There was something about this book...things that normally would have irritated me didn't. I think a part of that was JP. Sure he was a screw up, but he was working hard to correct that part of himself. You could see when he would pull himself back and how he would beat himself up when he wasn't successful.

Taylor was fun and the perfect person for JP. It was easy to see why at times she was a bit wary of starting anything with him, but if she forgot that he was a hockey player all was good. The two of them together were cute, they had fun razzing each other and just hanging out.

I was glad when Taylor found out why JP messed up it didn't seem to hurt as much, because it was all for her.

I always love Ms. Jamieson's books. In It To Win It, was very emotional for me. I felt so sorry for JP. He was hard on himself plus his family were too. The poor guy couldn't get a break. The ending was great, everyone gets a happily ever after.

I think the biggest thing as to whether or not you'll love this book is if you believe in and feel the chemistry JP and Taylor have. Unfortunately, I did not. The opening scene had me all sorts cringing and I never fully recovered from it. There's a will they/won't they beginning followed by a casually exclusive relationship, and of course, a rift that they must overcome in order to realize they love each other. All of this hinges on their chemistry though. And most of the time, I didn't feel it.

I did enjoy the camaraderie between all of the characters. Even though this is the second book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone and you don't feel confused or disconnected from the side characters.

I received an advanced copy through Netgalley in return for an honest review.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book for an honest review!

I was really excited to get this book as I had read the first on the series and fell in love with Lacey and Theo. But now I’m in love with JP and Taylor, and lets not forget Bryon.

A wedding, a fight, a hook up, an ex, several mistakes made, equals a damn great book.

The characters are so interesting and yet strong. I want more. I really want to read Theo and JP’s aunts book? Is she getting one I Hope?

This book is so much more than hockey although I do love a great violent game? Lol!

This is the second book in the Wynn Hockey series. You can read it as a standalone, you will miss some of the background on the main character, JP Wynn.

The book was a quick, fun read that's perfect for summer. The story was witty and sexy but it was definitely predictable and at times it was lost in the weeds of the family backstory. That's is why I'm giving it 4 chilli peppers of hotness.

I received a free ARC from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased opinion. All thoughts are my own, thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

An absolutely stunning novel about family, love and forgiveness! Jp and Taylor’s story is one that I loved from start to finish! Their chemistry, easy flow of conversation and overall interactions were always on fire and made my heart happy!

Jp and Taylor have been through some crazy times and we see both of them grow and learn from their mistakes! Both are trying to understand the world around them and their place in it! As Jp struggles to come to terms with his past he has to decide if he can give his all to Taylor or if he needs to put all his focus on hockey! What I loved is that in the end his family didn’t let him fail and they let him see that love is worth it in the end!

I received an advanced reader's copy of In It to Win It by Kelly Jamieson from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel in the Wynn Hockey universe that I had read so I was a little leery about jumping into an ongoing series, but it was easy to catch up and comprehend the existing relationships.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel and I found it to be well written. The primary characters' romantic start seemed a little unbelievable and immature, but it improved quickly. Also, I enjoyed the primary and secondary characters' interactions and the steamy scenes were hot. A fun, quick read!

A nice romance

This book is the second one in a sports romance series and I enjoyed reading it. The story is set shortly after the first books ends and all of the main characters from the first book are part of the story. The story focuses on JP and Taylor. JP is trying to reapair the relationship with his brother and struggles with some decisions from the past. He meets Taylor at his brother‘s wedding and the attention between them is sizzling from the get go. However there are some complications, that make them starting a real relationship instead of a one night stand hard. However caring about a dog together gives them the chance to get to know each other better and fall in love.

I had a good time while reading this book. The story was a bit predictable, especially one development towards the end, however that didn‘t bother me. The ending also felt a tad rushed, but was still working forme. I enjoyed how the relationship between Taylor and JP developed and that they had time to get to know each other closely. The mixture of sweet, sexy and funny scenes was just right.
I’m definitely planning to read the next book in the series. I just hope that the story line involving JP‘s family will not get too much space, because it‘s starting to annoy me a bit.

Review will be published on different sites like amazon and Apple Books, as soon as the book is published.

I didn’t read the first book but let me just say I loved this book JP and all the things that he went through and blamed his self for and took all the blame for things I felt really bad for him but I loved him as a character. Taylor I also liked her as a character even though he playing hard to get made me a little angry I still liked her. I don’t like how the family doesn’t really like chealse. I do like the hockey part and the romance so it was right up my alley and it was really steamy If you know what it means

So there were things I liked and things I didn’t. Why did Manny have to be a bad guy????? Not cool.

JP.... really liked him!!! Being so self conscious and wanting to change. I felt bad for him at times. I wanted to tell him that I liked him how he was!!

Paddle board yoga... what a cool addition to the book and Harrison??? Can we have him next??

Chelsea... I sure hope something happens in this series where the family will finally accept her!!!

Taylor.... liked her at times and then at other times I didn’t. Not sure what the point was with her Mother. What did that add to the story?

Byron.... omg!!! Christmas!!!! Enough said.

Another winner from Kelly Jamieson :)

Not as funny as the first in the series, but the characters are pretty great. They are real, with issues anyone might face and struggle to overcome them.

In it to win it is JPs story. We met him in book one and know he has made some poor decisions. Now that everything is going better between him and his brother what better way to cement that then a fight at his brothers wedding?

After everything with Emma, he’s trying to make better choices. But the bridesmaid Taylor has his attention and won’t let go. What starts as a one night thing turns into during the wedding thing and has potential for more until he’s tackled at the reception.

Taylor is searching for love. When her ex just left without a word it stung. But there is something about JP she is drawn to. The fight changes things and now they can’t stand to be near each other although the sparks are flying off them.

