I'm a sucker for hockey books. I don't know what it is, but I see that one of the leads plays hockey and I can't help but want to read it.
Now, I should admit, I haven't read the first book in this series, but even though I was a third of the way into this book I wasn't confused at all. There are a few scenes that reference to prior events I can only assume happened in book 1, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into it. Perhaps the writing style just isn't for me because I didn't believe in the couple and wasn't caring about the couple. Their chemistry wasn't working for me-- and I was a third of the way into the book. If I don't understand how a couple could be together or grow to like one another when I'm that far into a book, I generally know I'm not going to like it. Also, while JP is being painted as this bad person, really I liked him so much more than Taylor. His chapters felt more dynamic to me. Taylor felt more bland and judgey to me.

And yet, I did make it over a third of the way through, so that has to mean something. It isn't terrible. There are some good characters here and good scenes. I like how the author wrote about the sport. It is an easy book to read and something I wouldn't be adverse to telling someone to read while hanging out at the beach. It isn't a bad book, it just wasn't for me.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This was my first book from this author and will definitely not be my last.
This is book two of the series but can be read as a standalone.
JP has always been the hot headed bad boy of the Wynn hockey empire. He's doing everything he can to try to change and think before acting out. He's doing good until he meets Taylor.
Taylor has given up on love. She is trying everything she can to not fall for JP but he keeps doing things that make her swoon.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next but until then I'll go back and read the first book.

Originally, I couldn't get passed the first few chapters of this book. It's hard to connect with a character who has a reputation that he's resigned to. I didn't read the first book in this series and I'm not sure if that would have helped or actually hurt my ability to sympathize with JP even more.

Yes, there were misunderstandings but JP really didn't put up much of a fight to clear the air about his "bad boy" reputation in the Wynn family.

Of course, we have Taylor who was willing to put in the effort and dig into the real JP. The story just didn't mesh with me from the start so it's hard to feel excited about characters that you start off on the backfoot with. Neither were really MCs that I could truly connect with and I was just reading to cross a finish line by the midway point.

Just an ok. book for me.
I liked JP, he was a bit of a bad boy and had some major mess up’s, but he was working hard to stay on the straight and narrow and stay out of trouble.
Taylor was a terrific, loving girl, just JP’s type. But she had a tight hold on her emotions and she had had a relationship with a hockey player before and was not looking for another. The two of them had a brief encounter and that was all, he’d messed up again and being friends worked better for them both, but for how long?

In to Win it, was a fair enough story, but I found the chemistry between JP and Taylor to be a little weak. JP was a very strong character but I didn’t feel his characteristics were used to there fullest and Taylor seemed a little lacklustre, not much going on there. Loved Byron though, he got into a few tight squeezes, great stuff.
Yeah! the story is worth a look at, just not one of my favourites.

I enjoy reading everything Kelly Jamieson writes, but I especially love her stories about hot hockey players. She does a wonderful job writing this entertaining and sexy story about two people who are attracted to each other, but circumstances keep getting in the way.

JP Wynn is a charming, sweet guy with a bad boy edge. He is a professional hockey player and comes from a hockey family dynasty. JP and Taylor meet at JP’s brother's wedding. They get along great and the sparks fly between them but they always seem to have some miscommunication. They keep bumping into each other and try to ignore all the chemistry flowing between them, but each time they meet, it gets a little harder to ignore their feelings.

Even though JP has many great qualities, he has a difficult time living up to his family's expectations. He regrets many of the impulsive mistakes he has made in the past. He is a fun loving bad boy with a great sense of humor. I liked both JP and Taylor and I also loved the dynamics flowing between them. They have incredible chemistry together and share a lot of scorching looks. This is the second book in the Wynn hockey series. I not only enjoyed the two main characters in this story, but there are also many entertaining secondary characters as well. This is another great story by Kelly Jamieson.

with in it to win it the wynn hockey series continues, and this hockey romance is full of family feuds and star-crossed lovers and it's entirely delicious. i devoured this book in one sitting and absolutely adored spending time with these characters, in this world.

j.p. wynn and taylor hart are perfectly matched from the moment they meet, except they keep misunderstanding the situation and thinking the worst of each other romantically. but all these crossed wires lead them to work on their friendship, and that's what makes the relationship so special.

i can't wait for the next book in this series.

