4 1/2 STARS!

A hockey dynasty carries on! After reading Book One in this series, I was excited for it to continue, but in all honesty I wasn't sure JP could be redeemed into a good guy after knowing what we knew about him. I was wrong. Kelly Jamieson did an amazing job of showing his true heart and spirit very early in this book and making me start to swoon. Taylor was a bit hard to like considering how she treated him, but in the end they panned out into an enjoyable couple. Really loving this Wynn family and looking forward to a lot more to come from them!

Jean Paul Wynn knows walking into his big brother's wedding festivities that he's not going to be well accepted by family and friends here, so finding a sexy bridesmaid to blow off a little steam with doesn't seem like a bad idea ... until it is. Did he really just get punched by some dude at his brother's wedding reception?

Taylor Heart isn't looking for a man at this point in her life, but JP is hard to resist ... especially after they hook up for some of the best sex of her life. Only now her ex Manny is acting like he owns her when he starts throwing fists around. Both of them are now on her bad side. Men!

JP and Taylor have explosive chemistry that I loved watching them fight. It’s a slow burn but when they finally give in, their relationship is hot!
I enjoyed watching both characters grow and allowing the emotions to be pulled right from the pages.
I would recommend this book.

Hockey player, Enemies to Lovers, dog lover

Kelly Jamieson is one of my go-to authors for hockey romance and I was so thrilled that she was starting a new series. I adored the first book in the Wynn Hockey series, and this one was just as great. Although this could be read as a standalone, I think it would be helpful to have read the first book. JP was painted as a bit of a selfish jerk through most of the first book so you know that this was going to be a redemption story, which isn't always easy to pull off. However, I ultimately found it really easy to fall for JP and how he acted towards and treated Taylor.

My one complaint with this series is that I have a hard time keeping all the members of the Wynn family straight due to the sheer number of them and their "modern family" dynamic. :)

JP is a professional player who is know for his passionate demeanor whether it comes to his personal life or his hockey career which can get him into a bit of trouble. He is still trying to make amends to his family for his last decision and has accepted full responsibility even though there is a lot more to the story than his family knows. He is determined to be more controlled in all aspects of his life but that was before he met Taylor.

Taylor is a speech therapist for children and is attending her best friend’s wedding when she meets JP. The chemistry between them is electric and the aftermath of that chemistry causes an altercation at the wedding that leaves JP feeling that history is repeating itself and causes dissention within his family once again.

Since her best friend married his brother, they are bound to see each other again and when all the misunderstandings are cleared up it is clear that they are perfect for each other. JP shows what kind of man he is as he supports Taylor through some turmoil in her family life, but the challenge of learning to balance the demands of his career and their relationship proves to be the biggest challenge.

It was great to catch up with entire Wynn family and to learn that there is so much more to JP than we had seen in previous books in the series.

JP is truly a bad boy because he stole my heart!!!! Have you read the first book in the series yet? We met both JP and Taylor in Play to Win and while each book can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading the prior book so you can meet both JP and Taylor and see what has been going on with their lives and have brought them to where they are today and it would also give you some background on a pretty big scene that happens at JP's brother Théo's wedding. But as I said previously it can totally be read as a standalone if that is what you wish to do.

I really enjoyed JP and Taylor together. They each had some issues they were going through, Taylor's issues were new and she had some trouble adjusting to the changes going on in her life where as JP's issues were the same as they had been for a while, he was the black sheep of the family, the screw-up the one that always acted before he thought. But JP was trying to change all of that and honestly no one was seeing it and that pissed me off. Yes he made mistakes but seriously are you going to make him pay for them for the rest of his life especially since the one everyone likes to harp on was probably for the best anyway. Yes, he slept with his brothers girlfriend but she told him they were broken up and if she could do that with her boyfriends brother she can do that with anyone so why is the guy still paying for it years later??????

This was a great addition to the series, I really enjoyed the chemistry between Taylor and JP as well as their friendship. Byron was the best dog ever! If you enjoy sports romances especially hockey romances I urge you to grab a copy of this book I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Happy Reading!!!

JP Wynn has some big shoes to fill and he sure puts a lot of pressure on himself to be good or better than he has been before. Living and playing as part of the Hockey good family of the Wynn's is anything but easy. Trying to please everyone is truly exhausting but in time JP realizes that he needs to give himself some room to be him and not what he thinks everyone expects him to be.

Taylor is a hopeless romantic that is dreaming about love someday. She is working towards starting her career and trying to get herself stable and out of her parents home. Problem is she loves their home on the beach and isn't in a hurry to move out. When she finds herself the object of attention from one hot hockey player, she decides to let herself live a little. She surely wasn't expecting it to be more than a one or two night thing.

