I loved the first book of the series but was left feeling nothing but disappointment when I picked up "In It to Win It". The plot was lacking that something something that originally drew me in like "Play To Win", the lead characters Taylor and JP were too immature got my liking and lacked real chemistry when it felt more sexual than anything else and the writing style felt completely different from the prequel and that obviously was a total turn off. I wasn't expecting this complete 180° in the Wynn Hockey series and it almost became too difficult to finish the series that as much as I love the author, I unfortunately decided to dropped the series. I'm hoping when book three of the Wynn Hockey collection is release, it'll be more worthwhile than "In It to Win It."

Oh, this was good.

I love a good hockey romance, but I need a decent amount of both the hockey and the romance. Kelly gives the perfect amount of each. Best of all she knows her hockey.
JP is fun, he's the opposite of his brother Theo, except he has a huge heart. He's just better at hiding it. He's his own worst enemy and although I felt like he was overly hard on himself I had to remind myself that we humans are sometimes destructive like that. But JP's changing his way, trying harder to do better, make better choices and I felt like while paddle board yoga isn't something most would choose to learn to be more centered and less reactive it fit with the setting.
I am so so glad Taylor's story didn't put her in Nashville with Manny. She needed to stay in California...her story belonged there with Lacey and Everly riding along. Taylor is thrown some curve balls. She works hard to to understand the changes that comes her way and make adjustments but like JP she's her own worst enemy. She just doesn't realize it. And geez her reaction is beyond human. I actually think she reacted better than I did as I was reading it! Maturity is obviously her strong suite.
Kelly does a wonderful job pulling you into the story. Not only because we're seeing characters that we're already a little familiar with but because we're getting more of these characters we want stories to. Her world building is phenomenal and just very thorough. I was never annoyed with any of her characters. I felt that their reactions and interactions we're actually very honest and normal. Which isn't something we see in a lot of romances. Emotions and reactions and interactions everything all seems to be over the top which gets boring. I'm very excited to see who book 3 is about and I won't lie, I'm rooting for Everly!

Loved this book!
first of all I was sucked in from the very beginning, especially after the first book. This story was extremely engaging and super steamy!! I'm glad he stepped up and proved he was a good man. Taylor was a good match for him.

I'm pretty sure that Kelly Jamieson might be my go-to for sexy romances. Especially for sexy sports romances. I loved her Hockey Aces series, and having read the first book in this new series Wynn Hockey, I am hooked! I really liked Play to Win, but there was just something about the Bad Boy, who is really just trying his best that captured my heart in this book. I actually pre-ordered this book, but when I saw it was available on Netgalley, I couldn't resist requesting it!

We met JP in the first book, and he's kind of in a bad place with his family since he stole his brother's girlfriend. Kinda. He's a really flawed character, but he's really trying to be a better person and to make the right decisions. I really felt for JP, because he constantly beats himself up when he makes mistakes, but in the end he's really not a bad guy.

I liked Taylor a lot, but it annoyed me that she kept dating the one boring guy even though she had such a spark with JP. I was really glad that there was no cheating in this book, emotional or physical, they both knew their boundaries and stuck to them. I was really glad about that, because I hate cheating in romance books. Taylor goes through some things and has a hard time in this book, so it was really nice to see JP be so sweet to her.

This book has a lot of sexy times in here, and they were quite good. If details aren't your thing, then you might want to skip these books. If you are familiar with Jamieson's writing these are pretty good. JP's nature to want to be kind even shines through in one of the scenes. I don't think it's a big spoiler, but there is a scene of rough sex, consensual rough sex mind you, and he asks her if she is okay because he feels bad that he got really carried away. Oh, my heart! I think he won me over that moment.

This book has a lot of the same Wynn family drama in it, but since it's from JP's perspective we got to see it differently than with Theo. I also really liked that he thought it was important that his grandfather's second wife is included, even though the rest of the family doesn't like her.

There is going to be a third book in this series that comes out in the fall, and it about Everly Wynn. Jamieson plants some of the seeds for that book in this one, and oh I can't wait to read that one either! I hope there are more though!

The characters were great. They tore up the sheets too!!
Very sweet romance with JP Wynn feeling some vulnerabilities over his screw ups when his brother seems to have it all. Taylor is a pretty awesome gal who has had some tough news to process with her family.
It's not a very difficult book but it's sweet with just the right amount of hockey hunks.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley not knowing about the author, or that there was a book one before this. Next time I'll do more research before requesting a book, as there are a lot of characters and I soon found out I missed some backstory. However it did read as a standalone as well, the missing aspects not dire to this story. I love Hockey series and this one is pretty good. It was an "uncorrected proof", so there were things that need some attention editing wise, so hopefully that's fixed before release. JP (Jean Paul) was a little rough around the edges but had the life events to back up why he was a bit gruff. He goes through some pretty big transformation as a person and to be honest it was nice to see a guy go through stuff like he did, usually it's the female of the story. Taylor is your happy go-lucky girl next door with a heart of gold. You can't help but fall for her instantly. She also goes through some life moments, that are different than most books and I honestly think she handles them with the utmost grace. I think Byron steals the show a lot of the time but he's a much needed character, I do like when animals becoming interwoven in stories. I'm actually going back through the authors library, she has a good writing style and her characters are fully developed and clearly well thought out. Even though this is the second book in a series, I'm still glad I read it, I wouldn't have known of Kelly Jamieson otherwise!