**in it to win it will publish on july 23, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/random house publishing group (loveswept) in exchange for my honest review.

While JP may have a bad boy reputation in some ways he was the more mature main figure this is book. He had more depth than Taylor, who sometimes did immature things for immature reasons. I did not read the 1st book in the series, but now I MUST just because the characters in this books were fun and entertaining. Great read.

In it To Win It by Kelly Jamieson is book 2 in the Wynn family dynasty. JP is the brother of Theo the lead in book 1 Play to Win and Taylor is Lacey’s friend. I adored book one and I highly recommend reading them in order.

Now back to JP…. In It to Win It opens a bit before the end of Play to Win and man does it open with a wallop, well after some very steamy moments that is!

JP is a man struggling with the actions of his past, a man trying to do better and be better. It is clear from the moment he meets Taylor that sees the good in JP; the man he has inside of him. The man he does not see.

I adored for the two formed an ease with each other and the use of Taylor’s dog was so perfect for the storyline!

I also loved seeing Theo and Lacey from book 1; not just seeing them happy but watching JP and Theo repair their relationship (nope not telling read the books) really added to the family dynamic and healing ofr JP.

The use of Taylor’s parents added to this story and as a reader will even make you think.. oh no I am not telling that either you need to read the book!

In the end the happy JP and Taylor find with each other is the forever kind that is perfect for them.

I LOVE the Wynn family and I am so excited for Everly Wynn’s story in Win Big coming October 2019!

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I liked the overall meaning behind the story, the majority of the characters, and how everything plays out is an enjoyable read.

I absolutely LOVED JP, like seriously, I freaking adored him. He definitely messed up with his brother and family, but he owns it and does not try to pretend that what he did was alright.

Taylor, I was not as much of a fan of. There were just small things that rubbed me the wrong way about her and made her seem a bit wishy washy and I did not feel the chemistry between her and JP.

The overall story and majority of the characters were good though. I loved reading about the crazy Wynn family and how much this huge family works together and I am looking forward to reading more books in the series!

PS: Thank you to Netgalley and L Woods PR for allowing me an advanced copy to be able to read and review.

Kelly certainly knows how to give us a great sports romance filled with comedy and sizzle! I was very intrigued with JP in the first book. He was shall we say a player and a bit of a jerk but he has come to redeem himself and tell his story!! Taylor is sweet, smart , sexy and looking of just one night . She knows JP's track history but that does not stop her when she is on a mission. I loved their story and also cathing a glimpse into all my favorite characters from the first book !!!

The Wynn family is a hockey dynasty. And now we have JP's story. And it takes a minute to figure out how everyone food, they author had even provided a little whose who to help you out. JP and Theo are brothers, but they are part of different hockey franchises. Just keep reading, it sinks in soon enough.
JP is trying to be different, he's made mistakes on the part that have hurt those he cares about. Trying to eliminate excessive emotion doesn't seem like the way to deal with things, but he's determined. Just one little issue, Taylor brightens his day and is hard to ignore.
Taylor is trying to be independent, she's also over hockey players. We know that won't work for her when she is seriously attracted to JP at Lacey and Theo's wedding. One night could lead to forever... You never know with the Wynn's.

Pretty good book. I love sports romances and this one I had to check out. I liked the story and the characters. If you like hockey and romance, this book is a definite must read.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn’t sure if it would be possible for JP to redeem himself after steeling his brother’s girlfriend in book one, but he did! I enjoyed learning more about him and seeing how big his heart really is, his journey in finding love with Taylor. They definitely had chemistry but watching them grow and learn together was heart-warming. I honestly feel for JP right away. It took some time for me to really connect with Taylor, but in the end, she did win me over.

I thought this was a really good addition to the Wynn Hockey series and loved that JP and Theo were able to put the past behind them. I can’t wait to see what Kelly Jamieson has in store for us in the next book!

Book two in the Wynn Hockey series. First time of Kelly Jamieson. Was a great read.

JP Wynn has a reputation. He might of stole his brothers Theo’s girlfriend in the past. He’s a bad boy hockey player.

Taylor Hart believes in love. She’s a speech therapist and is Lacey’s best friend.