Can JP find himself and realize the feeling he has the for the beautiful woman or will he push her away with all his crazy antics? Will Taylor learn to accept the changes in her life and work for the love she thinks she could have with JP?

Another great addition to the Wynn Series.

Kelly definitely knows how to write a solid hockey romance and I simply can't get enough of them. In It to Win It is book 2 in the Wynn Hockey series. I've been pretty eager for this story since I finished Play to Win. If you read it, then you know that JP didn't give the best impression to the readers. And to be honest, I wasn't sure if Kelly was going to be able to swing it so I'd fall in love with the guy. And I gotta say is that he surprised me so much and it may not have been head over heels, but I had so much adoration for his character.

We get a completely different side of JP and there's a bit of vulnerability and he's constantly punishing himself for the mistakes he has made in the past. I truly loved getting to know JP a bit more and seeing this other side to him. He truly is working towards becoming a better person and making up for his mistakes.

Throwing Taylor into the mix and you have sizzling hot chemistry. We get to know Taylor from the previous book and I was overjoyed to learn the next book would be about her. There were times when I even questioned some of her motives, but she has been burned and still trying to get past that.

I am quickly loving Kelly's hockey reads, the characters are hot and the chemistry is always insane. But she weaves in a story that instantly hooks her readers in. I was completely invested in JP and Taylor's story. Their instant connection worked for me, but it also felt real because of the conflicts that they came across. I loved witnessing the growth between both characters and I was rooting for these too.

Such a great read with the epic family drama that we can't seem to escape when it comes to the Wynn family. I can't wait for the book 3 in the Wynn series!

JP has a hard time forgiving himself for his mistakes. Meeting Taylor at his brother's wedding has a huge impact on his emotions, not to mention the sexual attraction. Scared of the intensity of their attraction,Taylor backs off from seeing JP, who thinks and then finds out after the wedding she's seeing someone else. Neither trust in love and definitely convince themselves it doesn't work for them, but a dog brings them together again and the heat and heart may change their mind about love. I'm a big fan of hockey romance and this one, eventhough it was very long and complicated, was still a good one. A free copy from Netgalley for an honest review.

What's better than a bad boy that is secretly a good guy? JP is such a likable guy that it is totally understandable why Taylor can't help herself. Neither thought they were looking for anything serious, but they couldn't deny their chemistry or how well the fit together. The story was a good one. It had it's laughable moments, but also had enough depth in the characters to make them likable. This was my first book by this author and it makes me want to read others. While part of a series, I didn't feel like I missed anything critical by starting with this one. I am curious about some of the other characters so will look for more. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kelly Jamieson lights the lamp with IN IT TO WIN IT (Wynn Hockey #2). This is JP Wynn’s and Taylor Hart’s story. The novel starts out at JP’s brother Theo’s wedding to Lacey; JP is the best man, and Taylor is a bridesmaid. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

I adored this story. JP was not my favorite person in book one, but as we find out all the details of what happened with Theo’s ex, he became a likable character. Taylor is a fun heroine. I like that these two hooked up. The two have incredible chemistry. The drama with Manny added to the story. I enjoyed how JP and Taylor both grew in this novel. I love that JP wants to become a better person for Taylor. They have some misunderstanding, and both learned from their mistakes. I love that JP takes Taylor’s Golden retriever, Byron, in. I appreciate that Byron has played a role in both books one and two.

Kelly Jamieson is doing a great job with this series. The Wynn family has interesting drama. I enjoyed the plot of this story. My heart went out to Taylor and all the changes she faced. If you haven’t read book one, PLAY TO WIN, I suggest reading it prior to this story. I recommend this series to people who enjoy contemporary sports romances. This story is dual first person narrative where characters are described in a direct manner. The conflict is mixture of internal, battling themselves, and external, battling other characters and society. The popular themes shown throughout include character, family, and fear of failure, overcoming, pride and downfall, and wisdom of experience.

JP Wynn is ready to regain control of his life, both on and off the ice, and the move past some of the bad choices that he seems to be had been making. Taylor Heart has to reevaluate her entire life after a two-night stand, a fight at her friend’s wedding and the separation of her parents. JP just wanted to have some fun and when Taylor caught his attention her thought nothing of it. After one passionate night together, he is ready for more but once again doesn’t think about all of the possible consequences to his actions. This leaves him with a beat up face, no girl and his family pissed at him once again. Taylor thought she could forget all about the disaster at the wedding but every time she goes over to Theo and Lacey’s there JP is. Now she is all for having some fun but quickly realizes that not everything can be seen on the surface. Her parents are filing for divorce, selling the family home and looking at the possibility of having to give up their family dog. Even though JP’s schedule is hectic with the start of the season, he offers to take the dog until other arrangements can be made. Can he show his family and Taylor that he is attempting to change his behavior and life?