This novel is sexy and hot! I loved the first book in the series and enjoyed this one. That said, this one took a bit longer for me to get into it. I found that I liked JP, and I didn't expect that after the first book. I was interested in his story and his attempts to improve and redeem himself. Taylor was a bit shallow to me and I had expected to love her character. However, she seems a bit like a little girl lost who wallows about the wrongs in her life.

If you enjoy the genre, you will enjoy this novel. I'm a big fan of the author's and have her on my must read authors' list. This novel is a solid 4 star to me - not her best work, but still well worth reading.

This was an enjoyable continuation to the Wynn series. After reading the first book, I was looking forward to JP's story, especially to see how he could be redeemed for his past actions. Kelly Jamieson did a good job in showing a better side of JP, but I didn't much care for Taylor, she seemed immature and unfair. I enjoyed the first book more, since I loved both main characters, but this was still a fun story and I am enjoying the stories of the Wynn family in general. Jamieson has created an interesting cast of characters that will keep me interested throughout the series.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve read the other books in this series and have liked them. That being said this one fell a little flat for me. It was enjoyable but didn’t have that really good wow factor. Thank you to netgalley for the Arc.

I loved this book! It was a fast paced read that had you full of hope with just enough anguish to keep you on the edge of your seat till the very last page. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I’m so happy JP got to redeem himself in this book! Anyone who has read the first book in this series, Play to Win, knows JP has made some mistakes, but In It to Win It really shows that he’s just a bad boy with a heart of gold. The story follows JP, a pro hockey player from the complicated Wynn family. He was introduced in the first book (these can be read as standalones, but you’ll get a lot more enjoyment out of the book if you’ve read Play to Win first). JP is trying to make things right with his family after a falling out involving his brother’s girlfriend, trying to show his team he can control his temper after some issues on the ice. It’s at his brother’s wedding that he meets Taylor, one of the bridesmaids. Thinking that he can have a steamy night with a bridesmaid, he chats up Taylor and realizes there are some serious sparks there. Things get steamy almost immediately, but when Taylor’s ex shows up and starts a fight with JP, what seemed like the start of something great turns into just another black mark on JP’s record. Hooking up with a bridesmaid sounds fun but if things don’t work out, you’ll have to keep seeing her around.

I’m not the biggest fan of the main couple having sex without feelings, but if they do, I prefer that they don’t linger in that place for long. That’s probably my least favorite part of the book - it took a long, long time for them to move past the initial hookup. Taylor also rubbed me the wrong way on several occasions. Having read Play to Win, I thought it was going to be JP who took a while to grow on me, but he was incredibly likeable for much of the book. Don’t get me wrong, this is a 4-star book, but it’s nowhere near as good as the first book in the series. Kelly Jamieson’s writing is consistently great, but I didn’t connect with Taylor or the story as much as I would’ve liked. However, I loved JP and reading more about the Wynn family, so I look forward to future books in the series. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a nice addition to a series from an author I love.

JP is not a stupid man, “when a woman says she’s ‘fine,’ that means she’s not fine.” JP may have confidence but when it comes to his woman hes unsure of everything, "I wait, rubbing my jaw, swallowing. I had it custom made for her because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. She swipes at her eyes. Jesus. I hope that means she’s happy." I liked this book, I loved JP.

I already loved Taylor and was a little intrigued by JP after the last book, and their book did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel with he not being with Manny, but JP is SO much a better choice. He needed a big hug and more. I honestly think he’s one of the most special guys I’ve read about in books, mostly because he doesn’t realize just how special he is. Can’t wait for more from the Wynn family!

This is JP and Taylor‘s book, JP is a hot big-time hockey player and part of the wynn family. Taylor always thought hockey players were hot but now she thinks they’re just crazy LOL the last hockey player she dated Manny, broke her heart when he got traded to another team and left without even a goodbye! Then he shows up at my best friends wedding and I just happened to be dancing with the groom sexy brother JP, and he jumps him out of the blue! This book was awesome! I just love Kelly's books! She is definitely one of my go to authors! This is a fairly new series there are a lot and I mean a lot of characters, that’s a little confusing to me because I can’t remember who is who even though in the beginning of the book she does have a list of who everybody is but there’s just a little too many for my brain LOL but besides that I definitely recommend reading this book and series! It’s so well worth the read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me! And thank you Kelly Jamison for writing another amazing book!
