’s writing style is fun and witty. She does relationships so well - both romantically speaking and the friendship of the other characters we are introduced to. I’m assuming that some of those other characters either have had their own books in the past or will get one in the future. They all just give a great character to this small town.

I liked the friendship with an edge of sexual tension between Trevor and Haley and was looking forward to seeing things develop and grow. And that was ultimately where things fell down for me with this book. At about a third way through I started to get bored. It just seemed to be the same situation over and over again. Will we? Won’t we? Should we? Shouldn’t we? I was frustrated.

Again going back to the other reviews, perhaps I started with the wrong book. Had I already been invested in this town and these characters, perhaps I would have really loved this book. Adriana Locke’s books will remain on my ‘want to read’ list and I will definitely go back and perhaps read the first book in this series, and then this one again, to see if my opinion changes. It didn’t set my world on fire and, for me, it was only okay. 3 stars.

This book was everything I expected and so much more from this very talented author, great characters that I fell in love with, a small town romance which happens to be one of my favourite tropes and some great banter made this the perfect read. I was captivated from the first page to the very last line and once I started there was no putting down. Trevor hand Haley share a lot of sizzling chemistry and their banter flows so naturally it’s hard not to love this wonderfully written romance.
Looking forward to what’s coming next in the Dogwood Lane Series.

Swoony, heartfelt sweet small town romance.
A little on the predictable side but what made this sexy romance shine and stand on its own was that it was well written and the story flowed well. The banter between Haley and Trevor was delicious and even the secondary characters added to the story.
3.5 stars!

"My resolve weakens as he uses that damn dimple as a weapon. Finding the part of my brain responsible for logic under all the sexual frustration is nearly impossible."

Another great read from Adriana, I enjoyed this like I did with the first book!I enjoyed every single moment of Haley and Trevor’s journey and their chemistry was off the charts.I really liked Hayley and enjoyed watching her trying to work out how she wants her life. This was a really fun and sexy read!It was exactly what I needed!

This story was just completely full of heart and so much fun. I fell in love so much with these characters and swooned hard. I could not put this book down. I was completely absorbed by this story. I adore this series so far. I cannot wait to read more from Adriana and from this series and these characters.

Absolutely amazing. I loved every word of this book. The chemistry was hot and the back and forth banter between them was brilliant and had me laughing a few times. The only thing that disappointed me was that the book ended. I could have read about these 2 characters forever and not been disappointed. Another hit.

Holy Toledo, y'all. Adriana Locke's latest release is everything you have ever wanted in a book. Seriously. For starters, she's the queen of sassy characters. THE QUEEN. And her hero's are funny as all get out. So between the laughter, the swooning and the toe curling, you will realize that this book is exactly what perfection looks like.

Story Line: All Haley wants from life the perfect donut. Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but because of that craving, the most adorable meet-cute of all time happens. She wants a very, very specific donut and who has already purchased it, therefore taking away her morning savior? That's right. Hottie McHotterson Trevor. They shake if the sparklers that go off when they meet for the first time thinking they'll never see each other again. Except fate, destiny and real estate have other plans. Agreements are made, official napkin documents are drawn up and next thing we know it, love is in the air. Okay, that's probably the worst summary ever of this book, but I can't give away any spoilers. So throw me a bone here!

Interaction: When I said AL was the queen of sass, I truly meant that. Haley's character may just be the funniest and sweetest she has ever written. This girl has a heart of gold and the best outlook on life. Seriously, her optimism and witt was inspiring. The girl loses her job and never loses her positivity. How is that even possible? It just goes to show you that life is exactly what you make of it. And Haley's outlook on life seeps into the pours of our brooding cynical hero in all of the best ways. Y'all I'm in love with these characters. Their conversations are so dang realistic. I was hanging on their every word and found myself smiling so much while reading. Haley and Trevor are going to rock your world.

Laundry: Oh my stars. Is it hot in here? No? My face is still flushed from reading certain scenes, if you know what I mean. These two. I cannot get over how incredible their chemistry is. Yes, they have sparks gallore just sitting in the same room as one another. But when they let down their guards and defenses, it's magic I tell you. Pure, naughty, disney magic.

Depth: Is this a love story? Obviously? Is that all this is? Heck no. Trever's character brings loads of dimension to the story. And let's not forget hashtag goals Haley and her amazing attitude. The underlying story to so many of AL books is family and that is no exception here. Family is blood, sure. But family is also those who chose to make an impact on your life as well. This was such an important part of Tangle. Because not only did Haley and Trevor get tangled up together, but so did their families. It was beautiful, heartwarming and left me floating in a cloud of pixie dust.

Haley is amazing. Her quarter life crisis is something I think a LOT of people can relate to. You reach a point in your life when you realize you don't really know what comes next. You can see your mistakes or missed opportunities and you want to make some changes. Haley grabs her life by the horns and is determined to make herself a priority. Part of that is not dating. Haley can pick the wrong guy out of a sea of Mr. Perfects. Again-another thing I think a lot of ladies in their mid 20's can relate to.

Trevor is a charming idiot. He has issues with commitment and love. He has reasons, and they aren't bad reasons, but they are dumb. Because he's an idiot. Thankfully, he knows how to make the grand gesture. While Haley is an HEA person, Trevor is an HFN person. I love that Haley was totally upfront about her thoughts on love and relationships-even if it was uncomfortable. Its hard for a woman to put herself out there like that-you don't want to be "that girl" and she is taking steps to let him know that she is not wanting to be led on.

I cried through the last 20% of Tangle. No joke-first they were tears of sadness for Haley. Then they were tears of happiness for Haley. Seriously, I just loved her. I don't normally read angsty books, but this isn't really that angsty. Haley and Trevor are both upfront with each other and you can kind of see how this could go wrong, but they are both likable characters. Its not really angsty until the last bit. Tangle will give you a tangle of emotions for sure, but you will love it! I love the small town setting of Dogwood Lane-the wisdom of the old lady, the quirky town dog, and the bonds of people who look out for each other.

Trevor and Haley forever! Such a fun enjoyable read. That being said, I wanted to slap some sense into him a few times Upon meeting the first time hilarity ensues. She is a forbidden fruit that he just can not stay away from .Haley is a hopeless romantic and wants to be in love and everything that come along with it. Trevor is the total opposite, he is more if the love ‘em and leave ‘em type.
The whole gang is back and they are a wonderful addition to this story. The character development is just fantastic. Trevor,, grows and realizes that he has got to.fight for Haley and she deserves to be fraught for.
The banter between Trevor and Harley will have you laughing your head off. This story is a what all small town romance stories should aspire to be...

I completely adored this story!!! Haley and Trevor. What a push, pull slow burn of a happy ending. Haley is on a dating hiatus. Trevor is against long term relationships. But these two are just the right fit despite how much they fight it. What I loved was the building of a friendship. Their banter with each other was stellar. Thief and Ohio loved pushing each other’s buttons as much as they both loved a good doughnut. I also loved all the supporting players, both in Dogwood Lane and Trevor’s family. But what I loved the most was the passion and chemistry that jumped off the page! So so enjoyable and made me want more from this world! Hello Penn Etling, I need your story!!