The ideas were interesting and presented in a different manner as the flow is organized and logical. The character voices are individualized but complement each other as the word choice and sentence structure help to enhance the overall story. Yes, I would recommend this book. This book would be a good read for sports fan. Family healing, re-growth, and quests for self-discover. This book would not be good for those who dislike parental splits, family secrets, fights, insults or matters dealing with one’s sexuality.

Seductive Yet Sweet! This story is so full of fun, romance, drama, love, family, personal growth and forgiveness. After reading the first story in this series I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story about JP Wynn. And it definitely did not disappoint. I had a fantastic time reading about JP and Taylor. Their story pulled me in from the beginning and held my attention through all the twists and turns.

JP has been having a hard time ever since he dated his brother Theo’s girlfriend. Seen as the bad boy by his family, he is trying to put his past behind him and make better choices with his life. JP meets Taylor, at Theo’s rehearsal dinner. So attracted to each other they hook up that night and again during the wedding reception for the hottest sex of their lives. But when he is taken by surprise, when another hockey player Manny, jumps him at his brother’s wedding reception, and accuses him of stealing his girlfriend. JP can’t believe that again he looks like the bad boy in the eyes of his family.

Taylor has had it with hockey players. After being in a relationship with Manny and then ghosted by him after he is traded, then watching JP. And Manny get in a fight at the reception, she decides to find romance elsewhere. But with the sizzling chemistry between her and JP, as well as being best friends with JP’s sister-in-law, Taylor just can’t seem to keep away from him.

But JP has his sights set on Taylor for the win. And you don’t want to miss what he is all willing to do to stay close. I love getting to know more about this crazy and close Wynn family and so will you.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you read the previous book in the serious “Play to Win” then you know who JP and Taylor are. If you didn’t read it, I will give you a little teaser of who they both are and why their story is the one to beat. The Wynn family has a long history in hockey, and it was all created by JP’s grandfather. JP plays for his dad’s team and his brother works for his grandfather’s team who are rivals because of the family tension that has been going on for years. JP and his brother just got back on speaking terms to which he holds so much guilt over the way things went down between them. Here is his second chance to let go of the past and move on with his future the way his brother is doing. His version of moving on is with his sister-in-law’s best friend Taylor. Taylor is fresh from a breakup with a hockey player and all she has on her mind to getting over the betrayal. When Taylor and JP have their one night together it is intense and hot. That weekend is not all fun and games for them though because it turns into a brawl. The ex and JP get into and Taylor is the one that is put in the middle of it. After that weekend JP and Taylor constantly run into one another which makes it hard for them to fight the attraction. Can they both deal with the family drama and the past for them to both have the future they deserve?

This book has made me fall in love with JP and see a different side to him that we didn’t see in the first book. JP was the brother who always felt like him and Theo were in competition. I didn’t like JP when he was in “Play to Win” but he has redeemed himself because he is all about family and hockey. He wants everyone to see him as a great hockey player and all-around good guy. Taylor is trying to get her life together when she is rocked to the core by some news from her parents. Then her and JP start spending a lot of time together and it makes the book all the sweeter. Even though they got off on the wrong foot with one another after the wedding their interactions got better and better as the book went on. In it to win it’s a great book on family, love and hockey. I love the characters and the story line because who doesn’t love it when two people find there second chances at a wedding

I’ve read quite a few of Kelly Jamieson’s books, liked some more than others, but this one was definitely in the did not like category. I really tried to like JP and Taylor’s story, but I couldn’t connect with them at all. Not sure if it was their early in encounters at the wedding, or the fact that Taylor’s lame reasoning for not wanting to connect with JP after the fight during the wedding, I just couldn’t seem to like anything about this couple. In my opinion, the writing lacked any kind of excitement, which is difficult to delve into a book and keep your interest. I love hockey, and this author is really good at guiding the reader through the ins and outs of the game, but you need good characters to go along with it. Definitely better books from this author out there, this one is a pass for me.

This book is #2, in the Wynn Hockey series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Jean Paul AKA "JP" is instantly attracted to Taylor. She is everything he can think of that he wants in a woman. Only she also thinks the worst of him. Then something happens at his brother's wedding that changes it all.

Taylor has never found such a bad boy this charming and sexy. Their time together makes her think he has a better side to him. Something no one sees. Should she try to understand men or hockey players?

