IN IT TO WIN IT is the second instalment in Kelly Jamieson’s contemporary, adult WYNN HOCKEY erotic, romance hockey series focusing on the Wynn family hockey dynasty, owners and operators of the NHL’s California Condors, and the Long Beach Golden Eagles. This is twenty-six year old, Long Beach Golden Eagles, professional hockey player Jean Paul ‘JP’ Wynn, and twenty-four year old speech pathologist Taylor Hart’s story line. IN IT TO WIN IT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (JP and Taylor) IN IT TO WIN IT follows the acrimonious relationship between twenty six year old, Long Beach Golden Eagles professional hockey player Jean Paul ‘JP’ Wynn, and twenty-four year old speech pathologist Taylor Hart. JP’s brother Theo married his sweetheart Lacey Olson but a one-night stand between JP and Taylor Hart resulted in a dance floor brawl between JP and Taylor’s former beau, a brawl that left JP struggling to understand what went wrong and why. Believing he once again found himself in a relationship with a woman already spoken for, JP goes on the defensive when Taylor refuses to admit what happened or why. Weeks to months will pass where JP and Taylor will cross paths, paths that will soon lead to a second chance at romance and love. What ensues is the building relationship between Taylor and JP, and the potential fall-out when Taylor reveals the truth about the night where everything went all to h*ll.

JP Wynn struggles with both his on and off ice persona; a reputation as a man-whore who ‘stole’ his brother’s girlfriend, recent events place JP back in the dog house with his family, his teammates and the woman with whom he had hoped to see again. Taylor Hart’s life is about to spiral out of control but her on-again, off-again friendship slash relationship with JP Wynn is threatened by the secrets she keeps hidden to herself. When a former boyfriend discovers the relationship between JP and Taylor, JP finds himself targeted for sins of the past.

The relationship between JP and Taylor is one of immediate attraction but JP’s reputation precedes his introduction to our story line heroine. Taylor battles between head and heart as she struggles to forget about the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are once again, reintroduced to the large extended and slightly dysfunction Wynn family including Theo and Lacey;Grandpa Bob Wynn, and coach /uncle Mark Wynn.

IN IT TO WIN IT is a story of family, secrets, lies and revelations. The premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are charismatic and colorful; the romance is seductive but Taylor’s puzzling actions hurt our hero more than once but several times over.

In It to Win it is a fun and entertaining romance, the 2nd book in the series and about the 179th hockey romance by Jamieson. (Maybe not that many but she has written a lot of great hockey romances.)

Both Theo and Taylor (our couple) are likable people from the start. Theo seems a little bit shifty at first, but he's likable from the beginning of the book. It took me a while to see why Theo and Taylor really belonged together, but I did eventually. Theo is a hard character to take seriously at first, because he just seems like such a playa frat boy type. (Spoiler) He actually is a solid guy when you need him.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance.

The guy that everyone loves to hate proves he's even more of a screwup when it comes to love. In It to Win It should be called attack of the romance disaster. JP and Taylor leave chaos in their wake, everytime they cross paths. Jamieson thrusts two accident prone hearts in the middle of a nuclear, attraction and drama ensues. Can the king and queen of heartache, be a match made in heaven? Taylor and JP keep the senses at full alert with their overexcitable antics. There's never a dull moment with this unpredictable duo.

I knew this book would be angsty! In the first book of the series, Play to Win, we get introduced to the chaos that is the Wynn family. It paints a pretty crappy picture of JP, who is the main character in this book, and it made me eager to learn what the real story is. I think something that makes Kelly Jamieson's books intriguing is the realness of the characters. There were times I didn't like the characters because of the choices they made. On the other hand, Jamieson does a great job at giving you back story so you understand why the characters do what they do. She's also great at chemistry! I mean the chemistry between JP and Taylor is sizzling good. I would definitely recommend this book to readers that love sport romance with a lot of ups and downs. The rocky journey makes the ending so much better!

I enjoyed JP's story much better than Theo's in the first book.
JP was the bad boy and "villain" in Theo's story and Kelly jumped right into JP's life seamlessly.
I'm excited to see which Wynn gets picked for the next book!

Wonderful pro-sports, hockey, romance. The blurb gives the reader a good idea of what the story is about. Its more realistic because both of the characters are real with flaws. JP has a lot to live up to with a famous grandfather, brother, uncle and many other family members that all are part of hockey. Taylor is a sweet speech therapist who works mostly with children. She and JP are drawn to one another yet each have issues to deal with. The story gets emotional and even tho JP and Taylor care for each other both are afraid to love. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

I went into this book having not read the first in the series, but with a deep love for any hockey romance stories.