These two start of on the wrong foot. A couple of misunderstandings between the two. But there’s an undeniable attraction between them. They meet at JPs brothers wedding. Which started this steamy romance.

A overall good read. Would definitely need to check out more books.

Known as the bad boy of hockey, JP Wynn has a temper and doesn’t always make the best choices. But, he’s determined to show both his family and his teammates he’s a different person now. A little flirting t at his brother’s rehearsal dinner with a gorgeous bridesmaid never hurt anyone, though, right? Wrong again!

Taylor Hart wasn’t looking for a hookup, but when one presented itself, she couldn’t say no to the sexy as sin best man. It also didn’t hurt that she could make the ex that ghosted her who also happened to be at the wedding a little jealous. But, when a fist fight breaks out, Taylor is out. But is she?

JP and Taylor are thrown together again and again since JP’s brother is married to Taylor’s best friend. And, the more time they spend together, the more the sparks fly and their friendship grows. But, can their friendship grow to be more than the one night stand it started as?

In It to Win It was a really sweet story. JP is the bad boy of hockey . . .but is he really? Once you know him, he’s really a great guy who needs to control his emotions better on and off the ice. He’s made bad decisions, but typically with good intentions and takes and keeps the blame and guilt on himself. Taylor is just a bundle of all around sweetness. She is experiencing a lot of major life changes which is causing her to doubt everything, including her core belief in love and relationships.

Together, this couple has a lot of ups and downs. I loved watching both of them learn and grow about themselves while falling for each other when neither really wanted to be in a relationship at all. I think what I loved best about this romance was the fact that it was an adorable pup that really brings JP and Taylor together and helps to cement their feelings for one another. Byron is the best!

It was a little tricky jumping into the Wynn family dynamics without reading book one, but the book and story were super enjoyable and was a fabulous romance. 4.5 stars!

I loved reading JP and Taylor’s love story. I would love to read Theo’s story. There’s drama and misunderstandings. There’s Ann instant attraction when JP and Taylor meet but there are challenges as they try to pursue a relationship. Engaging read. Recommended read

Kelly Jamieson does it again!
I've read several of her books, and they have all been such great reads. Of course, this one is no different. I love that JP is genuinely trying to change is behavior; both on and off the ice.

This is the second book in the series about the extremely dysfunctional Wynn Family, a Hockey Dynasty. Fortunately, the author provides a family tree of sorts at the beginning to help keep all the characters straight. The first book was about Theo, how he rescued Lacey from Los Vegas, and brought her to California, where she pretended to be his girlfriend to throw in the face of his brother, PJ, who he and the entire family believed stole his previous girlfriend. But things are often not like them seemed, and it was PJ that was being used by said girlfriend. In the end, all worked out for the best, because Theo and Lacey fell in love and PJ and Theo have reconciled. However, PJ is still holding on to guilt for that and many other things that were never his fault, but he accepted the blame for.

The book starts with Theo and Lacey's big wedding (they had already married in Los Vegas) and PJ lays eyes on Lacey's friend, Taylor Hart, a speech language pathologist, who loves working with kids. They hit it off, but when Taylor tries to make a former boyfriend, Manny, jealous, Manny starts a fight with PJ (a typical Wynn gettogether) and she inexplicably gets mad at PJ. PJ has been working on himself and trying to be a better person and keep his temper in check, but part of his family doesn't want to let him forget his mistakes, so gets angry at Taylor, thinking that he again was with someone else's girl. PJ and Taylor are attracted to each other, but misunderstandings keep them apart, until a family crisis in Taylor's family, leaves her convinced that forever love doesn't exist, and her dream of love and a family is dead. Yet, she finds herself going to PJ for comfort. (He has also been keeping her dog Byron.) Then it is PJ's turn to screw up, until Theo convinces him to get his head on straight and forgive himself. At first I did not like Taylor as she seemed irrational, but both characters grow and open themselves to love.

The author has created a fascinating family of characters that will take her through many books. The books are written in an entertaining and compelling voice, which makes them terrific reads. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I very much enjoyed the writing style of this book. JP and Taylor start off at odds and the journey to bring them together is sweet, sexy and fun. There are sometimes a few things that take a while to get over when it comes to Taylor's self centeredness but overall it adds to the story. JP is a bad boy but he has been paying for a mistake for too long. The flow is easy and the backstory is strong.