The back and forth. Between these two is great. The story is better and of course there is hockey and more crazy Wynn family drama. But poor Taylor has her own family drama. Just all in all loved this one.

This is book 2 in a new series and it was even better than the first one. Does it stand alone? It can I suppose but it really doesn't. There are things that happen in the first book that really effect this storyline so its really best if you read the first story first then read this one.

This is JP's story, he is the guy that stole his brothers girlfriend and he is trying to make it up to his brother Theo. But he is kinda a screw up. He ends up having sex with Taylor at Theo's wedding rehearsal and then wedding reception. Until he finds out Taylor has a boyfriend, a fellow hockey player who beats him up.

Taylor meanwhile is so DONE with hockey players and just wants to meet a calm and normal nice guy. And she does so for part of the story she is with this other guy. And that gives JP and her a chance to form a friendship which I loved. I loved watching these two fall in love and really see the other.

This was a fun and wonderfully writtend story and I absolutely adored JP and how he tries so hard to do better but it usually blows up in his face.

Bad choices on and off the ice have led him to one oh hockey’s ultimate bad boys. JP wants things to change...to right the wrongs of his past and focus on becoming a better person. Meeting Taylor provided him with the strength and desire to forgive himself. Taking that first step was what he needed to feel like he finally found his place in the infamous Wynn dynasty. After all, being a Wynn doesn’t mean you’re perfect and with hard work and determination you may finally have it all.

I loved the first book of the series but was left feeling nothing but disappointment when I picked up "In It to Win It". The plot was lacking that something something that originally drew me in like "Play To Win", the lead characters Taylor and JP were too immature got my liking and lacked real chemistry when it felt more sexual than anything else and the writing style felt completely different from the prequel and that obviously was a total turn off. I wasn't expecting this complete 180° in the Wynn Hockey series and it almost became too difficult to finish the series that as much as I love the author, I unfortunately decided to dropped the series. I'm hoping when book three of the Wynn Hockey collection is release, it'll be more worthwhile than "In It to Win It."

Oh, this was good.

I love a good hockey romance, but I need a decent amount of both the hockey and the romance. Kelly gives the perfect amount of each. Best of all she knows her hockey.
JP is fun, he's the opposite of his brother Theo, except he has a huge heart. He's just better at hiding it. He's his own worst enemy and although I felt like he was overly hard on himself I had to remind myself that we humans are sometimes destructive like that. But JP's changing his way, trying harder to do better, make better choices and I felt like while paddle board yoga isn't something most would choose to learn to be more centered and less reactive it fit with the setting.
I am so so glad Taylor's story didn't put her in Nashville with Manny. She needed to stay in California...her story belonged there with Lacey and Everly riding along. Taylor is thrown some curve balls. She works hard to to understand the changes that comes her way and make adjustments but like JP she's her own worst enemy. She just doesn't realize it. And geez her reaction is beyond human. I actually think she reacted better than I did as I was reading it! Maturity is obviously her strong suite.
Kelly does a wonderful job pulling you into the story. Not only because we're seeing characters that we're already a little familiar with but because we're getting more of these characters we want stories to. Her world building is phenomenal and just very thorough. I was never annoyed with any of her characters. I felt that their reactions and interactions we're actually very honest and normal. Which isn't something we see in a lot of romances. Emotions and reactions and interactions everything all seems to be over the top which gets boring. I'm very excited to see who book 3 is about and I won't lie, I'm rooting for Everly!

Loved this book!
first of all I was sucked in from the very beginning, especially after the first book. This story was extremely engaging and super steamy!! I'm glad he stepped up and proved he was a good man. Taylor was a good match for him.

I'm pretty sure that Kelly Jamieson might be my go-to for sexy romances. Especially for sexy sports romances. I loved her Hockey Aces series, and having read the first book in this new series Wynn Hockey, I am hooked! I really liked Play to Win, but there was just something about the Bad Boy, who is really just trying his best that captured my heart in this book. I actually pre-ordered this book, but when I saw it was available on Netgalley, I couldn't resist requesting it!

We met JP in the first book, and he's kind of in a bad place with his family since he stole his brother's girlfriend. Kinda. He's a really flawed character, but he's really trying to be a better person and to make the right decisions. I really felt for JP, because he constantly beats himself up when he makes mistakes, but in the end he's really not a bad guy.

I liked Taylor a lot, but it annoyed me that she kept dating the one boring guy even though she had such a spark with JP. I was really glad that there was no cheating in this book, emotional or physical, they both knew their boundaries and stuck to them. I was really glad about that, because I hate cheating in romance books. Taylor goes through some things and has a hard time in this book, so it was really nice to see JP be so sweet to her.

This book has a lot of sexy times in here, and they were quite good. If details aren't your thing, then you might want to skip these books. If you are familiar with Jamieson's writing these are pretty good. JP's nature to want to be kind even shines through in one of the scenes. I don't think it's a big spoiler, but there is a scene of rough sex, consensual rough sex mind you, and he asks her if she is okay because he feels bad that he got really carried away. Oh, my heart! I think he won me over that moment.

This book has a lot of the same Wynn family drama in it, but since it's from JP's perspective we got to see it differently than with Theo. I also really liked that he thought it was important that his grandfather's second wife is included, even though the rest of the family doesn't like her.

There is going to be a third book in this series that comes out in the fall, and it about Everly Wynn. Jamieson plants some of the seeds for that book in this one, and oh I can't wait to read that one either! I hope there are more though!

The characters were great. They tore up the sheets too!!
Very sweet romance with JP Wynn feeling some vulnerabilities over his screw ups when his brother seems to have it all. Taylor is a pretty awesome gal who has had some tough news to process with her family.
It's not a very difficult book but it's sweet with just the right amount of hockey hunks.