The highlight of this book for me was definitely JP. He felt genuine and realistic, and was trying to be a better person throughout the book while still being relatable and human. I know I would be happy to be on the receiving end of his affections!

(That being said, A for the bedroom scenes)

There was some decent banter, the hockey references were good (she's one of the first authors I've come across that have actually detailed what goes on during training camp), the yoga scenes were fun, and who doesn't love a guy with a soft spot for a golden retriever?

I will say though, the big time jumps felt weird, some phrases got repetitive, and at times the voices of all the characters sounded the same, so it was hard to tell who was narrating (or really care for that matter). It all blended together, and not in a good way. A part of this is because of the first issue below.

There were two main issues I had that really prevented me from enjoying this book. First, the whole family drama/dynamic. There was a lawsuit that kept being alluded to, who owned/worked for what team, who was mad at who and how were they related? The grudges that were held onto for no apparent reason and petty drama. It was too much and it seriously took away from the story rather than add to it. If you want to read a book with a glossary of family members at the beginning, then go to town, but it was unnecessarily complicated for me.

Secondly, I really and truly disliked Taylor. She was so forgettable, immature, and annoying. Like, come on, I just couldn't stop rolling my eyes from the moment she ran out of the wedding on. Her characterization and perspective felt incredibly superficial, and she did little more than whine through the entire book. I would have given the book 2.5 stars but she made me drop it by 0.5 because I was that annoyed by her. She continuously made cringeworthy, terrible choices. JP kept saying he wasn't a good enough person for her, but let's be honest it was the other way around.

Some people may really enjoy this book, but there were just too many negatives for me and I couldn't really get immersed in it. I do wonder if it would be different if I read the first book in the series first!

I was interested in reading JP's story after meeting him in the first book as the sort of "villain". I was happy to see that he was trying to redeem himself with his brother. I grew to like him, but he was a bit immature for me to fall for. That kind of influenced how I felt his interaction, and chemistry, was with the heroine. I like the series and KJ's writing which landed me at 3 1/2 stars for book two in the Wynn Hockey series.

I am a big fan of Kelly Jamieson, but I have to say that this book is not one of her best works. At least, in my opinion, it's not. I was not a big fan of two things. The first was the timeline of the story. We had several time jumps that were rather vague about how much time had actually passed and the only thing I know for sure is that at some point the main characters celebrated Christmas. I didn't even know how much time these two spend together and it was bugging me a lot. Taylor started dating another guy for the love of God and that part was also not to my liking. She was dating him for a month, then she wasn't and we barely saw the guy. I don't even know why she dated him. She was just fixed on the idea of him been the next man in her life before even they went on their first date. Which leads me to the second thing I wasn't a fan of. Taylor. JP made plenty of idiotic decisions in the past and during this story, but he was better developed and his actions made sense, even when I didn't like them. Taylor was making less bad decisions, but hers had more impact on the story and were mostly on the negative side like the time when she decided to start dating another man. I was just not a fan of hers and she never grew on me.

I had some trouble getting into the book in the beginning and I have a feeling that mainly my dislike for Taylor was at fault. The romance was a little slow for me and it's not like that Taylor and JP had much interaction in a good way after their initial hookup. I will remain neutral on the recommendation.

Another winner by Ms.Jamieson!I enjoyed this book as much as her other hockey themed stories. This is the second one in the Wynn family series and it features JP and Taylor.I love the way they both had no intentions of getting involved in a relationship but it happened and the story has emotional, hot scenes and enough drama that kept my interest from start to finish.Highly recommend this book!

Nothing like reading a book about a bad boy who deep down isn't really a bad boy. This is how I felt about JP. In the first Wynn Hockey book - Play To Win - JP was cast as the selfish brother to Theo. I have to admit I even felt this way about him. But with his own book I definitely changed my mind as I was able to read his version of events.
Taylor was absolutely perfect for JP. Nothing seemed to faze her. If things didn't go according to plan, she eventually worked out the positives in it. This is something JP struggles with, and admittedly he struggles throughout the book with his reactions.
I enjoyed how their relationship played out. It definitely wasn't instalove, more like instalike. Plus their mutual love and affection for Byron!!
Can't wait to get my hands on the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

This is the second book in the Wynn Hockey series. I haven't read the first book yet. But I think it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed JP and Taylor story. I thought these two were wonderful characters and had wonderful characters. It was easy to read and a age turner. This is a well written and romantic story. i look forward to reading more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thought and opinions are of my own. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this story.