This book was just BAM! right from the start so intense, hot, and really good. It sets your heart pumping and then just all heat and action. I found it be quite the rush. These characters are also amazing. Deeper than they seem on the surface and sexier than most this author has brought to the table.

JP and Taylor meet at his brother's wedding rehearsal and feel instant sparks. JP propositions Taylor and she decides to go for it with her friend's sexy soon to be brother-in-law. JP knows nothing about Taylor's past with Manny and I felt she should have been upfront with him when he also attends the wedding. JP is already trying to be a better person and atone for his past mistakes with his brother, Theo. I felt JP got a bad rap and was really a decent person who was not perfect. I liked how he owned his mistakes and tried to learn from them. Felt Taylor's reaction to him and what transpired at the wedding was immature and bratty. Thought Taylor showed a real lack of owning her mistakes and somehow felt acting like a toddler was the way to go in order to cover up her feelings of guilt. She is dealt a blow in her personal life that does have her questioning love, but that had nothing to do with JP. JP did wallow in his guilt and I felt someone should have reached out to him, instead of rubbing salt in his wounds. Working for and with family is tough and I felt he had that in spades. I did like how Kelly Jamieson had two kind of opposites find their way to each other. The book didn't shed either of them in the best light at times, but it seemed real and what life is like. Loved Byron and felt he was a great addition to the book.

This author writes great hockey stories that focus on the characters and not so much the profession. I always enjoy each story no matter the title.

Put a hot hockey player in a wedding with an equally hot bridesmaid and you have the perfect setup for a one night stand – that multiplies into more when the bridesmaid wants to prove that she’s over the last guy.

Another Wynn family dynasty story about the bad boy brother, JP and Taylor Hart, the girl who will never date another hockey player after being ghosted by one when he was traded. Sounds pretty simple but when neither can keep their hands off each other, simple gets thrown out the window.

A truly entertaining story with the HEA and all that! Love this author!

JP was the bad guy in the first book. He stole his brother’s girlfriend ... but that ended up backfiring on him. He totally redeems himself in this book and I couldn’t help but love him. Taylor is just a sweetie with a big heart and I couldn’t help but cheer for her and JP to be a couple. I laughed so hard when JP took Byron (Taylor’s dog) home for Christmas ... I can’t imagine the chaos! The banter in Ms Jamieson’s books is so realistic ... it always makes me smile. This is a great addition to the series and it shouldn’t be missed.

With In It to Win It, Ms Jamieson returns us to the world of hockey dynasty family the Wynn’s. This stand alone story focus on JP and builds on the back story established for him in book one of the series (Playing to Win)

I enjoyed getting to know JP better in this story as well as his love interest, Taylor. Both are likeable characters. They each bring a little bit of baggage to the situation, but issues that are fairly normal given their ages, life experience, and family situations. The interactions between JP and Taylor as things popped up gave a lot of insight to who they are and seemed to build a solid base for a relationship that had an interesting/rocky start.

This is book 2 in a series surrounding a somewhat large family. You can start the series here, but if you do, there are some spoilers for the first book as the couple from Playing to Win (Theo and Lacey) feature prominently here as secondary characters (JPs Brother/Taylor’s friend). We also get to see a little more of the extended Wynn family and I am sure we will see them in future books. Ms Jamieson does an excellent job of pulling in enough of previously told backstory so that JP and Taylor’s story makes sense without bogging down the current story. The interactions with secondary characters are organic and it’s a pleasure to see more of them without being distracted by them.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of the Wynn family.

"Not to brag, but I don't even need alcohol to make bad decisions."

This story was my introduction to Kelly Jamieson. Yes, it was the cover that got my attention and I decided to give her a chance. Though it's the second in the Wynn Hockey series I read it as a standalone. After meeting so many amazing support characters I can see how a whole series could evolve.

JP is a good guy that keeps making bad decisions that follow him. It's a good thing that fighting in hockey is accepted, but it's not always the best way to rid yourself of frustration since penalties are often a result of impulsive actions, right? Nor is hurting his family high on his list of proud moments. He's got a lot to make up for and he's determined to get a handle on his emotions and make better choices.

Taylor isn't looking for another hot hockey player at her best friend's wedding, but that's what she finds in JP. Resisting his charms is impossible and she later ends up wishing she had after her ex shows up and makes a scene. She tries to avoid him, but that seems to be impossible as well since her bestie is married to his brother.

And did I mention Byron? I think I love him most of all. Wait till you meet him! I really enjoyed this sweet story full of misunderstandings and mishaps that kept me smiling. I also enjoyed the hockey details and the Wynn family drama. "Blood may be thicker than water, but it's not thicker than hockey."