I thought this book was just ok. I had trouble getting into it with the time jumps and having not read the first book. I did like the writing and JP grew on me but I was kind of apathetic towards Taylor. I'm going to read the first book so this one at least made me interested in the series and I'll read the next one too.

4.25 stars!

In It to Win It is the second book in the Wynn Hockey series. I liked the first one, but this far exceeded my expectations.
JP was not my favorite character in the first book. So for the author make me change my idea of him completely means she has done a great job.

JP is the very impulsive younger sibling. He gets into trouble often and is driven by his emotions.
So when he sees Taylor (a bridesmaid) at his brother’s wedding, he’s immediately gravitated towards her. And the feeling is very much mutual. The tension is sizzling.
Something happens at the wedding that kills any hope of this little fling continuing beyond this weekend.

Being back home and running into each other doesn’t help them to try to forget what they initially felt. The passion just comes back with even more fierceness. They can’t be together, insert some drama, hilarious moments and delicious tension then you’re just begging for them to come to their senses.

I think JP redeemed, which is a major part for his character growth. He’s a kind and generous man. He’s just a guy trying to do better and be better, and I told that to be quite relatable.
He and Taylor brought out the best in each other. Taylor goes through some familial issues and JP was there for her.

Enjoyed seeing the rest of the side from the previous book but also glad they didn’t overwhelm me.

I really liked this one. I wasn’t really expecting to enjoy it as much as I did given the way it started out rushed.
But there’s a brilliance to that very fact. Because later in the book everything is built up well and it made for a better story.
It showed how much the characters needed to grow and work through their issues to reach the best destination.

JP did his brother horribly wrong in the first book and his family won't let him forget it. He and his brother are trying to move past it and move forward, but it is hard. Even JP has a hard time forgiving himself. While at the wedding he notices Taylor and moves the placecards around so he will be sitting by her, little does he know that she is the one who put the seating arrangement together. She doesn't seem to mind and they end up having some interesting dinner conversation. He tells her that he wants her to come to his room but he doesn't think she will. When she arrives, their night is hoooottttt.
The next day at the wedding, her ex boyfriend shows up and JP believes he just stepped in it again. He decided he was going to make better decisions, and now it seems as if he was with another man's woman. This book had me from the beginning. The chemistry between JP and Taylor was out of this world and they truly belonged together. There were times when Taylor irritated me, but she was the rock JP needed when he needed one, and for that I fell in love with her character. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

This second Wynn Hockey romance gives us Taylor and JP, and comes with all the wit and fun that I always love about Kelly Jamieson's books. That said, this one didn't grab me like the author's other books have. It was a bit repetitive and lagged at times, and I get that JP's guilt was a big part of the story, but it got to be a little much after a while. Don't get me wrong, the story is still good, I just didn't get into this one like I was hoping or expecting. I think some of my problem lay with the romance. I just didn't feel it with these two, at least for the first half of the book. Nevertheless, the story does have its shining moments, including a hilarious Christmas gathering, and JP and Taylor did eventually grow on me as a couple. We also get more of the whole Wynn clan, and that's always good for some drama. So, while this may not be my favorite Kelly Jamieson book, it is certainly worth the read, and I look forward to whatever comes next for this crazy family.

Kelly Jamieson is one of those authors that I reach for automatically. Her latest book offering, In It to Win It, is an exciting read. This is the second book from the Wynn Hockey series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Speech pathologist Taylor Hart and professional hockey player JP Wynn find love when they least expect it. They spend one passionate night together after attending the rehearsal dinner of Taylor's best friend and JP's brother. Due to miscommunications, they are unable to explore the electricity that surges between them. So they decide to be friends and overlook their attraction. Naturally, circumstances bring them closer together, and Taylor's dog happens to be very helpful in evolving their relationship into a full blown romance.

Getting to know both Taylor and JP was fun and I especially enjoyed all the hockey action. Taylor's parents present an interesting twist to the plot, while the Wynn hockey dynasty is one to be admired. Overall, a solid read.

Cute, fun story! JP and Taylor started out hot and heavy, but this story quickly turned into a sweet, slow burn. Lots of witty banter and the perfect amount of steam.

I enjoyed JP and Taylor's story. JP was a charming, lovable rascal with a big propensity for getting in trouble (even when trying to avoid it). Taylor, I did like but I admit to being quite frustrated with her a few times throughout the book. Still, I very much approved of these two as a couple. I thought the story line was fun and offered a great blend of drama, tension, turmoil, humor, heat and heart.

Hot hot hot. To be honest there are few authors any more that I will read hockey romance from. But Ms Jamieson is definitely on that list. And this book was everything I have come to expect from her. It was well written and romantic. One I will definitely read over and over.
